I want a day off for Christmas
Only a day off will do
Don't want a dog or dinky tinker toy
I want a day off to play and enjoy
I want a day off for Christmas
Only a day off will do
Mom says a day off won't pay the bills
I'll just do free activities
Like video games and watching movies
I can see me now on Christmas morning
Well rested up
Oh a joy and what suprise when I open up my eyes
And see nine days of vacation off in a row
I want a day off for Christmas
Only a day off will do
No mean bosses, coworkers, and bad working conditions
I only want a day off work
To play and enjoy
And a day off work wants me too!

About this poem:
Looking forward to the holiday breaks I am going to get starting with deer hunting weekend, four days for Thanksgiving, and nine days off for Christmas. I was so happy I got yesterday off as I have worked about 20 Saturdays since I started working in April. This is a parody of I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas.

It’s Coming the Day is Near!
The scary sound of a haunting Ghost
Goblin screams to see who could scream the loudest
A Witch on her broom stick Doth flies by
The heavens darken, lightening strikes across the sky
The floor woodworks squeaks
Here comes the Ghost …It’s … You … it seeks
The Door creaks open he’s there for you
You shiver underneath the sheets
Your lips are starting … to turn blue
I think he has seen you hiding there
He touches you with bony hand
Red Blotches appear where fingers touched
Oh! My God it’s blood that gooey stuff
The clock strikes 12, away you run
He’s after you, now ain’t that fun
Now Father Death is chasing you
Where should you hide, you don’t have a clue
A Ghostly figure wears his head upside down
You don’t think it so funny, it’s no time to clown
His livid eerie eyes peeks at you
OH! My God what should you do?
He chases you down the hall
You trip and down the stairs you fall
Ghostly screams and ringing of your bell
You think he is ready to take you to that place called hell
Put away your gun my dear
A sigh of relief
It’s your kids, Treat or Treat
It’s only Halloween … saved by Hershey’s candy!

It was build by the government
It is a metal cube 25 by 25 by 25 rooms
Each room is about 12 feet by 12 feet by 12 feet
You wake up in this thing not knowing how you got there
You try to get out before you starve as there is no food or drink
Some rooms are safe
Others are not
Some rooms will dice you up
Some rooms have acid that will spray at you
Others have spikes that will go through you
Most rooms traps are triggered by movement
Some are triggered by sound
You better have a boot and a long string to test the rooms
Before you enter them
Why would the government build this monster of metal?
Why does the government do a lot of things it does?
Your tax dollars hard at work
Hardly!

About this poem:
I just got done watching the Cube, Hypercube, and Cube Zero. All are good movies with the first and the last being the better ones. With our government shutdown and just the not niceness that goes on there this movie really fits into the Halloween season.

T'is the time of year when things do go bump in the night
a time when witches come back to life ready to snatch a child
to boil up in their evil cauldron that walks and even can talk
oh the vile stories it could tell of potions made from their flesh
A time when the dead rise up and for a few hours rule the world
Stay inside if you wish to be safe, don't venture out if you are wise
pumpkins with evil grins spring to life searching for the unwary
giant blood sucking bats fly through the thick air on silent wings
Cap all this with wicked wizards and spotted poisonous toads
scarecrows gleefully join in the mayhem of this most foul of nights
don't venture out if you care for your soul for it will be snatched
and will leave you rotting in an eternal Halloween for all your days

Birthdays come and go at times it
seems without even being represented.
Therefore i wanted to take this
time to say may this one bring
you joy like you have never seen.
May all your dreams come true for
you and the family too.
For you have always inspired my
family in a way that gets us
through the days.
May this celebration be one of
contentment and possitivity.
I leave you with this my sister
may all your doors you knock on
be opened up.
May all your days be days be
filled with joy.
May God continue to be by your
side as he is your guide.

I saw you one night,
thought it was the real you,
it doesn't matter now
either way I'm still alone...
Then we touched palms,
each of us gave
a sensual map of our world,
clasping to the end of time...
The ensuing darkness,
you were the rabbit at the dog track,
elusive and deceptive
running around in circles...
Sleep only teases,
flame of unlit candle,
surreal dreams of love
became a matchstick dipped in water...
To survive, I said "I love you."
you said, "I love you too."
Perhaps just a culling song,
the deadliest of lullabies...
Separated by the hours of darkness,
the ceiling becomes the pale sky,
you milked the moonless night,
I became the crow fettered in rain...
Wordless and timeless the death of daylight,
thrown into an existence of love,
all with the ambiguity of Kirkegaard,
two saddled horses taken to a dry pond...
In this chapter of life and love,
you killed the romantic hero,
in the very first pages,
the destruction of I and thou...
There once was a love poem,
before the grass grew brown and withered,
the longing has not diminished,
just flowers and rainbows mixed with blackened storm clouds...

A mother is there for you
to lift you up.
A mother is there for you
in time of need.
A mother is there for you
in happy and sad times.
A mother is there for you
to rejoice in all you do.
A mother is there for you
no matter what you say.
A mother is there for you
each and every day.
A mother is there for you
a. l. w. a. y. s.
A mother will not leave your
side she is your guide.
A mother may not be blood bonded
yet one you chose for your own.
A mother of chose not by birth.
A mother so special God chose
her to be there for you.
May you look to God to say
thank you father for giving
me a mother like thee.

I know what you want
You want my gold coins
My little darlings!
The 100 gold coins I have in my pot
Well, you can't have any of them!
If you steal one of my coins you can make a wish
Any wish you want will be granted
Except for one
A Leprechaun's charm can do him no harm
If you want to destroy me you have to destroy my gold
But I know you are too greedy to do the right thing
That will be your doom!
Another thing that can protect you if you decide to steal me gold
A four leaf clover
Good luck finding one
Only one exists for every 10,000 clover
Stay away from the end of a rainbow and my gold
That's my opinion
What do you think?

About this poem:
I based this on the Leprechaun movies. Leprechaun 3 is my favorite. He goes to Las Vegas. He has some funny quotes. "This town is full of riches, I'll rip them off, those nasty sons-a-b#$%@es!"
