RE: Should special ed kids be in the same class with regular and gifted kids?

That may help explain why Germany is the only Western country not sinking in the chaos of financialisation(despite its EU obligation). If you manage people and guide them into the correct industries then you can balance your economy, but if you allow the talentless, misguided and naive dickheads have the run of the place then your economy defaults on funny money. The more Art, English and Law majors there are the more bankers there are, the more engineers and scientists there are the more wealth-creators there are. Success for the future depends on encouraging kids to choice difficult and unfashionable subjects.

But no you shouldn't mix kids with special needs in with the rest. The wisest thing to have is a remedial tier, a large standard tier, and then a gifted tier.

RE: Why does the Government offer incetives to Employers to hire illegals ofer Native-Born Americans?

Why would any nation chronically underemployed in a world where globalisation and technological change diminish the value of human capital by the day wish to import millions of cheap and easy labourers?

I know why Reagan called amnesty on the illegals because I can see why Far-Right capitalists would seek to drive down the value of labour to nothing. But to any American not a member of the far-right cartel/capitalist elite you'd be insane to call for amnesty. Be it social conscience or patriotism some reason should make you take the stand against the amnesty.

And if our society and economies ever right themselves, and there is a new surplus to be shared around, you can be damn sure that these profits will not be shared amongst a fractured and multicultural working class that can not stand as one because they are not one people. Mass immigration and the ethnic fractures and cultural chasms it causes are the #1 weapon bosses have against the workers.

And do the politically correct ever stop to consider the effect that mass emigration has on the foreign nation? No, these people are too busy feigning moral righteousness and pretending to know the world and all its culture when they clearly know nothing beyond their narrow, ideological horizons.

RE: Why does the Government offer incetives to Employers to hire illegals ofer Native-Born Americans?

This is what worries me about America's leftoids. You don't need to remind the Left elsewhere that the earth is a finite resource and society lives within limits and boundaries. The pie being finite is what underlies the argument against greed and the need for sharing.

But the American belief of the infinite pie, utter excess and knowing no boundaries is a disaster combined with the pathological altruism of leftoids. You will give away everything because you expect some godly force to re-supply you and your excesses. Just like your peers on the American Right(since Reagan), you expect money and opportunity to simply fall from the sky.

It's as if you've reverted to the frontier of an undiscovered country with all its potential, or still growing fat off the land and resources stolen from a native people, in any case you have to grow up and stop expecting to be endlessly provided for be it by the market or the state.

RE: Why does the Government offer incetives to Employers to hire illegals ofer Native-Born Americans?

Completely ridiculous argument that rests on the assumption of infinite resources and growth. You must believe that every job filled in the labour market creates an equal job somewhere else - which doesn't necessarily happen during the best of times/biggest of booms, let alone when times are hard.

Anyway, they can tax a job with or without making an American worker redundant. And the one redundant worker will cost America more than the taxes on one migrant wage.

RE: What's more important to you: pretty face or hot body

For something casual then it's all about the BOBFOC(Body Off Baywatch, Face Off Crimewatch).

Something more serious then you need to look deeper and think about the long game. You'll be looking at that face upwards of several times a day. He/She can lose weight, and think of the children, are you going to allow your children to inherit ugly face genes? This is very serious. Remember that most ugly bodies out there are not genetic, they're just lazy(or old).

RE: New stuff around the house...

How many Rohaans does it take to change a light bulb? Just one giving 110%

RE: Che Guevara prophecy.

Everything that Che Guevara was, and the reasons why people like him, are reasons why socialism doesn't work.

RE: What's the wisest thing anyone has ever told you?

I was told something of the opposite. "If you handle this now, every future problem will seem trivial". And she was right, unfortunately I now dismiss other peoples' problems as trivial unless they're absolutely diabolical.

RE: Will there ever be a time in the future of mankind with no wars?

If it wasn't for the news how would you know if there was a war on?

Western armies are 9/10ths insurance anyway, the security and protection for global trade supplying the consumer lifestyle. These armies stand willing to do violence on behalf of affluence, an affluence which dreams of pacifism.

RE: Jokes!!

Venison's dear, isn't it?

RE: All women are crazy

All women are mildly cretinous.

RE: Women in Ranger School fail to finish

They believe thin is in a lot more everywhere else in the world.

But yes you're correct, if a woman puts twice the effort into strength training as a man she might be able to lift two-thirds as much as him and pass the course. If we could only encourage more people to play to their weaknesses and put their worst feet forward the world just might be a worse place than it is.

RE: Bored and lonely

A diet and a makeover could help, but only together, don't just get a new fringe.

RE: sweet little lies

I find that I lie more often to other people when I have a woman in my life. The classic line being "sorry, lads, I can't come to the pub tonight because she won't let me out again" when the truth is I never even wanted to go to the pub.

Also lying to her friends, lying to her parents, lying to her co-workers, there's a whole range of people I pretend with once love obligates me to be to nice people who I don't like.

RE: What is your reason to live?

Drugs and shoes.

RE: Boat People

I personally see it as self-interest rather than a conspiracy against Europe. If the Arabs were educated, organised and proud they'd rebel(and succeed this time). Don't get me wrong I believe the Sheikhs would be very happy with the decline of Europe, but I don't think this is the thrust of their motivation.

And I also don't think they could rely on Europe falling, the penny is dropping already and history shows what Europeans do when the penny drops.

RE: Did Greed Overcome Humanity

Many years ago people Aleister Crowley and how they looked at the world were the reserve of awkward rich kids on the peripheral(another example is Ayn Rand) - they still are to some extent. But nowadays this "sociopathic and proud" mentality has seeped into the mass consciousness, particularly on the Right of politics, whereas "narcissistic and proud" underpins the Left because of all their moral posturing and lack of personal good deeds(e.g. 1960s counter-culture).

We can see in modern politics and ideology that greed and ego, of two differing forms, have been unleashed upon this world with a vengeance.

RE: Did Greed Overcome Humanity

Nobody humble would make such an audacious claim. The commercialisation of Christmas and Easter came after people lost the faith.

Anyway, the righteousness of the religious is ultimately subordinate to God or the Church or the religious community, whereas Atheist righteousness is by definition self-righteousness and nothing else - it's the ultimate self-cherishing thought process. It's certainly not humility and restraint that's arisen with the death of god, on the contrary, now more than ever people view themselves as gods and as such respect or serve no authority or moral restraint.

RE: Did Greed Overcome Humanity

Business is business and once business is taken care of people expect their share of pleasures, and some more than their share.

But greed comes in many forms as people don't all share the same appetite. Women and children usually have a greedy appetite for immediate happiness or feels reward - as opposed to appetite for pleasure and adventure more common to people with competitive/warrior genes - and there's no limit to instant gratification. Yes, this is a pettier form of greed but no less excessive and self-interested.

RE: Success???

Work smarter, not harder. You can be successful and relatively happy and not have to work like a Japanese prisoner of war. A little different to those around you along with a keen interest in how the world actually works makes it easy enough to spot the opportunities missed by the 99% lemmings.

RE: Anne Meara - RIP

I've no idea who she was but I'll offer my condolences seen as Terry Sue-Patt got so many condolences(for some strange reason)from transparent sad acts people who had no idea who he was.

RE: Love hurts

Love challenges people, perhaps for the first time in their lives, to go out on a limb and put someone else before you. The relationship is built on compassion and kindness for the other person in the trust that they return the same to you. Love is a risk and that's why it hurts as even the best relationships have rough patches.

You can avoid this risk in two ways: Solitude and narcissism; Being by yourself or loving yourself so much that nothing compares to you. I believe you're alluding to the latter and that's why you don't 'get' the gamble and the ability to forge meaningful connections with people which when stressed or broken hurt like nothing else ever could.

RE: what book are you reading now?

The plague, the fall, exile and the kingdom, and selected essays by Albert Camus.

As you can tell from the title the book is a festive romp filled with lots of lovable larger-than-life characters.

RE: Should Dental care be free?

In Britain dental care is either free or heavily subsidised. In the land of the NHS I believe it should be free at the point of use and funded by taxation - obviously not free for things like veneers and laser whitening.

Dentistry is not where I would have introduced fee-paying into the system as people don't make dentist appointments for fun, I would have made turning up to A & E injured and drunk or making frequent and unnecessary GP appointments cost because these people are dickheads deliberately draining our resources.

RE: North of England/ Scotland

We'd need to get out of the EU first because the Germans won't allow us to have factories and we'd need factories if any part of Britain was to break away from London.

What many people in the north(and south)and more people in Scotland don't seem to realise is the only reason they eat is because of gubment money derived from London's banks. If we are going to now bite the hand that feeds us then we need to start making things, making our own money, and paying for our own food. Scotland and the north east in particular have been charity cases for so long they've forgotten this.

RE: Is the world safer today, or when Saddam Hussein was in control of Iraq

The Arab region was safer with the Stalinists at the helm because this is the best option for government considering the very limited attributes of the Arab race. Assad, Gaddafi and Saddam are all better than the alternatives. We should have stuck to the devils we knew.

RE: Are taxes fair?

The young are the ones with gripe to grind on this issue. A Millennial will need to be twice as good as a Baby Boomer to get the same out of life, and yet we'll pay more tax.

Anyway, the fairest thing to do now would be to slash pensions and cut taxes for the young. No political party has a policy whereby taxes are levied on the poor to subsidise the plushy lives of the middle and rich, and yet this is exactly what's happening to the young.
