Silence Molds Clouds All Day

Silent shadows
running thru everglades,
Silence molds clouds
all-day

Silent moonlight
bouncing thru cypress trees,
Silence swings low thru
the gate

Yet
when my heart
is with you
its shield breaks
oh Lord how it breaks
in the most
tender way.

Silent snowflake
falling like a dancing ghost
Silence two steps across
the lake

Silent stones
cobble no thoughts,
Silence gives my heart
away

Oh! My Cripled Soul

Oh, My Crippled Soul!
Abandoning the thought of love is like a pitchfork that pierced a heart that didn't bleed
That which became my enemy was twice as bad
I smile crookedly at life, unapologetic if I am scared and scorned
Oh, my crippled soul!
Life is a cruel defense of love devastated by fantasy and ill will
Why does one love...is it not a miracle cure?
The soul cries out but has learned to hide the glaring darkness of misery and pain
Anger is the enemy, indifference is worse so widely known and celebrated by many
Suffering privately in silence looking for a sign or anything to be gained, just see me
Oh, my crippled soul!
Sassing through life is no reason to shout, it feels defenseless and so narrowly contained no one is celebrating.
There are no harmonies fashioned by time, just the same cold play playing for a different audience.
Piles and piles of life's junk heaped upon us just waiting to be discarded but it can no longer be ignored.
Oh, my crippled soul!
How did we learn to survive this unplumbed plight, is it leftover indignities handed down from generation to generation?
We quiver with fear in the hallows of surrender yet we can't cry out, who is there to listen or wipe away my tears?
Can fleeing save us; or deepen the blow, where can we go when the whole world is watching, no one is willing to save us not even YOU?
Oh, my crippled soul!

The wish

The feeling
Familiar

Our life
Part of us

This can’t be

Break free
A man I am, inner me

Ultimately foresee
In him I seek closure from tyranny

Louder than before
Standing tall no more

Words fall
Hear whisper call

Senses

Over under everywhere
The sense of peace suds bubbles gives liquid care
Invisible body feeling it there

From thin air
Undeniable mist feeds memory generations prepare
Helpless encouraged full figure seconds plenty to share

Infecting soft smiles turning forced duty
Together unbound the harmony tone found acutely
A moment of silent burying life troubles in mutiny

Seeing familiar faces reading each hair
Understanding every stare
Build connection we bare a split second to share

Happy a force shields a cause
In shame a lasting stain covered by gauze
Hide face teardrops forge remorse

Life underground a meaning unwound
Ending my lessons in time echo found
Knowing never owning flowing to rest safely sound

Turning the ash

In the absence of your love
rigid fortune given its due
for now we lack the mettle
to slip the prow
into the citrus night
the vessel no longer sure
of its destination
and plagued with weakness
as time would have it

I recall a time
when the bedpost rang
and fresh were the garlands
in the morning spirit
and lifting with the dew
we would walk the bay
'til the light
played out
and the evening
would have us
no more

Yet let us not swallow defeat
my love
tied as it always will be
as a shadow
turn the ash
turn until
the stem is fresh
reaching upward
ready to embrace
new summer song

The Many Shades Of Love.

So varied are the hues of poetic pen,
With a multitude of exploding coloured ink,
In endless shades to choose from now, and then,
To set the writing mood, into which we sink.

Should I decide upon a nature write,
I must select just one of many greens,
To paint a woodland oil, in verse tonight,
Of lush green branches shading flowered scenes.

Humorous poems are best presented yellow,
The verses to be sunny, smiling bright,
This Irish poet not e'er a dour fellow,
To try extract a laugh from you, he might.

To pen dark verse, one must use darkest black,
Printed on a page of sombre grey,
The mood is set, no chance of stepping back,
The reader with sad tears, may have to pay.

Poems to my Love, are always delicate pink,
Verse from the heart, her eye to see words beat,
Fond lines penned madly now in perfumed ink,
Extracted from rose petals, for a treat.

Erotic verse scribed in pulsating red,
Throbbing, bulging blood to end in balm,
My pen grows hotter with every word that's said,
Eventually burns to flames within my palm.

Finally if you poets e'er grace my home,
Feel free to take a seat, and ease your pains,
Relax at my bureau and pen a poem,
For it's ink not blood that flows inside our veins !

Mixed up thoughts

Mix your thoughts
All jumbled up
Life's body grows from seed to dust
From youth to adults we gather are thoughts
Who are we why we here where we going we do not know
On are sole journey
Full of life highs and lows
We battle are thoughts
Are dreams are thoughts
On are journey are independent life

America

Even in the best of times
Not much goes unnoticed
Except perhaps what will come
Reminds us where we’re rooted
As children we all will grow
No attempt to the unknown
I’m into family and success
As far as the seed is thrown
What suites you I wish you best
Whatever you want to recover
We are the best and damn the rest
To a future we hope rediscover
Our next of kin shall begin
Our moment of discovery
When peaceful demonstrations
Don't fade away and away
Or lead us astray in any way
From all we call contenders
We reach up with a hand that’s fast
For freedom that lasts and lasts
What we are fighting for
I rest my case and still adore
A country named..... America

NEW LIFE

Embedded image from another site

After long winter’s darkness and fear
Snowdrops under the snow appear
Gradually cold white melting away
Everything appearing in brown and gray

Sunshine and gentle warm rain
Signs of new hope after winter’s strain
Baby animals all over the place
And beautiful blooms showing their face

Year after year new life reappears
From the old life from the past year
Popping their heads up to regrow
The colors of the promised rainbow

We too are promised a new life ahead
When our old body enters winter dead
We will be reborn in the spring
For a new life with the King of Kings

this time

This time
I'm gonna make you feel so right
Gonna hold you more than tight
I won't let you out ma sight
This time
I'll never make you feel blue
With every waking moment you'll know this Love is true
This time
When I look into your eyes
Crystal clear you'll see no lies
Love expanding n stretching beyond the skies
This time
Though it may seem lika dream
The way I treat you lika queen
We've been n seen the lean n mean & now I'm keen to make a change of scene
This time
Like poetry we will rhyme
In song n dance we'll effortlessly shine
This time
Just
Trust
No lust
No fuss
You n me it's us
This time
Our energies Intertwine n combine
Something like Divine
This time
Nothing will stop our shine
