Assuming the menu prices are current, that cafe is VERY economical. Across the board, our breakfasts are about 20% higher here in Oregon. Portland is especially high-priced. We do not, however, have a sales tax. But still, your cafe is very fair priced.
Heart of Gold (Neil Young) Don Quixote (Gordon Lightfoot) The October Winds (Clancy/Makem) The Parting Glass (Clancy/Makem) High Hills and Mountains (Jean Ritchie) Jolene (Dolly Parton)
That was a very well-thought-out way of clarifying. It does seem that I, and a handful of others, didn’t understand at first. Thanks for taking time to be more specific.
I did not come to a conclusion. You did. Ask the club. I’m trying to be kind here, but if you’re going to keep stepping in it and not learning anything, I’ll move on…no problem. It’s chill…
For the longest time I didn’t post a pic. I fully support anyone’s decision to not do so. I don’t find it making a difference in communication. Think about reading a book— do we know what the waitress in “The Grapes of Wrath” really ‘looks’ like, or what Rhett Butler in “Gone With The Wind” really looks like? No, but we imagine, and it doesn’t make the story any less interesting or valued. If somebody makes a decision to show or not show a pic, and there are valid reasons, respect their decision.
I would really like to meet a nice guy because of CS, but I agree that it’s just too darn difficult to know or tell who is a scammer and who’s not. I guess the “asking for money or travel fare/tickets” is a give-a-way….you’d think most people would know that…
Look at it like this: Technology best utilized is a comfortable, old shoe, or a really neat quilt. You use them when you want to, but can easily set them aside for a bit.
It is extreme irony to be allowing technology to dictate. It should be a tool, not a mandate. I realize many might see it differently, but I am not swayed about being correct about this universal scam of technology. (I’m not saying all the media is wrong……and technology is great, but be aware.)
Ive started to do similar- i “change out” pictures from time to time, and a few smaller antiques and collectibles. I’m working on it! Would you believe, with all the neat things I have, there’s not anything I truly want to part with!
I guess we have to be there for the ones who do recognize and support us. I find The Prayer of Saint Francis a helpful tool to review from time to time.
Thank you dearie, you are always so nice to me. I appreciate the time you take to read and validate and/ or give other points of view. You have tact. (I know I went off a bit…gee, you’d think after all this time I’d be rested up… )
There have been survivors of catastrophes on talk shows that say losing most or all of their things was “actually a relief”. The responsibility of not wanting, or being unsure, of what to declutter, is decided. I get this…
Oh my bad…”Personality Affective Disorder”. (My mind was thinking one thing and my stylus writing another—) is there a term for that, Jac? Wasn’t my strong point in college— I’m a Biology major—- ask me about Taxonomy, Durable and Solid Chordata, etc…
Well, Pedro, sure. But, sometimes families don’t always land on the same page. And, when we accept Our Savior, we become partakers in a family. We are the legally adopted children of God. He understands what’s groovy and what isn’t. Trust me. Last night, I was meditating, praying, etc…but out of the blue an old man with a leaky faucet insisted I ameliorate the plumbing situation, and my mind and spirit protested the summons, but my body capitulated and met the old plumber’s adamant request.
Hold yer britches and tighten your knickers, cowgirl—One can most certainly have autism and a personality disorder. I’m in this for Forty Years now. It can and does happen. Not always. Now, GENTLY and SLOWLY peel that bandaid off— ( or are you the type who likes to just rip it quick—you know—intense pain, but only for a moment?)
Hi— I have a microwave oven, and do use it, but not that much. Did you know that m.ovens don’t cook food thoroughly? There are many concerns about heating poorly, because it’s water molecules that are heated, and these are unevenly distributed in many foods. It is believed by many professional home economists that harmful bacteria, both flora and fauna, are not destroyed. Just my two bits…
Patients need to belly up to the bar. Call the physician on his or her condescending. Adamantly. I’ve told at least two physicians this: “Be quiet a minute and hear me. Of all your possible resources, I’m the best you have. Your study guides say so, and you know it. I AM a member of the medical team. In fact, I’m on the top rung. I’m the CLIENT. Don’t patronize me. I don’t work for you, YOU work for ME.”
In both instances they did an about-face, apologized, and thanked me for reminding them of the “better way and fine-tuning” of bedside manner. Do not be afraid to advocate for yourself. I currently have ( for 14 years) the best doctor this side of the Atlantic. He is absolutely TOP-SHELF. He knows how to be a physician. Don’t settle for crap. Insist on being fully validated.
