My Pirate Queen

A lonely voyage
with direction lost
when out of the fog
she appeared

Stranded in deep waters
when into my path
she steered

She captured my vessel
taking me aboard where
she fed me her stolen
delights

Now with my Pirate Queen
I'm sailing the seas..
we vanish into
the night..

The Abyss..of Desire

Take a journey
to the heart
of desire

Into the abyss
of passions
fire

Through waves and
waves of liquid
love

Steaming up daydreams
miles above

Through swirling
currents
of uncharted
regions

Your soul is
snatched by
passions legions

Through a web of
cracks does
reason seep

Violently
tossed in this
breathless deep

This eternal fire
is ever burning..

This Heart of Desire
is ever Yearning..

Humility Before Honor

Embedded image from another site

Lord,
I come to You thirsty for Your Mercy and Grace,
Tormented and humbled, naked and ashamed.
Just a man stripped of his armor and all of his pride,
But I always knew I stood as a child in Your eyes.
I will not ask for Your forgiveness ever again,
For I know that He has already died for my sins.
I took You for granted and sought to do this on my own,
But Lord I now see I can't do this on alone.
The more my directions led me further away from Your light,
The more I felt empty from this raging sea thats inside.
I am asking for shelter and peace to make the seas calm,
My punishments well deservered, but I know that it had to be done.
Humility before Honor brings me back to that place,
The beginning of Hope to see Your perfect face.
Please give me my wings for just a moment of flight,
Im no longer the weak one whose spirit cowards from fight.
Lead my footsteps to Wisdom, but let my heart become free,
Forever Your son and like Him I will be.

2012.. It's Apocalyptic!!

Sorry children, but it's all true..
On December 15,2012 it's all going
down..
At 7:00am. when you walk out to your
front porch to pick up the morning
paper in your slippers the sky will
be an errie red..
You won't think to much of it til you
hear strange sounds getting louder from
beyond the hill..
You shut your door and peer through the
keyhole and you can make out strange
creatures bounding accross the fields..
Hundreds of them..no..thousands..
In a minute you can make out the forms
charging like lighting..
They are vicious hounds from hell with
red eyes and dripping saliva blood..
Suddenly, a clap of thunder shakes the
earth and lighting splits your neighbors
house in two..
You notice that a few of your neighbors
have begun to drag the streets like zombies
and their eyes have been burnt out of their
heads..
You run to the phone to call your husband at
work but the line is dead..and so is he.
Meteorites begin pounding the earth and hail
stones weighing 700 pounds are crushing
buildings like match boxes..
The earth has shifted off it's axis and the sun's
radiation is burning all plant life like tinder..
The moon has cracked apart and the stars are exploding in violent colors
People are coming up out of their graves and trying
to sell you a life insurance policy with low premiums..
You watch the weather man on TV turn into some green
slime and then pop like a bubble..
Your bottom lip begin to drip down on your big toe
and you notice that the cat has run off with your
breasts..The mailman knocks on your door and when you
answer he's nothing but a skull with snakes running
through his eye sockets
You vomit in his face and he thanks you..but still delivers
the mail..
Soon the hounds of hell are tearing your house apart
and their salva is an acid burning holes though the sidwalk..
Vultures with hellish screeches and wings seventy feet wide
begin snatching up bedazed towns people and soaring them up
into clouds of fiery ash
More mutants rise from the dead and grow wings
Flying at sonic speeds..
You begin to feel your body change into deaths
breakfast
You have become super strong and you run down the street
and rip the neighborhood bully's head off just for kicks..
The earth splits in half and you ride into deep space on what was left of your peaceful habitat
The world is now only 300 feet wide and a confused duck along with your mother-in-law blazes into the
eternal night
The moon? Gone.
Your new lawn mower? Zip
The hot chick chick you were
dating? She's history.
Welcome to 2012!

Dead Inside

Today is the day I acknowledge my own defeat
My struggle within has come to a hault as I finally see
That a world so beautiful has its shades of gray
And if you let it, it'll rip your soul til nothing else remains
I have loved blindly and I have hidden behind my walls
I have held my head up high only to watch myself fall
The truth is out there but is hidden behind so many lies
It's like a hideous demon thats wearing a charming disguise
I sit here juggling and weighing the worth of my life
How can I continue to open up my heart when I feel dead inside
Maybe I should just close my eyes and let it fade away
But the pain never truly heals, it's here to stay
So many mistakes, so many things I'd take back
Wish I could go back in time to stop my heart from turning black
There will always be a struggle within, always be a thorn in my side
How can I continue to live when I feel dead inside

My ideal woman

Well.. she's neither here nor
there I guess, but she could
be..
I mean..well..that could be a
good quality!
I'm fixin' the car and she's
doing this thing with her
lipstick
Her lipstick melts on my new
white shirt but do I get angry?
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Why? Because her smirky little
grin got me all buttered up
A push over you say?
Mabey..
We drive to the beach..
We frolic in the sand like
fools
I rip off my shirt Hulk Hogan
style
It fails to make an impression
on the local beach bums
But I don't care because I have
my lil' yellow rubber duck
It's just me, the girl, and
this crazy duck
Have I been drinking?
Of course not!
I was born this way
Surely you must be thinking,
'This guy took a wrong turn,
mabey when he was nine or
something..'
All theories shall be reviewed..
But the real kicker is that this
chick actually likes me green
socks and all..
My ideal woman!

Dilemma Lemon

I got something you want to read
You got something you want to say
But you can't say a thing cause you don't write

Now aint that a dilemma lemon
So here is another line
Won't you take another bite

Detectives are everywhere but poetry is not a crime
Are you mad because my hair won't completely disappear
No it's stuck at just looking fine

I think I'll take a stroll a little walk
Enjoy the scenery along the way tote an umbrella in case of rain
I won't complain and when it's a sunny day you can fly a kite

Now aint that a dilemma lemon
So here is another line
Won't you take another bite

A Lover's Prayer

In a strange and far off land
Two lovers met in a small world
He took her heart and she his hand
Somethings were meant to stay untold.

The secret of two lover's hearts
Intertwined in sacred bliss
Surpass in mind the deepest art
What words can't say are in a kiss.

So let us banish those sad feelings
And longing for that far off land
At least while we can hold each other
With vows that are not "traced in sand".

If only did I know...

If only did I know I had just week
Before death holds me in its cold embrace,
Before the black palette of the Beyond
Paints mourning funeral colors.
I would embrace then worldly sun
And let it burn itself, burn up,
I’d open breast of mine wide to the rain
That would be pouring down on me for this last time!
I would then call on motherland’s all sites,
Press me against King David's grave,
See for last time high towers of the Svans
Now crumbling, almost falling to the ground…
I would then climb on bold cliffs on all fours
And kiss the land, feel fragrance of the soil…
It’s as it seems the only time
When the Eternal I would ever feel.
How could I ever leave this place
Without a child that has been torn off breast,
I would go see Abkhazia, dear land, and
In the thoughts I’d thwart the foes’ attacks.
Back to the capital then I would make my way
And feel the breath of old town once again,
I’d kiss its walls, such spots, in which
No soul would even wish to live…
I would then gaily stroll the streets,
Little hands I would be seeing stretched to me,
I would then take them into mine and say:
“I will protect you against killers, evil spell”.
How would I act, if I had only three days left?
Pay visits to the hearths of all loved ones,
Fondle them, embrace, and open heart,
Repent for all the wrong I’ve ever done,
Beg to forgive for whatever I’ve said,
For what I’ve failed to say, for being what I am:
“If I did something wrong, I didn’t mean offense,
There’s never been such thing as sinless man...”
Should our Lord so gracious me permit
Each poem that I’d write would be a gift to each,
A fragment there would be of force I feel,
That has embraced my heart for all the years I lived.
Much feeling, sympathy, a warmth, caress,
There’s nothing else that I could offer, friends.
The part of soul that has survived the death
Is what we value all, regard as best.
And then exactly one day prior to the death
I’d go to place where Lord our dwells,
And take communion… then of my life repent
In no more than two simple phrase.
And in the evening when I am back home
A sadness would take grip on me and hold,
Then I would wish I had in store more days,
If such predicament as this I overcame.
For my dream’s nothing more than a name,
Deeds of honor salvation to gain!
I would hate being dead in a way
That of wishes mere dreams have remained…
I would wish that my Lord should tomorrow
Send salvation Messiah to me…
So that I should fulfill debt of honor
And then die in a way us befits.
Then I wouldn’t feel much regret,
Only pain would then silently flash
When confronted with death’s evil eyes
When the silence absorbs soul of mine.

About this poem:
In response to the challenge posed several weeks ago. This poem written by a modern Georgian poetess popped up in a recently published almanac. It was such a perfect fit to the challenge that I couldn’t resist temptation to translate it for this occasion. The lady poetess did what I was supposed to do – she did my thinking while I tried my best to translate her poem as close to the original as I could.

Hardened Heart

What words does a poet
Lay down on paper when
All feelings of desiring love,
Have dwindled to nothing?

When all passion within the heart
Vanishes replaced by voids, hollowness,
And bitterness?
When the wounds have healed,
But the heart will not soften
To allow new love?

When love's soft welcomed touch is
No longer; and hatred dominates
Peaceful thoughts to the point
Of wanting to bear arms to
Keep a hardened heart safe from the
Knifes edge, called Love?

When anger stirs so violently
The mind wants explode from
Within the confines of it's
Skeletal prison;
The heart so cold, dead,
That the soul screams to no ears;
Soften heart, be of stone no more!
Allow love to enter, shield
Youself NO MORE!

Violetly falling to
Knees screaming, cursing the
Foundation the walls were
Built for! Hating the lost love
For the toll it is now taken!

To have the loneliness overcome
By simple love, new and
Welcomed; But the heart screams NO!
Heart, why are you still punishing me?
Why won't the barriers fall?

Tears shed now, not for love
Lost, but for not being
Able to love!
What words to poets lay
On paper, when passion dies?
