HER LOVELINESS I NEVER KNEW !

Her loveliness I never knew,
Until she smiled on me,
O then I saw her eye was bright,
A well of love, a spring of light.

I am not old, but mellow,
Like a good wine.
My age is lusty, frosty,
but kindly.

All love, all liking, all delight,
Lies drowned with us in endless night.
Our heart to heart,
and mind to mind,
In body and soul can bind.

About this poem:
I am a mental health professional. I enjoy literature, Shakespeare and poetry. I am a poet. When I wrote this poem, I was thinking of love of my life Diana. The poems of Elizabeth Barrett Browning expressed my eternal love, "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the length and depth and height, My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight; For the ends of Being and ideal of Grace. I love thee to the level of every day's, Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight. I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life!--and, if God chooses, I shall love thee better after death.

HARD ROMANCE

Why is life so hard to live....Why do so many take rather than give...They take your love then throw it away....And it happens to so many people eveyday.....So eveyday there is pain...And your life is never the same.....Is there a cure for a broken heart.....Can you really make a fresh start....I do not have the answer to this mess....To the solution i can only guess....So every day i go through the motion....Hoping love is not just a romantic notion.......jw

Join Me

Join me and we'll rake over my frustrations for a while
Shatter my allusions
Batter my confusions
Leave me with contusions

Join me and we'll try to put the world to rights
Build more bridges
Get rid of old fridges
In time save more stitches

Join me and together we'll make love along the shore
Find tenderness in the act
Make true a tearful fact
Leave behind tact

Join me and we'll find a new and happy life for us
Build houses made of stone
A place to call our home
To never feel alone

Join me and we'll be together
Just for now and forever
What more could I want...

Write me a poem

Please write me a poem
about your kiss..
Make it something I'd
really miss..
Write it short, write
it sweet
Let me read it the day
we meet~

A Misty Morning

It all just comes to a stop.
Smoke blown in to the moisture laden morning air...
Hanging there before my eyes...
It's message not lost to me, but perhaps ignored.
The sun never quite giving the feeling
of a day begun in earnest.
No stirring from brittle branches
moistened and heavy from the morning mist.

But still birdsong falls like rainbow rain
the small lives hidden from view but there.
A persistant primrose refusing to give ground to the season
- still fighting to flower – a droplet of colour in the grey
Are these a message to me?
Did I miss something when I cast my eye over the world?
Perhaps I didn't,
but did I really see?

Scorpion

Embedded image from another site

Sting my heart
Come to me
Take your rightful part
Eyes that see

Sting me slow
Pour love
Over me in innocence
The kind of
Pureness that is deep

Sting me now
With love’s pleasure
Show me how
To accept the treasure

Sting me with
Your intense secrets
Soft myths
In romantic sweetness

Sting my soul
With Mars passion
Take control
Fill me with pleasure

Sting me
Feel the intensity
So free
Let it come and be

Sting me
With
Your love
Wrapped in amenity

Sting me
For
Eternity

Solace

Embedded image from another site

With the solace of inquiring minds
Thoughts ascend like chalice crowns
Thinking in perpetual colors so renowned
Gypsiferous thoughts that mark all mankind

Under pale cool sun of winter we abound
Whimsically moving to sweet humming sounds
Seeing wonderment in flights of the tiny Anthus
Painting ambrosia images upon a blank canvas

Laced blue skies hold magical lost eons
Twinkling eyes diffused by lights of neons
Vibrational laws of physics perpetually move us
Healing us with blessings that constantly change us

In murmurs hushed by frosty winter snows
Changes are made across fissiparous archipelagos
Created in holy images moving through eternity
Immersed in divine love and worthy

In this peaceful space we find comfort therein
Showing our love for one another like patrilineal kin
Divine souls possessing a heightened sense of identity
Lives moving and continuing as one connected entity

The Cat in the Hat

There once was a cat,
that sat in a hat,
and hid himself from view.

With head down low,
he was in the know,
the yapping dog was due.

Day after day,
dog wanted to play,
and would chase him around and around.

So quiet as a mouse,
cat hid in the house,
hoping he wouldn't be found.

It had happened for years,
and the cat was in tears,
his nerves frayed right to the end.

And once as a kitten,
he'd even been bitten,
the injury took ages to mend.

But this day was the last,
it was a thing of the past,
the dog he'd see not again.

For his owner and him,
and the hat with the trim,
were tomorrow all moving to Spain.

Youth is Wasted on the Young

Youth is wasted on the young,
they treat it like some foul smelling dung.
Instead of embracing their moment in time,
they play computer games, it's such a crime.

Back in my youth, we would be out all day,
cycling, climbing, among the fray.
Playing games, usually with a ball,
cricket, soccer, we played them all.

But nowadays it's on a screen,
shut up in rooms, and never seen.
No sunshine, upon their faces,
never exploring, exciting places.

In my day, life was real,
action games, seeking the thrill.
Falling out of trees, and grazing knees,
life in my day was one big wheeze.

Close to You

Embedded image from another site

I’m going to get very close to you
I’ll get under your handsome skin
My magic will make you feel anew
Get your heart ready and let me in

Ever so slowly, sure and steady too
My feminine wiles cosmically abound
You won’t know what happened to you
You were a lost lover now you’re found

Give up your heart, offer it to me freely
This sensual love affair is waiting eagerly
Wrapped in total complete abandonment
Feel the awesomeness of this moment
Thinking of you I smile deeply, secretly
Thoughts of lovemaking replays frequently

Lighting the way as the fantasy begins
Lifting us higher soaring on Cupids wings
While faraway music plays on violins
Singing love stories of Queens and Kings

Connected bodies and souls never to depart
Get ready! Our love will be a work of art
Taking us on a journey into endless eternity
Possessing beauty and sweet peaceful serenity
