did u know that "AWARE" rhymes with 'UN-FAIR

I HOPE YOU PEOPLE ARE PAYING ATTENTION TO HOW A GREAT POET, SUCH AS I, KEEPS THE PEOPLE'S ATTENTION, BECAUSE OFTEN WHEN I CAN'T GO TO SLEEP I LOG ON TO THIS PAGE AND THE BOREDOM OF MOST OF THE POEMS LULLS ME GENTLY TO SLEEP

TWO OF THIS BUT ONLY ONE OF THOSE

Four white wall tires and one white whale
One tuxedo and a ripped and ragged sail
Four cops, and one criminal in jail
A hundred bucks in my pocket but it’s two hundred for bail

A pair of doves and peace declared from above
A hundred eighty pushes but only one shove
Some salt on the table but assault is a whole different thing
Three thousand copper bracelets but only one real diamond ring

Steal a bit of time and steal that one real diamond ring
White picket fences and a fence that will buy almost anything
One cerulean blue sky beset by a single cloud
One silent prayer but ten million said aloud

Let me take you to wherein oppression ends
Ain’t no such place in a world of a hundred enemies and only two friends
Oppression leads to depression and depression leads to death
Now breathe deeply for the doctor and take your last sacred breath

POETS CAN ONLY BE DECLARED POETS WHEN POETRY IS THEIR MAIN CONCERN, AND NOT JUST TO TAKE UP THE LONELY SPACES OF TIME BUT TO TRY AND MAKE YOURELF MORE PLEASANT---AIN'T NO CHANCE OF THAT HAPPENING, CUZ U AIN'T FORGIVING AND YOU AIN'T A POET....BUT THEN AGAIN, WHAT WOULD MAKE ME THINK I AM AWARE AWARE AWARE AWARE AWARE OG ANYTHING....YOURS IN BORDOM, BELEAGUERMENT AND BEASTS THAT EAT ONE'S BRAINS OUT, GOING FROM THE MADULLA OBLONGATA TO ~~free cee!~

About this poem:
i like the fact that hermit crabs come into a poetry room merely to make everyone AWARE that there is a woman, alone but who claims not to be lonely....bull! you may know her by her obviating, oblivious and obscure comments she feels compelled to leave for less than mdiocre poets. Then again, the night life in midwest Florida i'm certain is filled with poetic type people, beginning with you, if i ever see another poem of yours posted yet! (IF I AM THINKING OF YOU, NO MATTER HOW OVERWHELMINGLY HURTFUL THOSE THOUGHTS ARE, IT STILL MEANS I'M THINKING OF YOU...read any of my e-mails but for the one you could use as ammunition

i write 15 poems in a day and u bury THEM!!!!

NO FUTURE, NO FUN, ONLY FAILURE

Perhaps that’s bothers me most
Haunting and hunting for me as a ghost
She had to have known I’d end up injured
Yet ignored what I had suffered and endured

I put up with promises I knew were secretive dreams
I put up with wondering if the lady is what she seems
My second nature obviously beat the s**t out of my first
And not only that but second nature did its f*****g worst

She must have known my body, spirit and mind would fall apart
I have too much compassion and soul within my heart
So I provided what she needed with no price, bill or fee
But she had to have known the last man to do this to was me

So now I yearn to do all the things she knew I shouldn’t do
Like drinking and drugging myself half to death and that is nothing new
She’s comfy while I wish I were being welcomed into hell by it’s host
And perhaps that’s what bothers me most

read it and see the title it doesn't fit

YOU KNOW WHEN A LAWYER IS FYING AND IT’S WHENEVER HIS HIPS ARE GROOVING

Did you slip and fall and it’s the merchant’s fault??
Well we’re going to get you enough money to fill a vault
Did you have a relative who slipped and fell
Fear not, they’ll be represented by men going to hell

He tries in every way to get you to believe but more importantly to stay
Because he sees his bank account in everything you say
While you’re describing to a man about an injury you sustained
He sees his safety deposit box and cares not if you’re pained

Okay, so let’s say you didn’t fall but you remember something fell
Don’t you recall it came right down from the sky says the man headed for hell
Surely you recall it was noontime on the seventeenth and you were injured
And I’ll get you a bankroll no matter who says there was no pain you endured

Have you or a loved one worked in the mines
Or in a school as old as the liberty bell
Then you may have been exposed to asbestos or at least read between the lines
So the fools say“Yeah, okay, I’ll be in on the deal and we’ll both go to hell”

The Lonely Traveller

Miles and miles lie ahead
being even and odd at places,
having rise and fall on its ways
in the horizon the path mixes.

Unknown, sill unknown it is;
the path is still undiscovered.
it attracts me to be discovered
and I am a mad on this road.

The horizon moves away further;
the lonely path does not end.
Yet my cherished end unachieved,
and ahead have I to cross that bend.

Where leads it me? To a town
where man is a worm in gutter;
where man lives in empty din and bustle
without having his bread and butter?

Man is not a beast, but rational.
Why then they exploit us and cheat?
For us corruption covers them
under the umbrella of power to treat.

Here is no resort to take rest;
The lonely path lies ahead,and
I'm the lonely traveller on it
making my journey forward.

Come on my ways scenes natural:
lakes, forests, hills and vales.
Alive! Alive they are all
as I had heard in various tales.

A village perhaps is there
where leads me this path!
Yes, in this enchanted valley
there is at the centre of this earth.

Far form the noisy world, it is
amidst a calm and quiet atmosphere.
People are happy and of good nature.
Life is smooth and busy here.

It seems Paradise exists here.
Across it the lonely path lies further.
I'm the lonely traveller on it;
have to move through good and bad weather

to find out my own SELF, own nature,
like the path that itself differs
from place to place -- the most
vital lesson that it offers.

A SILENT SUNDAY LED TO A MERRY MONDAY

DIS HERE ONES FER YOU KID!

It intrigues me how people so easily can change their mind
people change misplaced anger into something suddenly kind
What the lady had said wasn’t proper nor was it called for
And no one ever wanted to put a woman in her place more

The lady seems candy type sweet but she can be lemon type tart
And then something or other dictates a dictum her heart
It must be, I imagine, that perhaps they misjudged me in the first place
And suddenly contrition turns them from gabardine into lace

Now I’m talking to you who didn’t have a right to insult me
But you got so angry over something I just couldn’t see
I was in a quandary with a query as to why you had done what you’d done
It was as if I were standing in front of you holding an Uzi machine gun

But now you’ve righted things as far as I’m concerned
Yet I don’t know if you were taught or if you really learned
You treated me as a lowly cockroach scurrying away from the light
Still I will live in hope you realize that what you did simply wasn’t right

all TOO soon I'll forget YOUR NAME

ALL TOO SOON I’LL FORGET YOUR NAME

Has anyone heard from the woman of words and winsome ways?
I haven’t heard from or about her for days
She’s the one who made six in the morning not seem too rough
And climbing out of bed didn’t seem quite as tough

Has anyone spoken to the lady who made me smile although it hurt?
She’s the one that made my personality seem not so curt
When we conversed it was as if a bird was home resting in his nest
And each of us was each other’s guest

Has anyone laid eyes on a lady who glows in the dark like the moon?
And makes the end of every evening sadly come too soon
It’s strange but not hearing from her is like a cup without some tea
And the only thing I’m petrified of is she might not give a damn about me

Has anyone read the words this woman spouts out with delight
Making the darkest of subjects suddenly seem bright
I know she’s very far from me but her writing was enough for me
And now six a.m. is tougher than it ever seemed to be

AL DI LA MY LOVE

AL DE LA MY LOVE

You and I had everything calculated and planned
We were just following fate and its every command
Two souls were going to find forever in an unexpected land
And neither of us would dare to defy destiny’s demand

We were supposed to last a lifetime together no matter what
That was this man and his lady’s predetermined plot
No one could rattle our teacups or shake up the place
Not as long as two lovers had the other’s embrace

I recall adding and subtracting and then reaching a perfect sum
We were sitting on a settee having biscuits and sharing one glass of rum
We shared everything including time, smiles and each other’s past
But simply because a person says “forever” doesn’t mean it will last

Because you hit a rocky road or a curve at too great a speed
You died and I didn’t believe death could be so easily decreed
We were acting in haste while all the time we thought, devised and planned and sadly together we will never find that forever’s clandestine land

Xmas card from a broad

She penned it by the water
deep within the fjord
folded into quarter
my Xmas card from a broad

She wished me joyful tidings
it struck a pleasant chord
I'll have to return the sentiment
my Xmas card from a broad

I'll send her sexy nightwear
the best I can afford
promise a future liaison
my Xmas card from a broad

But she's half my age and distant
and I can only thank the Lord
my prowess won't soon be put to test
my Xmas card from a broad

Lord let it rain

Whipping the master rites
still lightning high
unabashed solo
red freedom sky

Tamed by a jaguar
down on the plain
westerly wallow
the fevers engrained

When all thoughts of mercy
in deep foreign soil
ran hard in the corners
the sword and the foil

Served up like soup
the neighbor's disdain
damn with the fallout
Lord let it rain

Onwards into the Storm

Just as the willow
does not yield to the flood
nor fear the rains
spilling from the crags

nor does the tall pine
that severs the sky
fear the lightning shot
from the thunder ground

we shall not fear
this cursed pestilence
O! brave poets
of the corner

from whom the finest lyrics
are drawn from the rock
as did Arthur wield Excalibur
onwards into the storm my compatriots
