EMPTY SPACE

In my life lots of empty space
Forever missing that loving face
Empty spaces for the last seven years
Making for lots and lots of tears

In the car with an empty passenger seat
Always makes me want to weep
Looking at empty dining room chair
No longer seem able to eat there

Big piece missing in my heart
Memories seem never too far
Going everywhere all alone
Then returning to an empty home

Il est midi

- Quelle heure est-il ?
- Il est midi
- Qui te l'a dit ?
- la petite souris
- Où donc est-elle ?
- Dans la chapelle
- Qu'y fait-elle ?
- De la dentelle
- Pour qui ?
- Pour une demoiselle
- Pour quelle?
- Pour la plus belle
- Et qui est la plus belle?
- C´ést toi la plus belle

My Dear Son

My dear son,
My life, my love, my sun!

I cried with joy
The day when you was born

I work alot
For you to have your wants

I don't sleep
When you are getting sick
I don't blame you
When you'r being weak

I bring you food
Protect you from the world
I hold your hand
And you are getting strong

I stop my dreams
I sacrifice my life
For you
To have me near by your side

A Bridge To You..

If I could build
a bridge to your
very heart

This is the
day I'd choose
to start

I'd build it high
above your ocean
of pain

With pillars of
steel against
the rain

I'll battle the
wind, the waves,
and the sea

If that's what
it takes for us
to be

I'll labor hard
both day and
night

Until at last
you're in my
sight

You'll pay no
toll to cross
this bridge

My love to you
I freely give~

True Beauty

Behold, for I had gazed on real true beauty
I had seen it with the dawn of inner sight
My minds soaring wingless flight
So deep, yet shone in the darkest of night

I look far beyond the protective thin layer
That captures many, like Satan’s slayer
Its depth cannot hide, like Icebergs flow
Not cold, like winters iced frozen snow

It radiated out every pore of ones being
All knowing and forever all seeing
It shines so brightly in compassioned eyes
Not concealed in false clothing wearing the Devils disguise

It has no need of self perceived vanity
It does not sap you, nor bleed your sanity
No cloak of deceit for it to wear
It lays its soul out to you, open, bare

If you do not see then surely you are blind
Your life spent in torment of the shallow kind
Seek far beneath that ageing outer shell
Your heart will not lie, it can always tell

Bumblebee Wine

Up here in northern Appalachia Mountains
Us country folk live life to our own tempo
every morning in spring when dew’s a’glistenin’
You can hear old timers talk their native lingo
You need pay attention to anybody be listenin’
When a buzzing by the apples blossoms in the hollow
Sends the whole town scurrying and out in a smidgin
The excitement picks up like a flight of swallows
Cause it’s time for townsfolk to head to the motion
Of many large buzzing bees to find and follow
With old canning jars position over the commotion
And capture thousands at a time in flowered meadows
And back to the kitchen to prepare a strong potion
Loaded with sweet nectar to make what nature bestows
Into that sweet and delicious…. "Bumblebee Wine"

I will always love you

Somehow I always knew
That falling for you
Spelled calamity and disaster
Like a placid lake
So serene and inviting
Just what I needed
To cool me down
I folded my reasons
Tucked away
And locked it beyond
So I could only listen
To the beatings of my heart
I faced my pain and sorrows
With pride
That if loving you
Meant for me to dig my grave
And so it is
I signed in my commitment
To love you forever
Even if I'd be buried alive
Bleeding and wounded
Because I will always love you
There's just no other way.

Unravelling

I unravelled this “World”
Mile by glorious mile
From the tops
Of every “Goliath”
To the depths
Of each “Ocean”
And it showed me
A new “World”
One of ceaseless wonders
And the threads of
“New life”
Like me, yet
To reach maturity
But that bore
So many bruises
Of indulgence
That you seemed
To scream to me
“Rape me no more”

I unravelled the “Universe”
Galaxy upon galaxy
Until your infinity
Was no longer
Beyond my comprehension
And travelled from star
To star
Planet beyond planet
And every single Moon
Released to me
The font of knowing
And all your mysteries
Became a reality
That my very comprehension,
Absorbed, as if
The “Universe”
Had adopted me
As its “Long lost”
Forgotten brother

I unravelled, “You”
Inch
By desirable inch
Exploring
All of your beauty
Until
You had no more
To yield
And this to me
Was a new “Universe”
Where all comprehension
Came in “Waves”
Of pure pleasure
And “Crashed”
Upon the beach
Of all my being
And my knowledge
Became so much
The greater
For had I now,
Finally reached
That “Maturity”
That we so desperately
Seek
But to me
You still remain
The unfathomable mystery
And out of all the three
“You”
Are the height
Of my ecstasy

About this poem:
I leave you with my swansong, I am taking a long sabbatical to finish my children's novel I started last year and need to get back to to finish. I shall be gone for 6-12 months, but pop in from time to time to read the poems here. I shall not post or comment but this does not mean I shall not enjoy what I see.
I wish you all well and may your future journey bring you all you desire.
Adios para ahora mi amigo's/amiga's

Poem for Megan

For seven years I've longed for your love,
That's deep and blue as the ocean's bliss -
As winged she flies - a lonely dove -
Through the storm's eye in search of your kiss;-
No longer I'll watch the empty cove,
And dying waves that beg for a tryst -
For times tide has washed away
Each lonely year and empty day.

Till what we have now - a ghost of the past-
Though it still proves that we can hold
A sweet memory that will always last
Against these years a love untold.
I give the spring flowers a final blast -
To thaw the ice of my heart so cold;-
But the loneliness grows - a velveteen moss -
To patina the years that we both have lost.

Still my soul's tempest will not subside
An hour with you and I'd feel whole again
Loneliness drowns in the ebb of your tide
When love's quick fire burns in my veins; -
From my heart's longing I never can hide-
Though the years apart have bound us like chains;-
Where once we loved with hearts that were true -
Now loves faded rose cannot bloom anew.

scattered thoughts (pensieri sparsi)

Time fades reality
into memories, disposes to
interpretations.
Love has no time,
refuses to be interpreted.

Il tempo dissolve la realtà
nei ricordi, dispone di
interpretazioni.
L'amore non ha tempo,
si rifiuta di essere interpretato.
