$Well, Kemchi, now you just HAVE to marry the guy so he can get his liquid inheritance out of that country ..... Benin? Where`s that? Sounds like a desert somewhere.

Ask him if he has any goats and camels. Say you`ll marry him if he brings over at least 20 goats and 10 camels of which at least one should be a male so you can breed them. One male goat and one male camel. Or two. But two males may fight, so it will be easier with only one, as long as they are healthy and breedable!

Oh... did I accidentally and completely innocently stumble on a Maltese word?

Okay, so what other good word begins with a "Z"? ..ZAMBA? name of that new excercise dance...? So then new name for the new political party could be ........ "Blüdy Outstanding Zamba Organisation"? (The "ü" is a nice umlaut thingy that gives the same sound as that harsh swear word that would`nt look nice in our advertising brochures)

I had to do the Christmas thing when I had little kids ....... cause all the little kids expect something special at that time.
But now that I`m grown up - sort-of - I try to stay out of it all.

One nice thing about being a Granny is that .... ahem ..... we make things for people.

If anyone wants to know what a Zizza is ...... it`s the name of a very rare bird that used to inhabit the Island of Gozo, but it became endangered when everyone trapped all the wild birds to put them in tiny cages, and eventually it died out completely. And so, henceforth, under our New Leadership, anyone trapping wild birds will be flogged on Saturdays in the square, and then deported to Italy.

I was contemplating giving the money to an Animal Shelter ... but then worked out that what I spend on Christmas gifts is so little it would not be worth their paperwork!

Everyone gets just a small token gift, from me. I do not believe in huge cluttery gifts at Christmas time. When I know what a person is wanting and I find it anytime in the year I present them with that gift. But not at Christmas time - this is just a time for family gatherings and appreciation of each other.

I actually know nothing, absolutely nothing, about all these modern day Gizmos! But I`m sure it must be? All I know is that I`m told it is available as an "eBook" ...... Kindle, Womble, Kobo ...... they all do the same job huh?

I must say this ..... this first book is okay, but the sequel is even better! And then I think there is a 3rd in the pipeline, to make a Trilogy....... (Happy Christmas)

Even though my profile here says I am not looking for anyone anymore and that I`m only here for the Forums - I still get the odd mail or flower, and I usually reply with a Thank you - except the mails that show the person has most definitely NOT read my profile ... hahahaaaa .. they say "I loved your profile and you are the perfect person for me blah blah blah" (scammer) If they had read it, or even looked at it, they`d see that I have a very nice partner - there`s even a photo of us dancing together!

So, yes, in European manners, a polite response is normal, I think.

Could run the little island on the same lines as Monaco ....... I`ll be the Queen, and you can be the Vice Chancellor - we build a castle, and have motor racing thru the streets on weekends. A couple Casinos. And being part of the EU we can let the Island go bankrupt and get more money from all the other EU countries, so the island will be self-perpetuating, and no-one would have to actually do any work!

Satans DNA? I prefer to liken them to Reptiles. Seems there are a lot of folk who have not progressed past that reptilian phase of evolution.

They are cold-blooded types, although classified as "Mammals"/Humans, but seem to have retained pre-historic reptilian qualities ..... they can "eat you up" without batting an eyelid. I think the modern day Psychiatrists classify them as "Sociopaths"? People who lie, and then believe their own lies.

Aaahhh, yes, Garry "Ravioli" (He got that name cause he`s too busy working to cook anymore so eats out of a can) .... he`s persevering, playing more Gigs, recording CD`s, practicing all the time .... doing what he can to make his dream come true ...... before he gets too old!

Well, that was Friday, and today is Monday ... so yes .... I been roaming the Gloaming, and bumping into things on the way, except I still cannot find the house I bumped into after a party in the pub - it seems to have vanished - I searched all weekend but it is definitely not anywhere to be found! I remember it was on the downhill side of the parked car in its driveway, and that it had a nice lawn growing right up to the house wall ..... we spend some time lying there attempting to arise and wend our way homeward .... while laughing at such a stupid place to build a house .... right in the pathway of our homeward stagger!

I guess I will just have to repeat the process, drink the exact same amount of beers, and then walk the same route ... and maybe the house will be back where it was last time?

I`d recommend South Africa as a good place to get into politics - if your skin is not too white that is.

There you get to us the military jets to send your family members over to Dubai to do their Christmas shopping - and the tax payers pay the fuel bill, and the pilots salary, and all the other costs of jet maintenance, without the usual hang-ups of owning your own jet!

Yes, the Mercs and Jaguars and BMW`s are standard - except you also get to be able to afford sporty jobs like Lamborginis/Maseratis/Ferraris for your teenagers while they attend University (not to actually study but just to look cool in their designer outfits, and hang out in up-market coffee shops in elitist areas when they get bored with lectures)

Ja, I`d say Politics is a very good career - better than being a Barmaid.

I`m afraid I disagree with the highlighted part above in your posting .... there are no scum .... there are only those who have not been enlightened.

You don`t have to like what people do and say, you just have to like the person, without judging them. Remember those famous words? "Forgive them, for they know not what they do".

If we judge others, then by that same measure we will be judged.

In the World Wars in POW camps, prisoners would gather together little scraps of food and share it with everyone equally, as a symbol of Grace. But if one does not aspire to this Grace, then that`s fine too. As long as one is happy with oneself?

Ahhhh I just read that, and it sounds like the Fassnacht celebrations they do in Germany! That is all about the Goblins and other scary creatures that come out of the earth in the forests and come into the towns! So all the people dress up in awful outfits with scary faces and they have festivals in the streets, with "Gugga Bands" playing .... wild music, no songs, just drums and cymbols and lots of rythm, and everyone gets drunk for a week!
