At a time of caring, remember those
Who struggle with basics, that pose
Problems of survival, day after day
For treats and luxuries, unable to pay
Their hope is to be, warm and fed
Unseen problem, cause worry-dread
If it happens often, they go to ground
Rarely help is offered, no joy is found
For some it's constant, as daily life sends
A constant survival battle, without a friend
To share the bad times, when they need support
Not always Simple Joys, can with money be bought

Sit no longer on high pedestal
you once thought you were
No longer idols or instructor
Nor wanted as provider or protector
Betrayed by hubris that blinds you
brutality retribution oppression
Your words of respect and Duty
replaced by venomous false accusations
Play with malevolent resentment
In a game of political chess
Veiled in duplicity and lies
Your motives are all now suspect

About this poem:
Another poem/Song from the Quill of my D&D alter Ego Allwyn Marcher
This one is an attack on an Order of holy of knights who abandon the Vows they made in order to gain political power,
The time Allwyn wrote this and started to "perform" it on the streets of Cordor This order was attacking and killing any who dared speak out against their crimes, On the basis of Were the good guy so if you don't support us you must be the bad guys
It was a Fun time Role Playing an annoying Bard

Thoughts get lost, in a sky of navy blue
One searches with care, seeking a clue
As stars twinkle, so bright and so high
In depth and beauty, of a night time sky
Escaping thoughts fly, as small shiny lights
Reflecting on still waters, as flashes of white
Waves crash and creep, upon a silent shore
Vacuum felt in a moonless night, chilly and raw
Dark clouds travel with great haste, eager to go
Out of sight and reach, as if escaping hidden foe
Allowing the moon's glow and presence, to be seen
Night can then finally be mystic, silent and serene ......

Sky pierced by stars
The game of connecting dots
Constellations twinkle
The last bird singing
In the chorus at sunrise
Singing from his heart
The portrait wanted
To move outside the frame
Something new to try
Wrapped in quilt of dreams
From the fog of sub-conscience
Words precipitate
Waves wash away my steps
A blanc page to start over
Leaves swayed by the breeze
The lost outsider
Bumped into the world’s problems
Bruises and scratches

Travelling a lonely road
my mandolin beside me,
This bleak steep winding pathway,
to the top of a hill
My thoughts so bright so clear today,
I hope they last forever.
Warriors escort me to horizons,
I was always waiting for.
No matter where they lead me,
I will be ready to be there.
The rocky path is cold and dark,
blue sky turning grey.
But today I wont stumble,
just climb up to the distant stars.
My knowing mandolin just plays
every story that I lived.
I feel so free on this hill.
Wonder what the reason is?
Lightening strikes within me,
but still I feel no wounds.
I feel this is a reckless dream,
and It wont ever let me go.
Soaring as fast as possible,
take me there before the dawn
The smoke is all around me,
the road has left time far behind.
The sky black and unseen.
the air hot and dry.
Waiting for rain drumming,
on ground I can’t remember
All I knew now somewhere else,
All to it's end will come.
Despite the bloody weather
road so full of broken bones
ever closer to my goal,
never knowing what's ahead
I reach the top the hard way.
glance restfully behind the hill,
To see a haunting thought of mine,
in the middle of my head.
I am so free on this hill.
Knowing what the reason was
That lightening struck within me,
not leaving any wounds
I know this is my reckless dream,
but I wont ever let it go.
Soaring as fast as possible
I'll be there before dawn

Cordor what will you do when winds blow bitter cold,
When your children are dying in the streets?
Do you turn blind eye?
Will you walk on by?
Past mothers of dead babies as they grieve and they weep.
Oh Cordor,
This is my song for you
Oh tell me Cordor
What are you gonna do?
Cordor what will you do if I tell you,
you grind poor people into meat?
If the truth be told,
I see lots of gold,
But I still see people dying cos they cant afford to eat
Oh Cordor,
you know what I sing is true.
Oh please Cordor,
Tell me what you're gonna do
Cordor make new plans to lend helping hands
Or it will be your utter ruin and defeat
I foresee a day
when there's barricades,
And the blood of the innocent will flow around your feet
Oh Cordor
Do what ever you can do
Save yourself Cordor
Dont let my words come true

In one D&D setting I play a Character that is a Bard
He writes and sings about the social evils he see's in an attempt to make the powers that be open their eyes to the suffering of the common folk of the city
So this song is really by by Allwyn Marcher
When he first performed on the Streets of Cordor, it got him beaten thrown out of a city by the city guards.

There's nothing like a swirling sea
Rough-energetic, turmoil to see
Wind adds drama, to coastal scene
Far across the harbour, cool green
Shoreline to hills, a natural frame
Contrasting scene, vibrant not tame
Swooping seabirds, haunting eerie sound
Feeling of being isolated, on rocky ground
Noisy moments pass, in erratic rush
Swamped by sea-spray, soak not crush
Nature enhanced, negative turmoil
Released thoughts, mind uncoils
In time nature can heal, once again
Splatter of spray, releases pain
To carefully walk, away in peace
Mixed emotions fade, as trauma cease......
Nature a healer, after exposure to sea
Watching movement, as wind blows free
Rough raw beauty, nature acts as host
As evening closes in, grey becomes a ghost

A clock ticks, recording time never to return
Disappearing for ever, like photos that burn
Was time wasted, or are memories retained
Brining smiles, not tears representing rain
I recall as a child, everyone seemed old
In youth I was shy, not strong and bold
In Maturity I'm more confident, in control
Still feeling youthful, certainly never dull
Attitude is ours, to nurture and own
Comes with experience, of seeds sown
With many life options, we must decide
Hopefully we asked, for the wise to guide
Final choices are ours... it just has to be
Never blame others, into the future see
Being brave at times, can make us strong
As admitting in hindsight, if we was wrong
Learning from mistakes, acceptable in life
Whether good or bad, can lead to strife
Character building, inner strength can grow
Good people are important, you'll by now know
Some you can trust, others you must not
Never regret the process, join every dot
Those who make you sad, will pull you down
Remember smiles are important, not a frown
So as you mature, there are experiences leant
Emotional bridges, can so easily be burnt
Find what makes you happy, enjoy each day
Age isn't so bad, pick choices wisely ...
or health will pay.

You realize suddenly, happiness is really yours
Your journey through life.... once a mix of chores
Whatever happened, you dig deep to learn why now?
Does it really really matter, or can you asked how.....
Every step taken, towards your working goal
Searching the moment, needing to feel whole
Until suddenly, you sense as spirit uplifted
Inner glow wraps you tight, emotionally gifted
Answer for me and others...following a dream
Along the way, meeting some who act mean
But those who truly care, need to be prepared
For crossroads, where those who truly cared
Hovered...aware the world is both good and bad
Better to smile, aim to never look unhappy-sad
As around every corner, good and hope is waiting
Life is a blank canvas, we the artist of life's painting
You're allowed to make mistakes, just learn as you go
Every day select a path, and pick the seeds to sow
Seeds need to be guided, make them healthy-strong
Hope each morning, makes you eager to paint and carry on.......

I walked a long the weary lane,Of Browning trees as Autumn came.Alone with my dog and black thorn stick, In a nearby field where rabbits sit. They danced and played in the Autumn leaves, That fell like snowflakes from the trees. A burst of speed and a violent roar, And rabbits sit and play no more. A tall pine tree the wind brought down , to lay in contrast with the brown. But the brown again will turn to green, Where Autumn leaves so brown have been.
