speaking of God...and what about forgiveness
I had a friend a few years back that told me he was seeing this woman. This woman was a Christian and cheated on her husband countless times, eventually divorced, she lied, she stole, she dated men after men after men, cheating on countless boyfriends. My friend asked her, aren't you a Christian? What do you think God will think of this? Her reply was, the Bible says he will forgive me.Happy Friday/Saturday all
Thanks Jim.

Don't sleep...
Thank you for the additional information with Buddhist. I have read about where there was an Eastern religion that believed that the soul picked the body they wanted to enter at conception and I knew about reincarnation. But, I didn't know about one's past life reflecting on one's current life and I didn't know the details about the path of enlightenment.
I was beginning to believe that people are going to be the way they are...for the most part...most people, I think, do not know how to change....or believe they don't need to change. In most cases, they really don't need to change...and they are fine upstanding citizens. But, there are some out there that just seem to not want to learn from mistakes...they don't see mistakes as mistakes to learn from...some see mistakes as failures to justify a negative self image....
anyway....those just some examples I have noticed....there are as many personalities out there as there is people.
I was thinking that one's personality may have been tied into astrology. With what you are saying...there might be something to astrology then. Meaning, people are born with a predisposed personality.
Thank you for sharing your post. I enjoyed reading it and found it informative.
you and that woman's...nice Robert...she is an artistic lover.
Give her everything you got.
Watch out for those loose women.
Write this down, Lions vs Raiders in the championship.
If the perspective of many lives, (and re-births) is considered; then Buddhists say; that any particular individual's basic "essence", (or "inner nature"), does not change, (essentially), over many lifetimes.
To put that another way; one's basic personality (what makes you, you, as an individual); does not change, (essentially), over many karmic re-births.
I heard something about the XFL coming back. Yeah, that might be an alternative to the NFL...and the way things seem to be somewhat rigged. As far as your Lion/Raiders prediction..you must be talking about that happening in some sort of alternative universe.
Thank you for that.
Come to think of it, from my recollection, about enlightenment...we are put back on this Earth to learn from past life errors. But with that, I would have suspected that we would experience many different life situations/environments/personalities until we became this ...I hesitate to say all knowing...but, we become this better, more mature, being.
About reincarnation, I remember a blog on here talking about that. One thing was mentioned, in a past life if you were a mean person, you may suffer unjustly in your next life. Certainly, a connection between past lives and current lives.
From what you are saying, it is that essence that remains fairly constant...according to the Buddhist. Hmm, I am going to start paying attention to that.
That essence you speak of, Manly P. Hall wrote a book, Philosophy of Astrology, where he attempts to explain that....about the energy that the universe has, given the alignment of the suns/planets/moons....and the time in which we are born.
Good stuff...and again, thank you for sharing it.
