Star Woman

Embedded image from another site

Awakened by light
scratching the glass of dreams
stepping free
of shadows and silence...

The morning star
absorbing my tiredness
slowly fading away leaving
a blank place in the heavens...

My star woman
the memory of our night
still lingers in my bed
sheets drenched in your perfume...

Before you each night
I would lie down
in a graveyard of dreams
shrouded in moonlight...

You left before dawn
at 5 AM exactly
drowsy and dazed
the sound of your breathing...

On the pillows
also an aroma
still alive and ours
surely a goddess was here...

The very one
who knows
the name of all things
made of love...

Paper Moon

I shed no tears that have not already been wept
I make no promises that have not been kept
For if within my power I would give until I bleed
Flowers will only bloom from a tendered seed

Reaching out I know I can touch the skies
As my fingertips caress the tears in your eyes
I grab the blossom that in the wind flies
And the lonely Wolf no longer cries

For without you I am without myself
Gathering the dust upon that lonely shelf
Awaiting you to waken me from my slumber
And touch all the stars in their infinite number

Then take my hand and lead me into your life
For where you are my destiny lies rife
Those chains that bound us with dreaded fear
Lie broken, for even when you are far you are near

I grasp your soul as if it were my own
And it melts within mine for a single throne
Where the Universe becomes our kingdom
And Shaka Zulu cried the hail of freedom

For I am a part of you as you are part of me
Together we would not relinquish to be born free
We will not be forsaken as Ares and Aphrodite
For our desires are not those of the fallen mighty

Perhaps before the time for us was far too soon
For roses always seem to bloom best in June
When the piper's lips play that long lost tune
And dreams were not dreamt upon a Paper Moon

Warrior

Many battles have I lost, many wars have I won
I never chose my path for I was a godly son
If your faith should question, then I am sorely forsaken
But until that time I have no means to weep for those taken

My life I never asked for, so why should I worry
Death comes to us all; I would only make it hurry
Am I not your minds creation, I shoulder no blame
For throughout the ages only you carry the shame

What need have I of human mindless souls?
Was it not your Gods who determined our goals?
But I grow ever weary, so tired of false deity
For is not fate its own self induced mockery

Then you came to me Dione and Zeus’s daughter
To relinquish me my sins of death and slaughter
I would rest with you amongst the fallen mighty
Ungodly love is forbidden for Ares and Aphrodite

Then take my sword and bury my shield
For the love of you I would gladly yield
And when I search for Hades, for surely I must
Let my weapons rest eternally, forever rust

For my demise to me would seem a new dawn
My lips no longer seek the demonic battle horn
And as with legend we would slowly fade
For we outlived our time in mans enchanted glade

Cloud Castle

Embedded image from another site

In her final moments
her silent face lies before me
mother's eyes so serene
like a lake undisturbed
by turbulent winds
perhaps inside she was smiling
perhaps not
perhaps lost in a world
of dreamy thoughts..

Her eyes cast a final gaze
as she faded into the kingdom
of brilliant white light
time seemed to have slowed
as she drifted away
surrounded by sobbing...

I had always known
the final moments
would be painful for me
but to my great surprise
it was peaceful for mother
as my tears flow wide
it was where I was
by my mother's side
as she joined
God's cloud castle in the sky...

Shades of darkness

Embedded image from another site

She comes to me
when night time swallows
all remnants of light
when the moon turns black
just one minute before midnight...

Her skin is as dark
as the shadows on sunny days
she is what I see
when I close my eyelids
beautiful in melanin, a dark beauty...

She is the darkness that restores
darkness that brings peaceful charms
coming just after twilight
we nestle safely in each others arms
when the day turns into night...

Along the beach

Embedded image from another site

Lovely dark woman
the tide brings you
for love is a child
and the sea water
brings your kisses
like turbulent waves...

Gulls float and sing
such a sweet song
the birds glide
above the ships
along the horizon
the ships return thither..

You my queen
the daughter sleeps
the taste of wine
from your lips
our souls sing
mermaid of the sea...

You the beautiful rose
the warmth of your arms
a lover who never mourns
together we soar the sky
together flying pair to pair...

MY SOULMATE

Mine heart and spirit doth weep
For its soulmate it doth seek
Ages and ages it hath roamed
Seeking for its forever earthly home

Always being hid in the dark
Wishing for its love upon the stars
The moon comes and leaves again
And the sun shines and sets on the glen

Fog hides the shadows by night
While dewdrops glitter in the morning light
Like little diamonds and pearl strings
Delicate and lacy like butterfly wings

Waiting and waiting for the one to come
The one and only true love
The pain at times more than I can bear
Heart aching and eyes wet with tears

Forever being told when the time is right
When the stars are aligned in the night
I will know when I will see my loved one’s face
That my heart and soul is in the right place

Bad Day

Embedded image from another site

I had a bad day
maybe it's not
about having a beautiful day
but finding a beautiful moment.

Maybe a whole day
is too much to ask
in all things, no matter
how dark or ugly.

We can find
shades of beauty
if we look for them
like the sound of her voice.

When I have a crazy day
she makes me smile
when the day kicks my butt
she forces me to laugh.

Love is a good thing
on a bad day
when you have your baby
to chase the demons away..

World Population

I first thought about it in eighth grade
This world population was getting too big
Back when Jesus was around it was only 200 million
That was what mother nature intended
They discovered cures for things that kept us in check
Now we are a virus on this wonderful planet
We got too smart for our own good it seems
We'll be 7 billion by the end of 2011
I shouldn't care about this but it hurts
The jobs and the animals are being destroyed by it
The water, the air, the plants and animals are being destroyed by it
So I recycle, I don't litter, I do what I can
but I feel like a samonella bacteria
confused and choking on the crap of all the others
How big will we get?
Will we ever go to Mars?
Will we ever find a solution?
Or will we just recycle another soda bottle?

Beautiful girl, perfect girl

I’m far from beautiful and perfect
I’ve been told so many times I’m just not worth it
I went through battles and I went through pain
The other girls never treated me the same
I refused to think it was because I was black
I’m certain it’s not because of that
I was always by myself with my mirror
All the boys were scared off by my brother
All the lies were covered up by my mother
People saw me and said wow she’s perfect
Little did they know under the makeup lives a girl who's not worth it?
I was forced fed vanity and commanded to make it a part of me
Entered in to the contest of who's the prettiest
Waxing, lip gloss, miniskirts and fake teeth were forced on me since I was three
Now lives a cold hearted girl age of 18
Who thinks happiness lies in money and beauty
