The Beat Of Life Goes On

Mom got up early and is in the kitchen
Preparing the breakfast for everyone
Dad's still in the bathroom and is shaving
And the beat of life goes on

The kids are busy getting set for school
One is still trying to get homework done
The others are taking things really cool
And the beat of life goes on

Now all sit around the breakfast table
To fuel themselves for the day's action
Each consumes what he or she is able
And the beat of life goes on

Dad leaves the home for his workplace early
Mom patiently checks the kids one by one
To ensure that for school each is ready
And the beat of life goes on

Dad is at work earning his salary
Kids are at school getting education
Mom is at home with some chores she's busy
And the beat of life goes on

It's suppertime now for the family
And it's filled with lively conversation
Each one partakes of the meal heartily
And the beat of life goes on

After supper, mom tidies the kitchen
Then joins the rest watching television
Later, for next day each starts preparing
And the beat of life goes on

The kids get busy with their assignment
Mom and Dad continue to linger on
They chat a bit about now the day went
And the beat of life goes on

Then finally they all head off to bed
For much needed sleep and relaxation
To refresh each for the new day ahead
And the beat of life goes on

Mom got up early and is in the kitchen
Preparing the breakfast for everyone
Dad's still in the bathroom and is shaving
And the beat of life goes on

we all have only one

Only 2 months did this gap get deeper,
The Inevitability came as I watched
To think about it, the voyage got steeper
Forgiveness now I want but in life I botched

They say I look like him
My mannerisms, my look, my logic, my whim
To place me on that pedestal ,
To place me there, a mockery, a sin

Precious Life

"Precious Life "

I've tried solving mathematical equations
but they all failed my hearts design
I then searched for absolution
but all I lost was time
I turned over every rock
and all I found was hurt
I then looked up to the stars
to find my place on earth
But no matter where I was
God was always near
He took me by my hand
and led me far away from fear
He brought me perfect a peace
when I didn't know what to do
Then He gave me precious life
and said that I love you

About this poem:
A daughter is one of the most beautiful gifts this world has to give. I have two and for that I give all honor to God and life to them

Honor your daughters. They are honorable.

SCARECROWS

Hi I am a scarecrow
I have been here for decades
Standing upright under sun
And without umbrella in heavy rain.

I work hard from dusk to dawn
They made me ugly as possible
So that every one can laugh at me
Then also I just smile at them.

At night I am free to move
As no crows will come to eat the grains
But I stand there in the cold
Guarding the land of my master.

Once I was young and handsome
The best scarecrow ever here been
Now I am old and uglier than ever
And no one looks at me nowadays.

One day I surely will die
My legs are almost eaten up
One day I will fall down
And will become a part of soil.

But I don’t know why
Why,I want to live some more
In this world of crazy humans
Where no one likes me now.

As I told you some time before
Once I was young and handsome
That time crows were scared of me
Now,even they are laughing at me.

Momma

Momma it's your son I'm doing this once again. I'm trying to make a visit through my paper in my pen. The pen has to relay the words that I say. And the paper has to listen it can't turn and walk away. I hope you find some comfort in these words that I write. Maybe ease your mind and help you sleep through the night. These four walls hold me hostage like a dog guarding the bone. I'm on a lonely road trying to find my way back home. I know that I'm the reason you're sitting in that chair. And i claim all the stress that causes your silver hair. I wish I was there mama to show you that I care mama. The pain is in my heart I feel a change I swear mama. It's a struggle in this life that I chose for myself. But hustling is all I know it's a little taste of hell. When I'm doing what I do I don't think about your tears. When I'm locked inside these fences I try not to think about the years. What can I do when the streets is all I know. But stumble hit the ground get up and put on some more. I'm not naïve or death and I can hear the people scream. Get a job mother f**ker I wish they could step inside my dream. Take a little time to see the world through my eyes. Picture Perfect passion in these tears that I cry. Just tell me why I swear I try but a job is not in my reach it's all the little lie. You did the best you could you tried to raise me right. My childhood was good I wish I was your pride. But how can you be proud I'm in the penitentiary. When you think your thoughts do they ever think to mention me. It's a dirty little game, it's driving me insane mama. I'm down on my knees and I'm praying for a change mama. I can't do this anymore mama I don't even know the score mama. If you talk to God tonight tell him my spirits bruised and sore mama. My heart is waxing cold and my face is growing old. Tell him that I'm praying that he comes and saves my soul. You taught me to keep it real so I'll tell you how I feel. Once I touch the streets it's a different deal. I'm going to lay the hustle down and try to keep my head held high. Walking different way spread my wings and fly. Back when I was young and we struggled to survive. Living week-to-week scratching to get by. You taught me to be a man to take my own head. Take responsibility and that's the realest shit. You didn't raise a thug mama I fell victim to the drugs mama. The thing that pulled me through is the essence of your love Mama. So when you lay your head down at the end of every night. I know that I'm still trying and it's all going to be alright. One day I hope you see a different man in me. I hope that my mistakes don't Define who I long to be. I may not be free but to a certain degree. I'd rather die on my feet than live my life on my knees. Tell God I know I'm the victim of my stones. A coward dies a thousand deaths but a man dies but once.

My Mom Is An Angel

My mom means the world to me and now she's very ill and is only allowed visits of two per family. She has not had an easy life. Became a widow twice after being a devoted wife. Her baby's she made the extreme decision to give away. There was no money to eat or toys for them to play.

Still she stays strong and has been an Angel to everyone she meets. She'll even invite you in to eat. She takes care of people everywhere. It is not only me, anyone will tell you she's an Angel a Blessing to her church community.

Now, my Mom, my Angel is very ill. In the hospital with her heart. It can't be true. Without my Angel I wouldn't know what to do. There is fluid in her lungs and heart. Her health is declining and I can't make it if we depart.

She has done so much to make the world a better place. She even has an Angel's face. Please, Keep my Mom in your thoughts and prayers. She's ready, but I'm not ready for her to meet the man upstairs.

unforgiven

If a word was the world entire, the boy's word would be conflict..

assaulted by twin pincers, he had his first fight whilst still attached to a woman he would never know..

the boy was awkward..his shape wasn't uniform..his skull had been subject to untrained midwifery...and the price was two scars that scared people..

manhood found the boy years before his age..he became broad from farm work and blended into the changing landscapes of the seasons.

he was not part of nature as such..rather..he was of nature..he bonded with the Earth and at the site of the bonds..he was more than the sum of his parts

he thought himself to tell time by the pitch of birdsong

knew how to breach the skin of the Earth by the call of the curlew

by 21 he was fully formed..as broad as wide..and a pair of hands the fit no store bought glove

his was the strength of hard living..stews and raw milk

of not running from the emptiness of dawn's letter..of standing in the pain and living in it

he found that fleeing a horror only qualified it anew..so he took all pain..let it grow in the bone.. and fruit in experience

never weeding or pruning ..Instead he accepted it..and let it alone

his size preloaded opinion..

heavily bearded now..with a neck hidden by its own development

those who misjudged his good nature for timid reckoning

paid with a life altering sum

What becomes.........

What becomes of the child
Left behind with his smile
A victim of separation and pain
Will their words be worthwhile
As he walks the long mile
Searching for reason and sane
Will he share what he knows
As his angry feeling grows
Or will he wait for it to rain
Could he be more lonely and lost
Is it really worth the cost
The price of happiness to gain
Are their words rich with love
Blessed by the one above
Or is it all just a game
This could be the turning point
If his life is out of joint
How will he be able to tame
The anger that he feels
His resentment reveals
What is it ......he is to gain...........

About this poem:
I understand people will seperate for obvious reasons what I don't understand why the fallout of that separation has to be loaded onto the kids .............don't they have to be the priority here ?

What else ..........

Just be you
That's all you need to do
Step out of your hue
And just be you

Some will want to know
Some will want to go
Only you will grow
If you reap what you sew

Never worry what may be
Life's too short not too see
You are your own identity
Be proud of that don't flee

Don't bother with the past
Look ahead to outlast
All shadows that may be cast
Set your sail at full mast

Just be you
That's all you need to do
Step out of your hue
And just be you ............

Best feeling in the world

Love is the thing that keeps you up all......

Night because you would rather talk to that person than sleep....
