The tree

Embedded image from another site

Is love
like wild sweet honey
that bees store
like the tender sap
that weeps from a tree at dawn?

Is it like sap
that flows from
the garden of a woman?
I am here now
with outstretched arms
waiting for her...

The night is cold
I have counted
the silver fingers of the moon
as I imagine
her fingers caressing
my hair...

Outside the wind blows
the night is filled with shadows
in my sky they are dying
as I wish to touch her face
I dream of turtledoves
cooing her to sleep..

Penzance to Exeter

It won’t take long
Not on the 12.42
It only has one stop
But oh! The view

Make sure you have your bag
That one where I wrote on the side
“Thanks for nothing”
I know you consider that sarcasm
But oh! The view

I packed all your things
A bottle of jealousy
That big can of bitterness
Your box of greed
Oh and not forgetting
A trunk full of hatred
I know they weigh heavily
But you carry them so well

Did you take that picture?
The one where I am smiling
I think I took it tomorrow
Never mind, I will post it on
I am sure you left a stamp
Its here somewhere
Buried amongst all the scars

The geese will get there quicker
For they carry no baggage
I think you forgot your toothbrush
But I will post it on, with the picture
I took tomorrow
Whilst you think of the view

I know you are constantly checking
But it definitely says “One way only”
Make sure your seat is by the window
Don’t the geese look superb?
Maybe one day they will return
For they carry no baggage
They just enjoy the view

What care I for your ill’s
It wasn’t I
That made you board the train
I only bear the guilt
For buying the ticket
Did you enjoy the view?

Sweet Sylvia, Sweet

Sweet Sylvia in the morning
dew clinging to every inch of her soft plush fur.

Her eyes of amber,
calming and iridescent showing what appears to be...no fear.

Sweet Sylvia, her coat like that of pure snow
before the first touch of daylight reaches its tendrils down to thicken the softly set snow.

Sweet Sylvia`s gentle features playing with my emotions.

Tense as I am, not at all used to these beings being this close;
close so that her breath and mine entwine.

I can see her sinewy muscles always between the position of moving forward,
or to the side to better define the human that stands before her.

Sweet Sylvia`s entrusting eyes help me overcome the fear of her power;
power of the soul I never realized she had.

Sweet Sylvia, Sweet.

About this poem:
Written 8-4-02, a lot of the wolf poems I write are about my personal struggles with pieces of myself, and this one had a lot to do with seeing beauty within myself, and trusting that it was real, and that I should accept it. On the other hand, it has a strong message about understanding the wolf which I think we are all still trying to do. Sylvia, is also a medicine woman up here, so the name seemed fitting.

Interaction

How is it how you interact
Can you communicate with ease
Can you deliver what you want known
Or do you just freeze

Do you have a silver tongue
That sneaks behind their guard
An loosens up their credibility
An opens up their heart

Be it the old lady down the road
Or the kid behind the counter
Can you treat both the same
An enjoy the banter

What about the aggro dude
Who's so into himself
Or maybe the ordinary girl
Whose confidence is on the shelf

What about the drunk
Whose life is somewhere lost
Or the rich fella in the suit
Who never wonders about the cost

Be it black white yellow or green
I dont really care
As long as i have interaction
Then communication i"ll share

For everyone has something to offer
No matter how it is portrayed
The value of such does differ
A long as the genuiness is paid

Paid by respect to whats on offer
Simple vision an simple terms
A nod a wink an honest smile
An conversation looms

HOW I TRULY FELT

You made my soul a brighter place
in my heart you secured a space
The passion you've shown I treasure
reciprocation my immense pleasure

You truly are special that's for sure
joy you give has been a cure
You're a woman of the rarest kind
one just a few are lucky to find

Love for you I have never known
resplendence that makes my heart moan
Being without you I just can't see
I hope 'future' has plans for you and me

Today is deemed a more meaningful one
it is only another soon to be done
My desire is your happiness everyday
you're simply the best I must convey

The " I Love You " Rose is Red
in me chivalry lives til I'm dead
True love for you will never stray
"Happy Valentines Day"

Call it love

Embedded image from another site

The night it is barren
from inland to the sea
but I am the one who loves you
you are not alone.

Tonight the sky is empty
stars fall in the sea
I am the light to guide you
do not wish to be alone.

If the world becomes deserted
all eyes you see are sad
I will smile for you
you will never be alone.

Sleeping I dreamed you
awake I keep dreaming
I dream because you love me
and I am not alone.

It is sometimes madness
a longing absentee
call it love
and we are not alone...

Thank you that you exist

Embedded image from another site
To you thank you that you nearby,
Even if nearby you are absent,
You virtual look
You grant to my soul light.
Thank you that has kissed,
But only it is a pity not in reality,
And that at the nights I embraced
It is a pity for a smile, not in reality.
You have presented me hope
And me not to spit any more,
What to me to wear clothes,
And what it isn't necessary to put on.
As it is good what is just possible
With you to speak about much.
And I didn't know, how difficult
Not to be darling, but to love.

A Starry Shade of Night

Embedded image from another site

Love forever eludes me perhaps because it flies on angelic wings
And yet my earth bound body is beneath the weight of gravity
Its like following a rainbow to an end I'll never see
Or like chasing the horizon as it falls away from me
Will I ever find that pot of gold and embrace a warm sunset
With my heart on sandy shores beneath a sky I won't forget
To become envious of the moon as it illuminates her face
Gently dancing across her skin as it adorns with utter grace
Then inhale the scent of beauty as her lips press next to mine
As I watch the midnight sky reflect inside her radiant eyes
and in her starry shade
  Of dim and solitary loveliness
I learn’d the language of another world
That I've found deeply within a kiss

A Child's Pain

I love to see a child cry...
When it's tears of joy pouring from their eyes...
I love to see a child die...
When it's laughter that causes the dying inside...

I love to see a child in pain...
If it's just from the loss of their new toy plane...
I love the sound of a child's screams...
When they wake up realizing it was just bad dreams....

I will cradle you with my comforting arms...
Keeping you safe from the pains and the harms...
I will wash away all your pains of the day...
No matter what you may do or may say....

Unjust Inquisition

My Dearest Father in Heaven;

I know it's not my right tonight to inquire of Your position...
Curiosity, has obviously, gotten the best of me...
I will not try to justify this unjust inquisition...
Why must there be, for all to see, such harsh atrocities?

It is in this holy place of solitude that I contemplate our fate...
For time waits for no one in this season of disgrace...
Spirit worlds have a perfect record of accepting...
All of those rejecting their unlimited space....

You need not answer me these things Dearest Father...
My faith will trump my fears...
I say these things in Jesus's name...
And seal them with my tears...
Amen....
