Twilight Eyes

Twilight eyes about to go to sleep
pull your curtains on the world of light
who knows the secrets that you keep
are they blue or are they simply white

Twilight eyes soft and ever blue
hold the images of times best forgotten
can you sleep the whole night through
forget the past it was rotten

Once you walked the shady street
where a hundred faces only misused you
made you cold from head to feet
took the white and made it dark blue

It seems only God truly forgives
human nature may not always bend
we all need one who lets us live
with our soul made white not blue

Will we ever learn?

Earthquakes, hurricanes and floods catastrophes’ them all.
Is Mother Nature warning us or just banging her head against a wall.
The pain she’s feeling deep inside is tearing her apart.
We haven’t heard a word she’s spoken not from our very start.
Plundering her bounteous gifts with no consideration.
Everybody is to blame each and every single nation.
It can’t go on this reckless folly for all will soon be gone.
Until we learn to compromise our end will surely come.
Divisions will destroy us and ignorance as well.
We are all Gods children let’s not send them all to hell.

Ever Memorable Star !

the finale curtain is done,
and star is behind the screen now
he is singing a ever memorable song
which we cannot hear and see him
but he is still in his work
with a motive to make it perfect
tears in our eyes with endless love in mind
nobody can share it
and there is no one like him.
and i dedicated these lines to my
favourite; michale jackson.

Buzz Kill # 3

Forlorn and downtrodden even cold and solemn
Such is my fate this cold February evening..,no
morning... for it is 1am and my mind is numb .
Thoughts are dull and senses seem to be of
another man far removed. Am I just going thru
the motions. Others have slowly erased
all my emotions. What happened to that young
and fearless man with great dreams and promise.
Time and responsibilities and parasites sucking
at my flesh 'til nothing left but scar tissue, broken
dreams and shattered aspirations. It's so difficult
to save the world when one can not even save
themselves. If poet be the creation of regret, then
poet you are born of noble blood. Thoughts of
crawling up to the edge of a void my sullen lofty goal.
What became of those idealistic dreams and do
I have time and or energy to even foray into
the cruel world to quest after them again. Time
my friend...in but an instant as decades are gone
as if in decay and can not however willfully
coerced ..,can not be regained. Led down a wrong
path, led in a wrong direction, led down a one-way
street now hoping to find the end and reroute myself.
Finding there is no end as it becomes a one-way
circle and I notice past habits and scenes repeat.
Oh how could I have lost my way for so long
and can I find the fast lane back. The age old question
asked, but still without logic answer. Why God, why me?
Was I not a good person...or is this indeed the rhetorical
answer. It's difficult for good people of integrety to
survive in this world of deception, manipulation and greed.
Oh God I only pray I can find the road back and soon.

Does anybody feel my pain?

WHAT IN THE HELL is that clicking
That... ticking I hear
Ringing so loudly
In my ear?!

It echoes
With cacophony
Deep and profound
Why do I hate this
Deafening sound?

In the silence of my room
Late here at night
It rings like a boom
Until daylight

It's been happening for years
It's source has me dumbfounded
If you say you can't hear it
Well then I'm astounded

It started just about
When we were ripped apart...

wait...

could it be...

the beating of my heart?

In the silent solace of
Lonely demise
I hear it most
As I close my eyes
And alone drift away
Into solitary slumber
My days of loneliness
Becoming too many
to number

My eyes cry tears
Down like rain
Is there anyone out there
Who can feel my pain?

About this poem:
I've been a widow for 16 years. Though I have moved on, now that I'm single again, sometimes, I miss my husband, especially late at night when I am alone. I think about the days, how they have passed, how much has happened... and how I am alone to enjoy them, mourn them, engage them and ignore them.

Poems like this help me get through the notion that the moment his soul was set free, mine was chained to misery.

brief affairs

I don't have the heart, to tell my heart to go
starts down promise avenue, is there I lose my way
yet I, still yet, want to follow where it leads
even though it may take me, so very far astray

what choice do I have, I'm not choosy
as I ride upon love's carousel of chance
come on heartbeat, why can't you show me?
some happy ending and wonderful romance

urging me, to be urged, by your urgent call
taken me on a oneway trip, left me in the rough
a day may come, the day, when I've heard it all
and at long last, decide that, at last, I've had enough

sacrifice

miners have died
are there any still alive?
the people..how they cry
the rescuers arrive
to find the men they strive
they fight and scrap to save
their brothers from a grave
inside a mine, it's always night
this was the longest night of their lives
several days have passed
but they can not give up
and they will never give in
a hope, a prayer, a glimmer of promise
prevent a family's worst nightmare from coming to pass
the mighty dollar rules, our lives still matter last
to have proper mine safety conditions
would cause energy bills to rise....
and it's not like we knew them or anything like that

...update...
the last four miners have been found...all deceased
the mountains weep...

The Rain

You made the pain, I made it mine
You made it rain all the time
Moods tainted by the drink
Always pushing me to the brink
Repeated threats to take my life
Sober requests to make me your wife
Guilt trips which were moronic at best
Well below average in every I.Q test
Angry words and a drug addled mind
Why the hell did I stay? Still undefined

About this poem:
I still get angry when I think about my ex and I just needed to vent that with writing. It's a bit sombre and for that I apologize.

A PHONE CALL

On a snowy morning a phone bell rings
she took it and answered
a friend of her talked more and more
about their childhood days and
ever memorable schools days
she waited for an year for that phone call
that day was January first and her birthday.
her friend never forget to call that day
and to talk about their lost life and future.
she was so sad to reveal her to days life
it was rally unexpected as they wish in child hood days
but she forget every thing after her friends call
they shared all memories and hopes
no one can stop their thoughts and feelings
they are so free to talk and share life
bcuz they cannot live without good memories
and that memories gives more hope in their life
and she will be waiting for a phone call on next January first...
that never end as waves of good memories...

Free your mind and empty your soul

Free your mind and empty your soul
There are to many people with evil ahead
Free your mind and empty your soul
Was it something I did, or something I said

Free your mind and empty your soul
Its an jungle of fear, and there all in a race
Free your mind and empty your soul
Yet another cold murder, another covered face

Free your mind and empty your soul
There is no sunshine, with rays beaming down
Free your mind and empty your soul
Trigger happy leaders, fighting for the crown

Free your mind and empty your soul
The air we breathed was fresh, the water was so clear
Free your mind and empty your soul
My door is now tighty locked, its time to face the fear
