Dutch November

The intermittent sleep
Of the trees
In the darkness
Of my window ,
And the rustle
Of leaves,
Like a groan,
And the rain,
Monotonous rain,
And the park,
And the empty lane
And a couple of enamored,
And me,
Watching them.
And the rain.
Monotonous rain....

You Will Live Forever

My heart is heavy ~
You have left an empty space in it.

You will never be forgotten ~

Your humor ~
Your talent ~
Your warm heart ~
The caring and sensitive man that many didn't realize existed.

REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND.

The Light

Please don't be taken in,
fooled by this mask that I wear,
by my nervous giggle,
or silly grin.
If you care ..listen for my words that are yet unsaid. Feel free to dig deep beneath my skin
Unlock my heart, break the chains off my feet, and remove my bullet proof vest.
The led weighted armour, and give my sensitive, weary soul rest

There is a still soft voice inside here
and it is just longing to be heard.
There is a heart, still faintly beating.......within this cage
There are dreams.. restrained, alongside wisdom... where love and compassion also reside....not rage.

A treasure hidden deep amongst the ashes, the remains left over from life's refining fire, from the trauma, loss and the pain.
There is also great love, there is peace and pleasure to gain.

Yes, life has thus far
been tough,
and.. yes... the road has been very rough,
but..here..I..am...still standing....still breathing......still believing
that for me the best is yet to arrive...
And as sure as I know
that the moon always makes way for the sun..
i also can trust that this darkness will pass,
and the light..once again..shall.. come.

Rest Home Dilemma

A lonely old man
In his rocking chair.
He just rocks
And he goes nowhere.
He'll look at you
With a glassy stare.
The sight of him
Is hard to bear.

He lost his love
Of many years.
His bloodshot eyes
Are filled with tears.
He hardly knows
If you are here.
In his sad life
There is no cheer.

He only waits
For his final day.
When they come
And take him away.
Then he will rest
And all can say.
He'll meet his love
And together they'll stay.

Where Do I Fit

Down a dirt road, I ride
Trying to forget and clear my mind
But thoughts are not easy to fade
When I remember you say
That I am nothing
And you want something
More than I can give
Why do I even live
You want someone like me
You just don't want me
I feel like this disgusting thing
You hold your nose up in front of me
Like you can't breathe
Like I'm the disease
Do I mean anything
According to you, nothing
So as I drive, I think
And my heart sinks
It's become a bottomless pit
Where in all this do I fit

ALONE

Most of the time
i feel like i do
not belong anywhere
and the world is
closing in on me.
The days where the
darkness overwhelms
my being and i can
not see past it.
The light seems
so far away from me.
I try so hard to be
this happy person but
sometimes i just am not .
My soul is dragging my
life is clouded with blue.
I just wish someone
understood how i felt
and maybe we could help
each other out but alone i
sit yet a crowd around.
Depression has come to rest
here a time so i guess i
will try to turn my head
as if not see it.
I will look up to you
my friend you have lifted
me in times when i was down.

Equalibrium

Today I’m down so deep
To where the world is fallin’ in.
And it’s darker here
Than every night
I’ve ever seen combined.
I wish that I could cry out
Before the walls cave in.
But today I’m down so deep
That I might as well
Die.

Today I’m up so high
To where there’s nothin’ left to breathe.
And the chatter
Keeps on growin’
So I can’t hear any reason.
My thoughts can’t flow out fast enough
To end my growin’ fears.
But today I’m up so high
That I might as well
Die.

I guess I’ll never know
Why I get so
High
Or
Low…
Oh!
How I miss the days
Of standin’
On the
Ground!

About this poem:
Something I wrote a few months back about having Bipolar 2. It ain't fun. But I'm proud of how this turned out (I normally just write song lyrics, not plain ol' poetry)
Hope you guys like it :D

A frozen voice.

i see the wake in the ruins of a midnight frost
covered in ice the snow falls
bottle of red wine the air flows
taking comfort sitting in a chair
a flake bouncing off her nose
breathless voice being carried off
by the wind flash of light
not coming from the sky
looking across the farmland
voices coming from afar
carried under the wind
ice covered wheat
being crushed under her feet
face of tears frozen to her eyes
she can no longer see
falls to her knees
blowing her hair the voices
she can no longer hear
falling on her face
the deep freeze covers her body
until the farmer can plow the field
flickering lights from the house
not to far for a radio was under
her chair that she did not know.

Raining Razorblades

oh hear we go again with another one of my sob stories
how i got my heart murdered and was left gory
but it's all my fault, i put myself in these situations
always trusting, loving, thinking I've found the equation
then the sun hides behind a cloud as the storm comes
believing every word she said, boy was i dumb
i feel numb, i think my heart has had a stroke
and suddenly i can't breathe as your words start to choke
every last hope i had of you being there for me
and now it's raining razorblades, but i was prepared to bleed
it's not like I've never been hurt before, you'd think I'm addicted to pain
and if so, I'll weather the storm, let it rain, let it rain

trapped, letting go

soft spoken words inside
stays within the walls
buried in the depths
where the darkness traps the light
music plays, a song is heard
the light explodes out of the darkness
soft spoken words is released
through the eyes in a liquid bath
broken down the memories of the past
stirs up to the front flashes of light
from long ago is released
soul once closed the iron gates
is now an open rusted fence
once buried soft spoken words
can now be heard of the haunting past
will forever be a
distant memory
