YOUR QUEST

gold hidden 'neath the rugged earth
upon which lay your quest
yet murky and turbid is the dew
that is harvested in a cup of sand
your weakness never sets
over the parched and scorching heat
nor will your strength
ever laid to rest
until you will run out
of your sweats
you will want to know
deep within your heart
why all this land
is covered with blood
and as the world lay witness
and yet mightily unconcerned
to its naked plight

your mind will never fathom
why the rift is burning strong
so you will keep on digging
until you reach the bottom
hoping it will lay bare
all the reasons,
that this blood covered land
is a conflict no more
in the mighty difference
of white and black color
but the gap of those
who have and who don't

the question is...will man ever learn
how to vanish indifference?
give to those that have not
and even out the earth's wealth
so revolt will not explode?

perhaps nobody really cares...
you are alone, abandoned
on this quest..
buried
in a drifting sand
stained with ruthlessness
by the greed of human hand
glued forever
in human blood.

Same Homeless man I metaphor

When i walked behind the liquor store
a homeless man asked me for change
told him what i could afford
and he looked at me deranged

he claimed to be an angel
I had failed my first test
so i beat him oh so badly
and laid him there to rest

Next day i walked the same path
looney old man no where to be found
guess i had given ol fella
a pretty good ol pound

Weeks had passed and pride was high.
.
Never thought i was gonna die
why did someone get the homeless man high

" Let us hurry"

This Poem is dedicated to my Norwegian female Best Friend Heidi Rones who died on 3/08/2015 evening, after being in coma since 11th of Jun 2015 due to heart attack and medical complications afterwards.

This Poem is written by Polish writer Jan Twardowski , and translated to English.

“Let us hurry to love people they depart so quickly”.

Let Us Hurry
Let us love people now they leave us so fast
The shoes remain empty and the phone rings on
What's unimportant drags on like a cow
The meaningful sudden takes us by surprise
The silence that follows so normal it's
Hideous like chastity born most simply from despair
When we think of someone who's been taken from us.

Don't be sure you have time for there's no assurance
As all good fortune security deadens the senses
It comes simultaneously like pathos and humour
Like two passions not as strong as one
They leave fast grow silent like a thrush in July
Like a sound somewhat clumsy or a polite bow
To truly see they close their eyes
Though to be born is more of risk than to die
We love still too little and always too late.

Don't write of it too often but write once and for all
And you'll become like dolphin both gentle and strong.

Let us love people now they leave us so fast
And the ones who don't leave won't always return
And you never know while speaking of love
If the first one is last or the last one first.

In memory of Heidi Rones (Narvik,Norway)

I love You for being yourself.
Thank You for everything.
You'll always remain in my heart, and I will never forget You.....

About this poem:
I read and walked for miles at night along the beach,
writing bad blank verse and searching endlessly for someone wonderful who would step out of the darkness and change my life. It never crossed my mind that that person could be me.__Anna Quindlen

Cafe challenge (who would she be)?

I leave it up to you poets..
Whom among all the poet ladies do
you think I am most compatible?

Wow! Have I opended Pandora's box
or what? Lol

I have a deep love an admiration for
all my lady poets to be sure, but perhaps
one may be suited for me.

You know me.
You know my heart.
You know my strengths
and weaknesses to a degree.

Soooo... break out the popcorn
and cokes and get that vote in.

This could be fun.

A Woman's Beauty

A woman's beauty may well surpass her soul -
A woman's beauty won't be revealed to all.
A woman's beauty - for the man who sees it not; -
That man will never see - that's his sad lot.

A woman's beauty - only seen in glimpses-
When two stranger's eyes meet - perhaps on a train;
And as we go to work in the rush hour, -
A quick glance may hold all of her power.

A woman's heart is soft - with a finesse -
The fair sex - and I'll call it a grace; -
Yet her love will go out like a light -
For the man who doesn't treat her right.

Christmas without you

A tiny star flickerd in the sky
angels rejoiced, knowing it was time
they all gathered round, loved ones you once mourned
unto them,the eve you passed
an angel had been born.

It's like a dream i wish to wake from now
if only, someway .. somehow
what to see you there in your fireside chair
but it's no dream to waken from
for you are now, an angel mom.

We'll meet again such a time will be
for i have faith and much belief in me,
it's what keeps me going when you i always mourn
all this my sadness with come to pass
when i am the angel born.

Untill we meet again..
i shall be missing you always till then.

Remembering also the gentleman of the blogs that he was...
our friend, our darling Simmo..

TWILIGHT

TWILIGHT

I LOVE BEST, NOT THE YELLOW SUN
OR LIGHT OF THE SILVER MOON,
NOR GREY, THAT SEEPS ACROSS THE SKY,
TO WHISPER, DAWN COMES SOON

FOR MY LOVE IS OF TWILIGHT,
WHEN THE DAY IS ALMOST DONE,
THE BIRDS, HAVE CEASED THERE SINGING,
GOD'S HAND, HAS ALL BUT QUENCHED THE SUN

TIS THEN I LOVE THAT STILLNESS
IN THE LAST BREATH OF THE DAY,
THE AULD WANS, ALWAYS SAID THAT TWAS
THE ANGELS, HOUR TO PRAY,

TIS THEN I PAUSE, TO STAND AND LOOK
FAR AWAY, OUT O'ER THE GLEN,
ASK GOD, TO LET ME LIVE TO SEE,
THE TWILIGHT, ONCE AGAIN.

About this poem:
An old woman, who lived in a hollow part of the valley, climbed to higher ground, to stand by an old gate, and watch the gold, or pink hue of twilight, thrown out across the hill, which she loved dearly, sometimes while strolling of an evening, id met her there, and we muzed, to while away an hour, and watch the gloming. the poem Twilight, is in her memory, Babbie Johnson, may you rest in peace and stillness, of your beloved Twilight. auld wans, a local expression, meaning old women

To the CS lady poets

The depth of her emotions - like a sea; -
Are something that few men can understand;-
Like Einstein with his relativity;
Where in this world we're but a grain of sand;-
Sometimes a spark in lady's eye I see;
(Then I feel humble, for I am just a man);-
The female, and the sacred, and the goddess;-
Where compassion soaks like tears down a dress.

It's women who gave birth to all our life;-
The reflection of her soul is in her eyes;
A gentle spirit in this world of strife;-
She rocks her baby softly lullabies;
And then maybe, she'll make a goodly wife;-
She wants understanding, when those tears she cries;
You must love her most - even when shes old;-
That's her comfort in a world so cold.

I say to all the ladies: we are but men;-
We have our weakness and our imperfections;
Forgive us when we stray, (just now and then);-
To seek solace in another girl's affections;
I'll try to be a better man - and when;-
I find love - it will be my resurrection.;
I'm not saying that, in beauty, you are blameless;-
Though with your gentle hearts, you do ashame us.

Black Hair Blue-Eyed Girl

Black hair
Blue-eyed girl,
Beauty beyond compare...

A blue morning sky
Rises in her eyes,
I am born to die

Within her embrace,
My dark sweet raven
Of tender saving grace...

This night I enshroud
In her body the fury storm,
Above her head gathering clouds

Misty water cleansing my pain,
She gently unleashes her hair
To fall softly like rain

As Cool ringlets upon my chest,
Lips of lightning strikes of kisses
A tsunami of healing caress...

Blue-eyed
Black haired girl,
Smiled and sighed,

Drew near to silently say,
Sweet lover this feeling
Carries my breath away,

Fulfilling our secret needs,
Causing heart and flesh to burn
In embered passionate deeds...
