Longing for your hug

I want to hug you
And never let you go,
I want to smell your hair
While the snow
Falls slowly through the air
I won`t even dare
At this precious moment
Open my eyes
That might surprise
You, but I`m still afraid to realize
I`m hugging just my pillow...

INSPIRATION IN FINDING THAT "SPECIAL SOMEONE"

Searching for the right person isn’t easy to find. Often our efforts seem unrewarded as we are met with defeat…

Our hearts filled by discouragement and doubt, as our life remains incomplete, which is something we would rather be without…

Inside we feel a sense of hopelessness and despair as we fear our most cherished dreams are shattered, making our situation more difficult to bear…

But, despite our misfortunes, there are some comforting thoughts we should keep in mind. With patience and persistence, we will soon find that fate will guide us to that “Special Someone” that is loving, loyal and kind.

As we gain a renewed awareness that there is a caring soul to extend a helping hand and give inspiration that there is hope and brighter times just ahead…

That life will once again be grand even though much of our past has not turned out quite the way we had planned…

About this poem:
This poem is designed to give singles new hope and inspiration in finding their "special someone".

At the I wrote it, I felt that finding that "special someone" was a real challenge in today's world.

I was inspired to write this poem as it tells a story of how I really felt and the emotions that I experienced in my search for finding that "specail someone". The words just came to me, and I just got up and "ran" with it and let the words "flow".

girlfriend died in car crash miss her so much

I know I haven’t visited you
Since the day you were buried
And I just want to say I’m sorry.
But I just still can’t believe you’re gone,
And it’s getting more real each day.
The crash seems like yesterday.
Although I know it's been quiet some time.
It’s almost your birthday.
Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten.
I already got you a gift but
it’s just something small.
I’m going to visit you and unwrap it by your side.
Then scrap up some dirt, and place it in the earth.
Next to it I’ll place a picture,
Of us and the team at the pool.
And when you see them,
I hope you know that I still miss you.
And not a single day goes by that I don’t wish you were here.

It is Not Because

It is not because you are beautiful
Or that look I see within your eyes
Or the height of every wistful willow
That reaches so far unto the skies
It is not because the world goes round
And all the seas lap around your toes
Or the merry go round that makes you smile
Or that lovely crinkle you have in your nose
It is not because you walk with grace
And blades of grass bow to your wake
And every mighty mountain trembles
From the soft footsteps that you take
It is not because the snows will melt
From the pure radiance of your glow
Or the hunger of the parched Serengeti
Will bleed anew as you make rivers flow
It is not because you are beautiful
That the Sun shines down every day
And every blade of grass that is cut
Turns into the most glorious yellow hay
It is not because the world goes round
That makes life every brand new day
It is just because
You are you

The Peace

Twas a breathless night
And daybreak was fighting to arrive
On the far horizon
The last fading stars
Were caressing the early skies
Saying their final goodbyes
For the day ahead
And yet
It was far too early
To hear the morning birdsong
That made all
The trees, whisper their words
Of dawn greeting
It was that time
When all is still
Night was not over
Dawn had not managed to begin
And
All was quiet
So we sat and stared
Into each others eyes, that knowing look
Of tranquillity and unspoken words
That needed no telling
It was our time
A spellbound moment of love unbroken
And peace to us had spoken

Chrissy- Three's Company (Season 4:The Goodbye Guy

You can run from love
You can run from war
You can run from the cop on the beat
You can run from danger
You can run from a stranger
But you can't run away from your feet

I LOVE A CLOUDY DAY

I love a cloudy day when all is dark and dreary,That sleepy, cozy, kinda feeling that leaves us kinda weary.

Even as a child,I would love to sit and stare..as rain came down, and car's drove by splashing water everywhere!!!

It brings a sorta peace to me,dont know why some complain..as there is surely time for sunshine..but there's also time for the rain.

It makes me feel nostalgic,I love to ponder when..times were so much simpler, when I just hung out with friends.

Also it's romantic on a cloudy day to be..with that one you like to cuddle with, and kiss just you...and he.

So please try to appreciate the dark days like the bright, cause the God who created daylight..also created night.

I love you! yes, I do

I love you
Yes, I do

And I know you love me too

I say it
And I know you already knew

I say it
Because I do

I say it
Not because
I want to hear you love me too

But I say it
So that you don’t forget

I LOVE YOU! ^__^

El Parque

I sit between two circles
On a bench cast in iron
Pitted with age and memories
Beneath my feet lie
Paths of crazy paving
Trying to mock
All that is order in life
A grassed outer circle
Sits sheltered by trees
Each of differing hues
Rooted to life
Fighting for space
In a genetic battle
Where light
Is their only master
Small insects travel
Hither and thither
Searching for existence
But never sure
Where it may lie
But seeming to understand
That it is here somewhere

The small inner circle
Is ringed in iron spears
Sharp and erect
Like a guard of honour
Flowers form a barricade
To the inner sanctum
Grateful for the wisps
Of life giving spray
Repaying their dues
With an abundance of colour
A small fountain
Cascades back into itself
With that soft caress
Only water can exude
Mesmerising my thoughts
Spreading its gentle fall
Over my very being
Until I seem to reach
A state of pure peace
It is only here
For that moment in time
That life
Stalls

The three legged dog

Embedded image from another site

As I was walking about
I came across
a three legged dog
he was behind a fence...

He barked as is if to say hello
that he was doing just fine
that he could do everything
a four legged dog could do
he did not view himself as handicapped...

He barked and wagged his tail
he didn't say life wasn't fair
I think he was trying to say
he's just like any other dog...

I stopped and petted his head
and began to think
this three legged dog
does better than most two legged people..
