Birth Days - Me and You

Embedded image from another site

Me……
It started out like any other day
I’m sure my loving Mam would say
Until the flutter of little dance kicks
Started pushing and playing tricks

Not knowing if a third boy was to be born
Many prayers, hopes maybe forlorn
A baby girl would be so awesome
Or was I just playing like a opossum

Little foot dangling everyone in a hurry
Didn’t need this wee one in this flurry
Hardly breathing in the car to hospital
These toes could be a girl quite probable

No time now for baby to turn around
Everyone laughing born “upside down”
Feet first always seemed upright to me
Why not fancy yourself as a bel esprit?

I came into the world ready to take a stand
Even though headfirst had the upper hand
(no intended pun)
I have often questioned this birth right theory
Conflicted, this juxtaposition made me O’leary
(Irish poke for fun)

You and me…….
Years of life as a teacher we all agree
Experiences befall us we didn’t foresee
Only love is the unseen and seen reality
Bringing to our spirits an indelible totality

We are all miracles, light bodies on consignment
Cosmic particles placed in perfect Solar alignment
Given in love, prayer, humbleness and respect
In the divinity of life we all emanate a special effect

So my beautiful birthday friends near and afar
Whether you came into being head or feet first
We are a cymes flowering and clustering like a blue star
Celebrating life as shown through the mastery of a Renoir

If we long for life full of experience we will live another year
Through ups, downs, disappointments tears and some fear
Look up and reach for the heavens and the awesome blue skies
Ponder miracles and how much you are loved through clear eyes

Briefs or Boxers?

So which is best?
Briefs or boxers?
It's the ultimate question really...

Briefs - lightweight, cool in summer...
never get a wedgie
and generally cheaper.

Boxers - close fit, not loose,
still plenty of support,
warmer, yet cooler?

I've given it 45 years...
well 35 really...
ten years of M&S Superman Y-Fronts preceded...

OK, so black lycra boxers
for now
but later maybe back to briefs.

Ahhh the eternal dilema.
why can't there just be...
one choice?

Just a bit of fun so you don't all think I'm some deep dark melancholic freak... Oh - your opinions on the dilema would be appreciated :o)

If..

If the earth is still
on its hinges, then
I have not rocked
the world
If the brightest star
is not cooled by loves
passion, then the flag
of truth is yet unfurled
If we still grope in the
stench of hate, then
marvel not at our
hellish fate-

He Touched Me

He touched me with his eyes, when I was too young to see. I touched him with a smile and then he came to me. He touched with his voice when I was too young to hear,I touched him with my quiet ways, and soon did his love appear. He touched me with his hands when I was too young to feel.I touched him with my selfishness but he didn't believe it was real.He touched me with his heart but I was too young to care.I touched him with all the pain ,more than he could bare.He touched me with his tears but I was too young to cry.I touched him with my new ideas and then I said,"goodbye".He touched me with his blessings but I was too young to see, that this man, with all this love would forever mean the world to me.

About this poem:
I was only 16 when I met my first husband.I was young and stupid and soon after we married I wanted a divorce so I could be free and wild. For most of my life since then, I have kicked myself for dumping that wonderful man,but I was young, immature and wanted my freedom.

I love you

I love you
That's right!
Now smoke that
in your pipe
I'm with you
That's right!
Now wait til
tonight
I'm dedicated, not
medicated, you'll
wanna take me
home
Tell momma, tell
daddy you're sittin'
by the phone
That's right !
I love you
Now smoke that
in your pipe

I love the poets voices

You've touched my heart
with the sound of your
voice
I heard the love that echo's
from your soul
Now you've made a sound
for my heart to treasure
You've given me joy that
no one can measure

pictures in the sand

Its a dull and overcast day
I walk along the sandy beach
gazing into the distance and out to sea
There i see pictures all lined up neatly over the sea

over the sea
In lines hovering over the sea
Is it my life i see before me
my ies light up as i remember the the good times and the bad

lots and lots of pictures i see my life in front of me and my past fades away but not forgoton people i see in my pictureS long since gone but not forgoton
My childhood, my middle age there in pictures in front of me

What awaits my future what lies a head of me my rows of pictures my life in front of me

love

love is like blood in vains
we cant live without it
It comes like heavy rains
its arrows in heart hit
our souls fly in th sky
our hearts leap vry high
Its curing our sadness
it may be like madness
but we love to love
we love its pains
unless we got lost
in its deep tunnel
when we love we are
angels flying far
to meet our sweetheart
pay attention for that

A dream

One day I met her upon the sand,
Where she used to play.
She gazed and told me to stand,
I stood like a statue of clay.
She came and waved with her hand,
My heart lept in the sky
Her words were like a band
The two souls danced with joy
The two hearts were full of love
But ! Alas what can I do ?
With my fate ! She flew as a dove
At last I woke up ! It was
A dream

Pulse

So this
is what
it's like
to be
in love
......
It's some
pow'rful
stuff. I
don't think
I can
take it
much more.
The fluct
ua
ting cy
cle of
emo
tions. They
take their
toll on
my ver
ry soul.
......
Without
you, I
can do
nothing
cause all
I can
think of
is you.
Your warmth,
your heart,
your smile,
your face,
even
your kind
gentle
embrace.
......
What once
only
was mere
flirta
tion now
designs
my sub
juga
tion. My
heart now
beats, not
"lub" or
"dub" but
now has
taken
up your
name. "My
love, my
love" drum
ming forth
from my
own chest.
"My love,
my love,
I need
my love."
