Hearts Queen takes stage loving you

Silver shines back one picture of a goddess
centre stage before the eyes enters soul to soul realm
standing purely hot blue flames ignite every gasp
breathing on a bed of roses sleeps beauty

The breath stops breathless apex splendour
within you precious jewels striking darkly haunting
princess happily kissing over and over sugar coated
heartbeats back skips with angel kisses

Warmly upon the throne sitting queen
dancing with shadows crowning moonbeams
cradle of love is where I capture your space
reserved only in my dreams of you

Temple of light I blow the softest kiss gently on wings
to embrace the altar of a soul's other half destiny sings
captured in space the greatest mystery of life
invades when you sit upon these knees

Purely joy angelic smiles looking into your eyes sparkles of starlight
on a blazing trail of magic dust always there I find thee
missing piece of the puzzle fits holding hands surely heaven here
in this world I have found in you this heart's treasure, be my Queen

As your heartbeats a pulse quickens through your fingertips
this heart is yours for keeps to go on forever
sure as the sunshine kisses morning dew
Your love inspires the one in a thousand dreams come true

i write 15 poems in a day and u bury THEM!!!!

NO FUTURE, NO FUN, ONLY FAILURE

Perhaps that’s bothers me most
Haunting and hunting for me as a ghost
She had to have known I’d end up injured
Yet ignored what I had suffered and endured

I put up with promises I knew were secretive dreams
I put up with wondering if the lady is what she seems
My second nature obviously beat the s**t out of my first
And not only that but second nature did its f*****g worst

She must have known my body, spirit and mind would fall apart
I have too much compassion and soul within my heart
So I provided what she needed with no price, bill or fee
But she had to have known the last man to do this to was me

So now I yearn to do all the things she knew I shouldn’t do
Like drinking and drugging myself half to death and that is nothing new
She’s comfy while I wish I were being welcomed into hell by it’s host
And perhaps that’s what bothers me most

Victory

Victory! Says pounding drums
Success! The trumpets blaze
Triumph! Soldiers march in time
As the masses craze
Elated with our conquest
Glinting off our guns
Enemies defeated
We thrill aloud as one
Shaking off our weary
Standing up our pride
Shooting down our fears
Forgetting all we’ve cried
The nations swell with goodwill
The anthem plays aloud
Those who fight for causes
Center every crowd
Our prayers have been answered
Our lives are whole once more
As, beaten back, the enemy
Cry trampled on their shores
An enemy of freedom
Of all that’s good and right
An enemy of opposites
Attempted scourge of light
They weep aloud at brothers lost
Of fathers dead and gone
We laugh as one at faceless foe
Cast villains in our songs
Their livelihoods go ruined
Their lands lay crisp and dead
The pride of countless ancestors
By bravery has bled
A holocaust of victory
Sweeps bloody cross the plains
Their purple mountains craters bloom
Smoke tops their amber waves
As ideas build a nation
So by ideals nations fall
When godless nations go to war
Corpses heed the call
Their men die standing shielding home
Or kinless cross the sea
They must suffer so we live
Says government’s decree
Anger boils through our veins
At injustice supposed
Anger boils as death abounds
And tears down all they’ve owned
Heaven’s light shines down on us
And fills up hist’ry’s page
We trifle not with subtleties
Unseal the Reaper’s rage!
Defeat! Howl widows reaved of hope
Destroyed! The people pain
Ruin! Senses cannot cope
And never will again

have you ever seen two slugs coppulate?

I MUST REMEMBER TO FORGET

I remember when you didn’t remember the time nor the place
I recall how you didn’t recall our first kiss and how it made your heart race
I know you’ve forgotten what you swore you’d never forget
And I know you didn’t know that I’ve loved you since the moment we first met

Simply to help your memory function well and be precise
You opined that if this is what forever is like you wanted a slice
Your words spoke softly of romance as well did your heart
And I’m certain you don’t recall promising to give me your all from the start

You can’t envision the first time I came into your vision
Or swearing to every god there is we will never suffer division
You swore we’d be one and never be done making each other’s heart race
Yet I remember our firsts of everything especially our first emphatic and embrionic embrace

You don’t understand that I still don’t understand why you had to go
I suppose to you our love became irrelevant and obsolete
that’s all I know
It’s sorrowful how fast a first can so easily become a last
And now years later all we are is part of each other’s past

Ekphrastic afternoon

while sitting at a local literary Louvre
with artists and some other radicals
waiting for return of grammatical groove
that had left me on today's sabbatical

I stumbled for some heartfelt words
to share with you of artistic notions
of whether art is abstract or more absurd
can it cure our ills with colourful potions

and quietly the souls walked the walls
of painted lands and many female forms
to search their own inspiration's calls
outside their box of artistic norms

macroed with micro muted brush lines
of sultry legs and strong countenance
whatever treasure is sought we will find
with some ingrained artful provenance

like Samuel Morse as student of masters
copied Da Vinci from the Parisian museum
hued new light on Mona Lisa to recast her
and express his own artistic freedom

we give out hope of showing of ourselves
that bit of soul our heart holds close
down new pathways that we delve
our hands stretch toward divine, almost

Equanimity

There is a state between happiness and sadness
That is a basic human emotion
It provides a relief from life's stresses
And stimulates a mode of deep reflection

To be happy all the time come what may
Is nothing other than a fallacy
So live your life as it unfolds each day
Be honest to yourself most sincerely

Face the good and bad with equanimity
Coping with the bad times may be tougher
Know that all things will pass eventually
And subsequently you will be stronger

Sailors In the Sky

Vultures on the wing high up in the sky
Careen in flight as they go sailing by
Tracing out patterns of vanishing lines
As they create most exquisite designs

Other birds like eagles, gulls and falcons
Also engage in such exhibitions
Viewing them gives a feeling of freedom
That transcends daily life's din and humdrum

With wings outstretched they effortlessly ride
Rising air currents that support their glide
With angled wings they dip down and then rise
Navigating their way up in the skies

In total mastery of flight they appear
Cavorting and floating up in the air
With the gracefulness of their flight on high
They are true avian sailors in the sky

About this poem:
Since I was a child, I have always admired the effortless gliding of vultures up in the sky.
Among other gliding birds listed are albatross, eagle, condor, stork, frigatebird and seagull.
It is a truly delightful to watch the marvellous gliding action of these birds way up in the sky as they ride the air currents.
This poem is dedicated to them: the genuine avian sailors in the sky.

(I have made some adjustments to the original to include some other gliding birds in the body of the piece).

Xmas card from a broad

She penned it by the water
deep within the fjord
folded into quarter
my Xmas card from a broad

She wished me joyful tidings
it struck a pleasant chord
I'll have to return the sentiment
my Xmas card from a broad

I'll send her sexy nightwear
the best I can afford
promise a future liaison
my Xmas card from a broad

But she's half my age and distant
and I can only thank the Lord
my prowess won't soon be put to test
my Xmas card from a broad

Aging

I want to write a poem
But I'm not sure if I should
It's about the process of aging
And the effects which are not so good

Anyway, here I go and
No matter what you may think
The time will come when
Your health will not be in the pink

Your skin will start to sag
And wrinkles will appear
It's a natural process
One which you should not fear

Your body joints which once had
A lot of flexibility
Will begin to tighten up
And cause you pain and anxiety

Your ability to focus
And to multi-task
Will weaken as you age
And become a thing of the past

You may find yourself asking
Did I do that or not?
For your sake I hope
That does not happen a lot

Some folks reading this may say
Such things will not happen to me
In response I say to you as you age
Let us just wait and see
