the better side of me

i was not thier the day you were born
i never knew that you were concievied
when you finally came into my life
thier was mixed emotions
true indeed
i was living life at that time
day to day
waiting for my last breath
a ever ending search for god
an ever ending search for me
blessed to have you come into my life at the age of three
instantly i see your light

instantly i see me
god grants us blessings in mysterious ways
you my daughter is my blessing even on those crazy days
your going through your teen thing
your going through your teen phase

i finally know the meaning why parents love the ones they raise
through all the difficult times
through all the great days
thier is no stronger bond
than your child, the baby that you raised
you are now a young lady
whom i am very proud
still daddys little girl
and still daddys little pal

To my brother!

i have no words to thank you
for what you've done to me and my family.
i have no words to thank you enough
that's why i will need a life time
to show you my appreciation
to you and your wife.

i pray God every day that He
gave me such a brother and sister'n law
i pray every day for our family
'cause God gave us a gift:
love.

i love you brother and
i love your wife too.
for your big hearts,
your generousity
and for keeping our family
united.

i wish that
could be more brothers
like you in this world.

one wish

One wish (Kaycee)
My baby girl was born on the 98
And things was going ever so great
That day you opened my eyes to you
That was one wish that did came true

One wish is ill take everything back
One wish is to put our life back on track
One wish I do have is that I wish I was there for you
One wish that one day you will come back to me wish that could be true

There isn't a day that goes by where I think about you
Hoping that you are thinking about me to
God gave me special gift from within me
But my wish is that me and you as they say be?

If I had one wish that wish it will be that I get to see you again
I no you have a big birthday and I no u turn the big 10
If I had one wish and that will be that il give you my life for you
Knowning that your daddy loves you and that is true

I love you more that life its self and ill do anything for you
Just to see you smile its like the sky being blue
I wish I have you in my arm and holding you near my heart
When they took you away I cried and I felt so far apart

When they took you I cryed for you everyday
My love for you is stronger everyday that?s what I have to say
I wish I could take everything that went wrong that time
Wishing that one day you will be mine

Im sorry for everything that has happen to you
I hope you no that it hurts me so much and that?s true
You?re my baby girl and your so beautiful.
Daddy loves you and that?s me being truthful.

slow your roll

Life begins in an instant and ends in that same moment at the speed of light we have no time to fight for when the dust clears and the sun does rise it will all be seen through someone else´s eyes

A WEDDING BLESSING

Words cannot say,
On how we felt that day

The months are passing by,
Since we said our goodbyes

You went so sudden,
Two days before our daughter’s weddin'

The last words you said,
Was the wedding to go ahead

With this sudden take,
I had to take your place

As I walked our daughter down the aisle,
We held our heads up high

And hide our grief behind a smile
Knowing I had to put you on stand by

This was a lovely day;
But also, sad in a way

If I could turn back time,
Just for a little while;
For you to walk our daughter
Down that aisle

You are really missed.
What would we give,
For that last goodbye kiss...

So no words can say what we felt on that day.

Days Gone By........by Nevadalady01

i dream about the days gone by. when the children were young and bustling about.

the house was full of laughter and joy, the antics of my girl and my boy.

the house is quiet now, no laughter or joy and lots of wishes.
i dream of those days while doing the dishes......

now there is lonliness except for my dogs, who love me for me
what ever i do. they know when im sad, and they cuddle with me
and i love them to death that they can see.

i need a real person, to cuddle and hugg and i dream of that day
which seems so far away.

i hope i have time left to find the right one, who will want me and love me and make me feel safe.

all i have are my dreams now, and wishes too, i hope God gives me
enough time to find you.

and enjoy you, in all the ways that i should, that would be lovely, that would be good......

dont think im to picky, i just know what i want. i hope some day i find you, but that could be tricky.

til then i have my wishes and dreams.....sometimes i want to cry, just thinking of the days gone by...............

dont cry daddy

Today I stumbled from my bed
With thunder crashing in my head
My pillow still wet
From last night tears
And as I think of giving up
A voice inside my coffee-cup
Kept crying out
And ringing in my ears

Don't cry daddy
Daddy, please don't cry
Daddy, you've still got me and little Tommy
Together we'll find a brand new mommy
Daddy, daddy, please laugh again
Daddy ride us on your back again
Oh, daddy, please don't cry

Why are children always first
To feel the pain and hurt the worst
It's true, but somehow
It just don't seem right
'Cause ev'ry time I cry I know
It hurts my little children so
I wonder will it be the same tonight

Don't cry daddy
Daddy, please don't cry
Daddy, you've still got me and little Tommy
Together we'll find a brand new mommy
Daddy, daddy, please laugh again
Daddy ride us on your back again
Oh, daddy, please don't cry
Oh, daddy, please don't cry

Generations (07/07/07)

There is a big difference between generations.
Today, there is a very big difference.
The older ones like Doo-wop.
The younger ones like hip-hop.
The older listens to records
The young listens to CD’s and iPods
The older talks about the past
The younger talks about the future
Basically, there’s a difference in every generation.
But one thing is the same.
Our love for each other.
The older generations teach what they know to the younger generations.
As when they grow into the older, they’ll have the knowledge for the new young to learn.
Eventually, the older generation will die out.
All we need is love.
Love for all generations.

A "Nanna's" Thoughts...

Loving them means more to me
Than words could ever say,
They're the warming rays of sunshine
That welcomes each new day,

They're the singing of the swallow
That welcomes in the Spring,
Without them close beside me
Life just wouldn't mean a thing,

They're as gentle as a summer breeze
Upon the morning mist,
As fragrant as the morning dew
By which each rose is kissed,

When all around is darkness
They brighten up my life,
Brighter than the brightest star
That lights the sky at night,

They're locked forever in my heart
I've thrown away the key,
There could never be another love
As great as them and me......

From Dad With Love

You can make mistakes and still be OK.
Everyone has made mistakes.
Most of them survive.
Not everyone learns from them, though.
Learn from your mistakes.

You deserve good things to happen to you.
The only people who don`t get good things,
are those who don`t think they deserve them,
and therefore don`t let good things happen to them.

It`s good to have goals, but sometimes
they seem so far away.
When that happens, break them up into smaller steps
and stay focused on what you want.
Keep going, one step at a time.

Our fears can`t happen,
unless they get a lot of help from us.

It`s your responsibility,
but it`s not your fault.

The best thing people can tell us about
ourselves, sometimes, is the truth.
Just make sure they are telling you the truth
for your sake, because they care, and not just
because they`re dumping their
anger, or frustration, or unhappiness on you.

The best way to make friends is to tell them
good, positive things about themselves.
But make it real, and true, and not empty flattery.

When you`re not sure what to do, ask
yourself, what would your Dad do?
It might not be the best idea,
right for you, or the solution you ultimately
choose. But it`s a good place to start.

You must feel the joy of life,
just as much as the pain.
Life is about both of these things.

And remember, no matter what happens,
there is at least one person in this world
who loves you no matter what.

About this poem:
This actually my father wrote for me when I moved to La Crosse. He wanted me to have me words of encouragement so I`d keep my head held high. Of course, a lot of bad things happened there but I did experience those things at least and kept on living. Thanks dad. I`ve kept these words close. Hopefully these words can help all of you too.
