I've had sleep problems for years, due to working choppy shifts, and very long shifts. The over-night "graveyard" shifts were by far the very worst, so I am very, very familiar with this. Good luck
I am Woman, hear me roar, in numbers too big to ignore, And I know too much to go back and pretend 'Cause I've heard it all before, And I've been down there on the floor-- No one is ever going to keep me there again..
Oh yes, I am wise, but it's wisdom born of pain Yes, I've paid the price, but look how much I've gained If I have to, I can do anything-- I am strong I am invincible I am Woman
You can bend but never break me, 'Cause it only serves to make me More determined to achieve my final goal And I come back even stronger Not a novice any longer 'Cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul
I am Woman, watch me grow, See me standing toe to toe As I spread my loving arms across the land..
Well, I wasn't very nice to you the other day because I mistook your humor---so, it happens to the best of us. Communication is a fragile art, at best--here in The U.S. people earn Masters and PH.D's in "Communication". It's a wild animal, to say it succinctly. I just try to do and be the best I can, and if I fail or am mistaken, hey, I'm only a guy, not an angel. Right?
I can relate--I believe once we do or say something, often it can't be "fixed". Been there...guess just a good idea to take care with what we say, write, demonstrate, etc...kind of takes the wind out of the sails for us creative, spontaneous types, but the world is large.....on the other hand, and take this as learned experience--if and when things are just not gel'n, as the saying goes,,,,,I split. No use fizzling about when it's just not working......
Mega-blessings, lovie--know what? My mom is going to be 88 on her next birthday, and get this--she is STILL working (for pay) 32 hours a week {almost full-time} and it's highly technical/professional, finance, accounting.....wow!!
I really like beans--just a thought: Some older cookbooks recommend soaking dry beans in soda-water (use two tablespoons baking soda per quart of water). Ready-to-heat beans--cook just a little longer, when they "split" it releases some of the explosives.....
* The Progressos were on sale at Krogers--they're usually about 3 or 4 bucks per can. Celery a little higher than usual, tomatoes were priced fair. Frozen juices are way too high, jmo, but everything is going up!
Prunes are actually very good for you, and not necessarily problematic if you don't over-do it. Here's a dinner recipe, btw:
6 to 8 boneless skinless chicken thighs 8 to 10 prunes, split and pitted 2 teaspoons sugar sliced carrots, onions and a small box of frozen peas
brown the thighs quickly in hot oil (this seals in flavor and makes them very tender) line a glass baking dish, generously buttered, with the thighs. Place prune halves over them, dust the sugar, evenly spread the vegetables over the top. Bake 325 for about 40 minutes. Take out, sprinkle a sweet cheese - grated, over top, you can use Muenster or Brie, etc....cover with foil for 10 or so minutes. This "rests" the dish, and the flavor is over-the-top. The prunes add a unique, old world flavor to the dish.
Although I don't get out in evenings much, the bands here in Coos Bay are better than one might expect. ("Aurora", "Timberwolf"). I guess if you pay and hear a not so good band, tell the venue owner, or just watch the kiosks and don't go when they're playing... I hear what you're saying, btw....
This is true...I'm probably the worlds best opportunist--I find great deals. My co-op is only at 2/3 the going rate.....and it's a nice duplex. Yes, I'm a very fortunate guy...good to see you, btw....you handsome old booger..
footnote: In the small apartment and duplex buildings, here, the machines still take quarters, and the washer is generally $1.50-$2.00, and dryer $.50 to $.75.
