North America Thanksgivings

Chatter of knives an forks on the plates turkey n ham harvests in now. Family's in chairs soft is the air gathering of thanks the only exchange. Purest of holidays all's to share's food an space. Pass the food back an forth's the only give an take, simple time we get commercialized an expectation free. Catching up with each other of days have passed by a time to rekindle re-fuel loved ones family an friends in your life. Thanksgiving's truly my favourite time a year~

My Daughter.....Faith

Another day, with my mind running so low
I feel this pain, from my head to my toe
I have no response, from the powers that be
I wish she could believe, in what she can see

I have not seen my princess, for over six months
My attitude has changed, the fear comes now in chunks
I regret my choices, but i was at a bad stage
I was out of control, each day was full of rage

But i have just got back, from a chat with her mummy
All i had in my mind, was my baby crying for her dummy
Everything out in the air, and she gave me a picture of faith
She looks so grown up now, i cant wait to see her beautiful face

I have made my mistakes, and paid each day and every night
But i have changed my in life, I want to hold her, hold her tight
I cant believe the outcome, she has agreed to let my play
With my little girl faith, starting this very Sunday

Faith i am sorry, for not being right and not always being with you
But i have battled everyday, and now i have finally broke to see you
I wont ever let you go, you mean so much to daddy you will see
But my hard work has paid off, with perseverance being key

Thank you

Thank you...
for giving me life
and making it worth living
for offering friendship
that unfeigned and everlasting

Thank you...
for bearing with me
throught thick and thin
for staying right beside me
throught every pain

Thank you...
for showing me things
I never knew
for offering me
a love so true

Thank you...
for touching my life
In such a peculiar way
for making me feel special
and as ahappy as can be

Thank you...
for opening my eyes
to see the truth beyond the lies
for opening my heart
to probe the deceit behind the smiles

For without you, I wouldn't be
the person I am today,

Thank you so much... Mom!!!

Run

Working here in my nine millionth job
I come closer to understanding it all

Walking through town today,
I see men I used to know
They belong here
I don’t

I have no mortgage, no kids
They have

Maybe I have balls, maybe I don’t
This time next year I’ll know

As Christmas approaches I say
next year’s gonna be my year
like all the others that weren’t

I leave behind the most beautiful woman I’ve ever known

With little more than survival money
and the wreck of a tragic split,
I bring regret and a kind of freedom
to new people

Domestica is a soul sucking poison

You’re cut out for it or you’re not

If you’re not, get out

Someone more suited to the job
will fill your shoes
in a heartbeat

~Splat~

Snowball hits the wall after flyin in curved air. Particulate snow follows it's course. Gloved three finger release in the throw, shoulder in hurt of the thrust of the throw. Ten finger pack of two hands full of snow, eyes on the target packin gloved smacks. Swoop hand in the drift in mind's target broad. Fifteen steps to the pile to get packin snow. As you sat in the chair whats to do tonight! Drag a bus a car an skid the heels on corners tight!

Never Judge A Book By Its Cover!

The female swan, she jumped straight up,
As her eggs all started breaking.
For the time had come for her eggs to hatch,
After all those weeks of waiting.

First three, then four, then five hatched open,
Now just one more left to go.
The sixth came out as black as soot,
whilst the rest we're white as snow.

They would tease him, and they would call him names,
He was outcasted, and left all alone.
Just because he was different from everyone else,
One day decided to run away from home.

As the weeks passed by, they felt like years,
Not a day passed by where he didnt cry.
No matter how many times he would think about it all,
He just could not understand why.

Then one day as he stepped up to the waters edge,
Sad faced and bearing a frown.
Came to him the biggest shock of his life,
From his reflection as he looked down.

For no longer was he black as soot,
But he was now as white as the driven snow.
For he had turned into the most handsomest swan,
You could ever wish to know.

Everyone stopped and stared when they saw this swan,
Walking so proud and full of glee.
For now everyone wanted to be his friend,
including his own family.

And from that day on he was never alone,
This duckling once abandoned by his brothers.
So the moral of this poem really goes to show,
Never judge a book by its covers.

Sleep deprieved

I wish I could sleep
my eyes open starring in the dark
listening to the noises and voices
now the telephone is ringing
shrill laughter is torturing my ears
someone turns the volume on the TV up
great, all I need is a headache
I close my eyes trying to transition
to a quiet, peaceful place
I pull my pillow over my head
I am so tired so tense so on edge
I toss and turn on my make shift bed
it feels like for hours and hours
Finally things seem to quiet down
My eyes closed my hands folded
I say a silent prayer
and slowly drift of to sleep

Road to Recovery

The road to recovery

As I looked into the eyes of my son today
I could see that he was in agony, pain and despair
He was loosing control of his mind and his soul
Drowning in Depression, loneliness, and fear

The demons had raised their ugly heads
In search of another victim
Their mission is to crush and destroy
So now the battle of the minds begin

I embrace you my son, with my love
Along with inner strength
As you travel on this next journey in life
Reach out to your higher power
Embrace with love all that has been offer

Believe in your self, Love your self for it is in loving
Yourself that will enable you to love other
Always believe in your higher power
Seek what you are looking for

Stand tall in the presence of fear
I wish you a full recovery
In addition, remember my son
Nothing in life is ever easy

Face the challenges of each day head on
Never look back
Live life One Day at a Time

Baby Girl

I shouldn't call you my baby girl
but that is what you are to me
with a strong head full of curl
you were wild as a tomboy should be

you were always curious about life
I taught you as best as I could
about people, love, and like
values, morals and respect
religion and riding a bike

I let you get away with a lot
too much trust I admit
hoping you would decide like you should
still knowing I couldn't count on it

I don't like the life that you're living
and I will tell you whenever we talk
just look around at what you are missing
clear your head girl go for a walk

now you don't answer my text nor my call
I have to let you grow up on your own
cannot be there to pick you up when you fall
I just hope you won't be alone

we all have to make our own mistakes
everything happens for a reason right?
life lessons learned whatever it takes
you need to fight your own fight

I wish I could hold and protect you
like I did when you were younger
you a big girl you know what I taught you
and when the time is right you'll remember
