look at you,
look at me,
life is mean,
life is free,
open eyes and you will see,
yard is full of scrap,
road of cars driving bye,
speed of light makes your life,
enjoy the moon light within your heart,
as it fills your heart of might,
all the words cant best describe,
the most important thing in life,
despise the courts and ex`s delights,
the most important thing in life,
is the children born beyond you in life,
the future and descendant of we all,
shall their life be free like mine,
lets all gather to raise them right,
gather as an almighty one tonight,
children saviors are their parents alright,
may we all grow as one.

you are the glint in my eye
you are the sinew in my arm
the very DNA in my cells
you are my offering of time
father, your actual bones bore
me through childish dreams
and youthful ranting angers
to find as i pulled away
as far as i could be myself
that circles go 'round to find
myself back at my beginning
there with your corny jokes
and light admonitions to me
to be a man, not unfeeling,
but gently strong, happily
human as you were in yours
my half-life or half-my-life
is owed to all of you
given as your progeny
my own, my founder, my father

Do you want to know a secret?
Aloud I know dare not say
But I have to tell someone
Or I think I’ll go insane
It’s not so much a secret
It something that I know
Not that it is hidden
It’s right out there on show
It’s something that started with
A smile form someone new
My cold heart started beating
And deep inside it grew
She warms it with her love
She is sent from up above
She is my little angel
My baby girl I love

The little boy looked to his father,
"Daddy - what are these things for?"
"Those belong to your big brother,
now go put them behind his door!"
The little boy came again to his Daddy,
"So then where did these come from?"
"Now son, just be a good little laddie,
and go put those back on his drum!"
Face fully fallen, in obedience he's gone,
feet dragging through his fallen tears.
A silent whisper... "I wish I had mom!",
"cause mom, my questions always hears!"
Later that day after a few hours of play,
he came to his Daddy's knees again.
"Daddy, there's something I need you to say,
that mom used to say that made me grin."
"What was that from your mother you heard,
that you once again long to hear right now?"
Are you talking about any particular word,
or 'words' that I should say - and just how?"
The little boy didn't know just how to reply,
as grown up language for him was complex.
He just knew that his heart wanted to cry,
and his mothers words always make it relax.
He pondered his father's question with pain,
as he was searching for only a word or two.
And suddenly he looked at his daddy again,
"I know!" - "I need to hear "Son, I love you!"

About this poem:
Just thinking of the tenderness of a child's heart and how something so small to us, can be so BIG for them. Parents... don't miss the chance to tell your children how much you love them!

It’s like holding a Bundle of Joy
Not knowin’ if she’s really there
Or will despair
Be made clear
As the time draws near
This I fear
As I stare
At your captured image
That I live with
Hurt
Regret
And Pain
Love restrained
It feels strange
To hold what I can’t claim
Why must Life play these damn games?
Again I am stained
Another strain on my brain
Soul enflamed
My love is not tamed
But I must keep it at a distance
Like Hell from Christians
‘cause that pain I can’t live with
2 let it loose
And watch the Truth
Kill it
Then regret that I did it
Ain’t that a -------

Sixteen years of family crisis took it's toll on me,With no laughter,No love,I didn't know what a real family unit was meant to be,Searching.....Searching.....for answers though none came to me,My sanity was screaming,There ought to be a better place than here ! All i knew was tears, fear, and feelings of sadness,Listening to angry hearts year after year,Forever crying,Someone help me ! Hold me ! I need love !,So i prayed to the good lord above,I left home after sixteen years,What an almighty relief it was for me,I am free now !Yes free ! To search for my inner peace that i needed to restore my sanity and the day that i left was a whole new begining for me. Written by robyn bashford.....25.6.2001.....re edited...19.6.2011.....

Eyes bright, wide, alight
Round the Christmas tree
Mum, Dad, let us see
What Santa's brought for me
A fire truck with sirens loud
And a hat that goes with it
A fire chief I can be
And pretend in the truck I'm sitting
A helicopter black and shiny
High in the air I'll fly
Down below the people wave
As I go passing by
A submarine so I can dive
Deep below the sea
And watch the fish
Swim all around
But most of all
Please Mummy and Daddy
Let the new baby be
A boy for me to play with

May I pray this night while the stars are out.
May I close my eyes and see the beauty of heaven.
May I pray to the one I love...
who gave me life and created me..

two guys met way back and comprise
a duet of two, fondly able to show
true affection for other as a twin
these guys as you might surmise
are lifetime friends though
Younger's thick and Elder's thin
since Younger's days of undersize
Elder's maintained the status quo
that they weren't related kin
they sat for years as happy guys
on park bench, no desire to know
if their covering was familial skin
Younger seemed to scrutinize
his Elder from head to toe
to glimpse a deeper truth within
Elder's mind then thought it wise
for Younger's future peace, you know
to search old truth, their times begin
test the DNA facts that underlies
a connection beyond any John Doe
himself and Younger related within
result comes back the test supplies
that they're difference can forgo
no familial connection there had been
biologically different too often belies
the bonds that they themselves bestow
to each other as family though not kin
so they found themselves in the guise
of family unrelated, still family apropos
as blood or not, their faces all agrin

My mother's brother is my uncle
And my dad married my sister
My brother ran off with my mother
My niece hooked up with my nephew
And I'm totally confused
