Puffy ankles

Boring and unglamorous subject, yes, but blast it, a real problem. I sit at a computer most of the day, and in summer, even cold days, my ankles puff up. very mad I start every day with ankles like a racehorse and end it with shirehorse fetlocks.

I'm up and down the whole time getting coffee, I walk the dog every day, and I do a dance routine to keep fit at least 4 times a week, so it isn't lack of exercise. Same routine, winter and summer, why does it only happen in summer, and can anyone tell me how to stop it happening?

Health is a everlasting topic.

I have done better in my health. Even a small issue, but indeed a big trouble. i have been taking the bitterest herbs. I could never forget the taste. I cooked some pears tea, with Gochee, chrysanthimum, and some Guiyuan ,similar as \lychee,some ginseng, and \i chopped some apple in. I have very good taste fruit tea. As \i am taking herbs, so \i could not drink tea. So \i make the fruit tea instead.

I saw some cherries the other day, just didn't bother to buy,but today when i went there, they don't have cherries anymore.

I again did a bit exercises. NOw it is hot in emirates, so I sweat all over.i do enjoy being able to do exercises. I want to be lazy,so I try to make myself exercise.

your health is priceless

makeup, underarm rollons/sprays,full body lotions, creams, shampoos, hair dyes, hair gel, shower gel, talcum powder, toothpaste, aftershave, perfumes, something for everyone, yet do you ever wonder what happens when you put these products on your skin?well it ends up in your blood stream, and the problem with that is many of the product ingrediance are toxic and carcinogen.

i dont think many people even think about this after all we all want to look feel and smell good.
unless your using a natural sun cream your more likely to get cancer from the cream than the sun.

most woman love makeup and why not,but regular users can use up to 5lbs a year, thats alot of toxins, even shampoos are tested and recognised as toxic and cacinogen.

so whats the answer?
keep it as natural as possible, and be aware of what you put on your skin, your health is priceless so keep away from harmful products

keep it real, sickness is not cheap, stay healthy..

real foods

years ago people ate real foods, there was no other choices, and that was just fine, because they were eating the best foods available including fresh meat, fowl, fish/shellfish,fruits,veg,nuts,seeds,grains,and spices, and lived to a ripe old age without the health issues you have today, these foods are still available of course, but the choices of foods now are vast.

The big food companies will say they cant supply enough fresh foods to meet demand, and can only feed the world with technology,so what does that technology give you?
processed foods with sell by dates you dont need to remember, walk in any supermarket or grocery store and there they are, stacked neatly on the shelves,a vast assortment of colors and packaging full of chemicals, preservatives, colors, flavours, salt, sugar,to name just a few.

processed foods consumed at home, work, school, anywhere, because you have the convenience factor and anyway it tastes good.
vending machines,hamburger/hotdog stalls, macdonalds, wendys, burger king, kfc, chippies, chinese take aways etc,are all waiting to feed you with technology.
depleted soils, chemical cattle, pesticide sprays, battery hens, polluted oceans and air,the list goes on,its just as well the body is a wonderful machine with vital body organs capable of living past 150yrs.

The power of real food is and always has been the best option for the human body, along side exercise and between 7/9 hrs sleep a night.
80% of your immune system is in your intestines, the command centre of your body, everything starts here, the digestion the distibution of your consumed foods, the goodness or badness of the foods.
keeping your immune system in top shape will counter just about anything that comes your way,its when your immune system is faltering you start to connect with health problems.

How about the big C,get cancer and keep the big drug companies in business and the doctors in pocket,if only there was a cure?
cancer is worth billions each year and yet no cure?so is it better to treat the cancer rather than cure it to keep the money rolling in?OH YES.

so is there really a cure for cancer?OH YES AS LONG AS YOU STAY AWAY FROM YOUR CONVENTIONAL DOCTOR.
A well maintained engine seviced every few thousand miles can last a lifetime, your body needs to be serviced every single day with the right foods and drink
consuming organic power foods to make you strong and avoiding processed foods, fried foods, and sugary drinks.
creating and sustaining an immune system that will stop sickness.
maintaining a healthy lifestyle with exercise will strenthen your heart

Do you know whats in your food?do you even care as long it taste good,do you read food labels and understand them, real food dosent even need a label, what you get is real ingrediants, nothing added.
do you use a juicer?organic juices and smoothies are so important to good health, you will see and feel the differance

Do you go to the gym, work out and yet struggle to see any differance, cant shift the weight?cant add muscle?taking supplements?
heres what to avoid to make gains.
the biggest mistake gym users use is to much weight, when your to heavy you cant control the weight, and likely to injure yourself, not controlling the weight is next,i see it all the time,to perform proper reps/sets you must control the weight at all times, that way your breaking down the muscles, with no control your not hitting the muscles properly.

2hr workouts,long chats,no water,no protein/food,avoid this.
depending on your workout programe 30/45 mins is usually long enough for your workout, and keep a notebook and write it all down, your rep range, your weight, your sets, your body part, dont rely on memory.

In life, when I was in a low time, Iset a target, and the number encourages me that Ihave done my target. Maybe this is life, when we are low,the little things can encourage us!

On reflection.....

17 years ago my son was born, I couldn't have kids in the normal way so had to have IVF. If I'm totally honest, i didn't want kids, as I was content with my life, my hobbies, never felt the need.

Of course women are different, they, well the majority, need them to fulfill their lives. June 25th 1998 my son Louis was born, and of course, I never say I wished I hadn't had him, the shear emotional feeling you get when your first child is born is an overwhelming felling of protection.

Recently there was a blog about the word sluts, and a story of how the dad congratulated his son for getting his nuts wet !!..and of course, if it was our daughter, we would have reacted differently.

7th of April 2007 my daughter was born, Lucy, now aged 8. The thing is she was not IVF, and as I found out 18 months after she was born she was not of my blood. You see my ex wife, after we tried 5 times for IVF again and failed, decided she wanted one by hook or by crook, so she had an affair got pregnant and passed Lucy off as mine.

I was always suspicious about her and eventually did my own DNA. It took me 2 years and a lot of soul searching to get over that, and finally in January this year, I allowed her to be adopted by her now step dad.

I've never had any contact at all with her since 2009. As I'm turning 50 this year, and hoping I get to a ripe old age, I have been reflecting, as you do in certain circumstances. My son is one of those boys that will disappear and make his own life, only ever contacting me when he wants something, but a good lad all the same. But as Ive seen Daughters with their dads over time, I now know I miss not having a daughter more and more.

Daughter are girls, women, compassionate, sensitive, caring and become mums, mums never stop being mums. The dad daughter relationship is different than it is with sons. There is always this sense of protection throughout there lives. I watch the way they play, how their imagination and creativity is at a young age.

As we have read, recently the awful story of the indian Daughter and how women are seen in certain countries, it just makes my blood boil. Yes men go out to work, are the hunters while women are the gatherers, yet i find it so distressing when men treat women in such an appalling way, if they really knew what joy a daughter can give in terms of love and affection, caring to everyone and anything, the world would be a better place.

So for the dads that have daughters, i'm sure you know what i mean.

I will never have the chance to walk my daughter down the aisle, see her on her happiest day, and give her away to what I would hope, to a man that could give her, what she gives in return.

Time is a good healer, but with it comes age,and reflection.

Anorexic Identical Twins and Male Anorexia

Embedded image from another site

Maria and Katy Campbell, identical twins, can recall the life-changing statement their father made, that would forever alter the course of their lives. They were only 11 years old, when they overheard their father tell their mother, “Gosh, those girls are becoming young women, aren’t they? They’re getting hips.”
The twins, now 33 years old, decided that very day to stop eating in order to lose their blossoming hips…

Maria and Katy have spent the last 20 years of their lives, attempting to “punish” their parents for the remark their father made, so many years ago. Obviously, these women have severe mental issues along with their anorexia.
The twins have preternaturally childish bodies and voices. The illness causes their hair to fall out in clumps. Maria is 5’5” and weighs 87lbs and her sister, Katy is the same height, but weighs 70lbs. Neither twin has even started their period yet, because their body weight was never enough to support one.

The twins say they feel like the anorexia has imprisoned them.
Katy states, ‘I can’t walk any more. My back hurts, my heartbeat is irregular, I’ve got osteoporosis, chronic gastric pain and pancreatitis. I’m on diuretics because my kidneys don’t work.

‘Katy and I began to resent Mum because she was so slim,’ says Maria. ‘We looked up to her as a role model and felt we came up short.’
‘Maria started keeping a food diary and would jot down everything we ate, our weight and how much exercise we’d done. We started skipping breakfast and exercising fanatically, doing 50 lengths of the pool in the morning and gymnastics after school.

‘We had a system where we’d starve ourselves for six days, only eating 400 calories precisely a day — ten pieces of pic ’n’ mix, an orange, a banana and a diet cola,’ says Katy. ‘Then, on the final day, we’d eat anything and everything we could get our hands on — bread, pasta, crisps, cakes.’
‘When we were 15, Mum noticed we were losing weight, but we brushed her off. She began to sit with us during supper — but one of us would distract her while the other put food up their sleeves.’

Despite the illness, both girls gained excellent grades at GCSE and A-level and were accepted into medical school at the Royal Free Hospital in London.

Maria explains: ‘We were having just one cup of coffee and a packet of chocolate buttons a day, and Katy had lost a lot of weight. So we were called in and told that she would have to go to hospital to recover.
‘I remember one of the doctors saying they had noticed I had lost weight, too, but that my weight loss wasn’t quite as bad as Katy’s.
‘Rather than be relieved, I thought: “No one is going to say that Katy is better than me at something.” It was a trigger for me losing another 2st.’
Because of this deadly competitive streak, the girls were sent to different hospitals in London in the hope they would not be able to encourage each other’s weight loss.

‘We were force-fed 3,000 calories a day through tubes,’ says Maria. ‘We were not allowed any contact with each other, but we got around that by writing letters under pseudonyms and getting friends to pass them on. We also managed to get hold of mobile phones and hid them in cupboards.
‘It was the first time I had been apart from Katy and we were both in pieces. It’s hard enough being forced to eat, but I hated being without my sister.

Incredibly, they both graduated from medical school in 2009 and are now qualified doctors.
