Life is Festival

Life is a festival, celebrate and drink
Spirit and Nature, dance in sync
Melancholy of laughter, make you pink
Keep gazing beauty, do not blink
Pairs of organ, want to think
If one fails, you not on brink

Light some candles, lamps and incense
Play colour, fly kites and reminiscence
Cricket, Hockey, Baseball, Football
Round and rolling, hit the goal

Go someplace never been before
Meet someone never seen Amor
Ice cream' best in wafel cone
Be adventurous, out of comfort zone
Seats get vacant when people leave
Switch your position, to know more!!

I Saw Santa Eating Children

Wow!
Santa's eating children
I saw Santa eating children
Underneath the mistletoe last night
He didn't see me creep
Down the stairs to have a peep
He thought that I was tucked up in my bedroom fast asleep
Then I saw Santa whipping children
With the birch branches so snowy white
Oh, what a laugh it would have been
If Daddy had only seen Santa eating children last night
I did!
I really did see Santa eating children and I'm gonna tell my Dad
Well much to my suprise
I couldn't believe my eyes
It wasn't Santa after all but Krampus in disguise
But I saw Santa eating children underneath the mistletoe last night
Oh, what a laugh it would have been
If I had really seen Santa eating children last night

About this poem:
Krampus is Christmas figure from German folklore that comes to whip bad children and eat really bad children. He takes the really bad ones and puts them in the basket he wears on his back.

Lost In Translation

In a simple structure that animals were fed and sheltered from any storm
It's remarkable, and so amazing that the saviour of the world was also born
As we exchange presents and travel, too family to carol and make mirth
Let's remember that the occassion, really is to celebrate his birth.

About this poem:
Sometimes we become so intent on getting our children that special present, or stressing over financial burdens
directly caused by our expenditures during this season that we lose sight of what we're actually celebrating.

Ground Hog Day and a Blue Moon

One sees his shadow
One gets a shadow cast on him
The man in the moon and a ground hog named Puxatony Phil
Sometimes he doesn't see his shadow
But the moon always gets a shadow on a lunar eclipse
Sometimes it's just a little bit
Sometimes the whole moon gets a shadow
Then it looks like a blood moon
With all the global warming
I bet Phil gets lucky this year
And sees his shadow
We already have 40s in January
Have you see the movie Groundhog Day?
It's a hoot!

Message from Santa

If it were in my powers,
I would bring peace and love,
To this world of ours
But I don't have magic enough,
I can cross the sky,
and pass by the stars,
But I can't seem to stop,
Any of hatred's wars,
I see children on the street,
With no hope left,
in the eyes.
So many homeless people
with no where to sleep.
And my heart cries.
I can't give the things they need,
Oh But God I would try.
I'm only a fantasy,
that once took wings to fly,
Some are deceived,
by the gifts that money can buy,
But those who truly believe,
see the gift with the heart,
not with the eye,
I sometime stop and go to my knees,
and pause,
and I too always pray,
That we will find a end to wars,
and live in peace one day.
For all those who believe in me,
I will continue my cause,
Across the stars,
over the wars,
On Christmas Eve,
For the hearts that still believe,
In Santa Claus

Planes Trains and Automobiles Retold

In this movie Neal Page meets Del Griffith on his way back to Chicago
Del is a big help getting him his own room at a fancy hotel with good towels
He gets a nice free meal from Del the following morning
Then they get a ride in a nice warm truck to a nice train
The train has a mishap, but are shuttled to an even nicer bus
After Neal sings a song everybody loves, they get a nice car from a nice lady
They drive the car without any problems and share another motel room
There they share stories of their wives who are both alive and well
Neal invites Del back to his house where they have a Thanksgiving meal
Later Del's wife shows up and loves the Neal Page's family
Del Griffith's family soon move next door and look forward to many more
Thanksgivings with his new best friend
The End

Christmas Tree Ornament

I bought another Christmas tree ornament
It's from the movie National Lampoon's Vacation
It is Marty Moose saying
Sorry folks
We're closed for two weeks to clean and repair Americas favorite family fun park
Sorry!
HuHu HuHu HuHu
The one I bought last year has Clark standing next to some luggage
With his Marty Moose hat on
The family is singing
Who's the moosiest moose we know
Marty Moose
Who's the star of our favorite show
Marty Moose
M is for merry, we're merry you see
O oh gosh, o golly o gee
S is for super star family glee
E is for everything we want to be
M A R T Y
M O O S E
What does that spell?
Marty Moose Marty Moose Marty Moose!
Yuk! That's Me! Huhuhuhu!

About this poem:
These are my first ornaments that have sound. I get one every year. In 2012 when I was out of work I found a picture ornament in the trash. I have an ornament from a student when I taught for two years. Some I got at an auction of my parents stuff, they date from the 60s. I have two I made in school around the second grade in 1976.

2024 New Year's Wish

May the tickboxes in your wishlist
be greatly reduced this coming new year...
May it be more bountiful
with what is genuinely best for you,
as your wellbeing is
precious & most dear ...
And may your life be in an even better place
with whoever & wherever
towards your destiny
the winds of fate will steer ....
All these and more,
I wish for you ... with intentions
wellmeant ... heartfelt ... and sincere ...

You Are Never Alone!

You are never alone
Because if you think you are alone
You must have enemies
Your enemies are always there for you
And your friends are not.

Ok, you feel better now? What. you dont. Oh well. I guess i screwed up again.
Farewell. And may Satan's trident freeze in the Heat of Hell and crack just before he jams it into ye.
May the wind always be at your back.
And may you be literally climbed upon by masses of females who are a good 10, 20, or even more, years younger than yourself.
Happy Thanksgiving!

About this poem:
I composed my latest masterpiece while in the depths of depression. Engulfed in my pain and suffering. Because poets and stuff are made to suffer and feel pain.
Otherwise, i am doing fine! Tonight i plan to take out the old binocs and go hang out in a dark parking lot not far from the hotel so i can look at the drunk girls thru their opened curtains, in various stages of undress.
Thank you.

July 4

My last two karaoke songs were sung by George Michael
Freedom and Freedom 90
When I think of the fourth of July I think of freedom
Free to be who I am without judgement
Free to go outside without fearing for my safety from thugs and cops
Free to see a doctor or a dentist without financial ruin
Free to live in a house
Free to sleep without waking up too early
The songs deal with relationships
The first doesn't want freedom, all he wants is that special lady
The other freedom to have equal give and take in a relationship
Not always have to be the one always giving while the other just takes
When I was a kid it was about the fireworks
I am going to buy some today
I thought the song Afternoon Delight was about fireworks too
But as I have gotten older from 1976 when I was only six
It is about a good relationship
Where you can always look forward to some sky rockets in flight

About this poem:
I listen to many songs related to the Fourth of July, Voices That Care from the 91 Iraq and Kuwait War, and God Bless the USA by Lee Greenwood, American Pie by Don McLean is another good one.
