unnerved synaptic society
uplifting and touching
all hedonism and piety
leaning on and clutching
seeing all of either ends
here before the soliloquy
all the praying and pretends
chained to being set free
carried in the heavy flesh
the mantra of life was cried
some stable nativity crèche
mined exploded as empathy died
yielding profit of prophecy
father to brother to sister
branching out of family tree
hands to ring we kissed her
what may come to creed or race
these rounded days do explain
all men, women face-to-face
know only love can sustain

The Magic of Cornwall
Home of an Angel
A very magical place
Where there’s inspiration
And hearts full of love
And the beauty of
Cornwall’s coastline
The backdrop for every dream
The locals all so friendly
The best you've ever seen
The mermaids daily basking
Swimming round the shore
Of the Cornish coastline
A county I adore
Famous for its Industry
Fishing and Mining too
Swamped in myth and valor
And beauty for you to view
The sweeping cliffs
The crashing waves
And stunning moorland to
All the splendor that is Cornwall
Is waiting with me for you

It's been 3 years that I didn't go home
Feels like I've never done it before
Im happy just to think of me being there
Within' nature , beauty and oceans so blue
lemme hear the birds whisperin every mornin'
Lemme feel the air within my hair
I love the fact that I was born there
Im Just proud of being who I am
Syrian And Proud
I say it , oh so loud
Finally going home , finally im not alone
Syrian & Im not fake
Me is something you cant brake
And Finally im goin' back home ,Where I feel safe

Dear Santa,
I know it's only November, but damn
Things aren't quite straight around here
I don't ask for a lot
And I know you don't usually bring much for me
So this year maybe I thought I could...
Call in a few favors.
First, if you could make dad drink from the cans
Instead of those big glass bottles
He seems to act a lot nicer that way
Sometimes he'll even play catch with me
And bring a bunch of stuff for my mom, too
Because she's always having stuff delivered to the house
And when dad finds out there are delivery men here all the time
Boy, does shit ever hit the fan
Maybe too, you could bring something for my sister
I'm not sure what, but anything will probably do
She's usually in worse trouble than I am it seems
Between boys and smoking and whatever she stays out until 2AM for
Me, well, maybe a couple A's on my report card
It's not that I'm not smart enough, its just that
Its so hard to pay attention to math or english
When there are so many other exciting things in the world
Sincerely,
Little Billy Walker
247 Hanover St
The house with the big red chimney

This lovely land, was built by hand,
Generations in the makin'.
The stones they found, prised from the ground,
Became the bones of fam'ly homes,
And pony's stalls, or pasture walls,
All trimmed just right and fitted tight.
Thatched roofs they fledged with straw or sedge,
This land is cold, the wind is bold,
They had no logs but did have bogs,
So dried the peat to make their heat.
Used what they had, these clever lads.
And so unchanged some things remain,
Built strong to stand and grace this land.
Yes there's the rains, the crooked lanes,
And prices high to make you cry.
But oh the charms, the people warm,
Will make you smile, with wit and style.
From far away I came to stay,
And tour a while this Em'rald Isle.
Though I must part I leave my heart,
Until once more I gain these shores.

They had a 7 day visa to visit this exotic land
she was excited it had been a childhood dream,
the flight was short, just 1 hour from Thailand
to Rangoon where the golden pagoda gently gleams.
Customs men were more excited over their papers
than American dollars they'd stuffed down their bras,
the forms were completed so they could trace us
every step we took, every place we went, every car.
Yes Sir, No Sir, we smiled: Yes we will, we agree,
then we are off, an old taxi cab to the Hotel Strand.
Familiar faces greet us, other passengers are here
tomorrow we'll go in either direction around this land.
But first I must get rid of our weighty contraband
1 cartoon of B & H and 1 bottle of Johnie Walker,
my friend hands me her quota, she'll stay at the Strand.
She says it's best I do the deal, I'm a better talker.
Off I go to the taxi rank, a quick word in his ear,
Hop in Ma'am he says, I'll get a good deal for you.
In less than a minute seems all the cabbies appear
and down to business we go they all know what to do.
I hold out for a better deal, the offers come thick and fast
some of the cabbies keep watch at either end of the street,
then it is all over an agreement is reached at long last.
The cabbies smile and are off, another plane to meet.
This is the way it is done, it is expected of you,
now it is over we can begin our exciting journey
from Rangoon to Mandalay and Maymyo too
a beautiful, exotic land that will live in the memory.

About this poem:
An absolutely magic place and a great exchange rate was reached, everyone was happy including all the cabbies. An experience I'll always remember, including the hill station town of Maymyo.

There is this place with nothing
No-one during the year
But for one weekend in September they come from every parts
packed with nothing but beer
We set off on the long journey
with the mindset of only good times
no intentions, no worries, no plans
nothing but open minds
We rose to the sun and packed our gear
ready for a testing long drive
so long, we would have died of boredom
if it wasn't for our good vibe
We made a quick stop at Quilpie
with no intentions of staying
but soon we'd see a banner of the Kangarangadoo
six bucks each is all we'd be paying
the price of the caravan park that is
stumbling distance from the local water hole
and having a few too many
was our one and only goal
Our heads were pounding, our mouths were dry
as we woke to the swarm of flies
but we knew the trek must continue
so we packed and said our goodbyes
We'd been told to stop at Windorah
for the yearly crayfish races that night
we found out you could buy one and race it
so we thought that we just might
Three hundred we payed for Cods Wallop
it must have run near last
We forgave the little fella
the others were just too fast
We arrived as thousands of others did
with releived looks on our faces
our destination was finally upon us
the infamous Birdsville races
My father's a veteran at Birdsville
knows everyone, everything and how to sell
you want to buy a souvenir at out there
go see Graham Bell
We had to see him for another matter
the place was packed to the brim
But Dad already had a place set up for us
i knew we could rely on him
As the dark replaced light
and we'd downed a couple of beers
we noticed a loud drum beat
and the sound of many cheers
We followed the swarms of people
until the fuss we could finally see
it was a huge tent and a loud voice
both belonged to Fred Brophy
His fighters looked like movie stars
but The cowboy was the one to beat
Fred got his contenders every night
we were just happy with a seat
We were to attend the races the next day
after downing a bottle of rum
some say ten's a little early
even a little dumb
You couldn't pick a winner
on this harsh dirt track
eight races for the day
my eight finished somewhere at the back
Our fun was not to end
until the wee hours of the morn
we intended to sleep till noon
but woke at the crack of dawn
So we arrived on Birdsville cup day
With our beer tickets in hand
Moonee Lane won the big one
Glided home across the sand
No one seemed to care much
about the money they had lost
cause of the good times and great mates
and for that there is no cost
So go to Birdsville and see it all
I know my dad'll be there
i fell in love and i'll be back
my dad and I a pair
There is this place with nothing
no one during the year
But if you love this country
then you'll surely make it here

About this poem:
Millsy, Naz, Will and myself went on a trip to the Australian outback, specifically the Birdsville races in 2006 and i wrote my thoughts and experiences in poem form for anyone that would like to read it. Birdsville is in the far south east corner of Queensland. 22 hours west of Brisbane. The town consists of only a few hundred people except on the races week. They flock from everywhere. Was a truly amazing trip and if you really want to experience the kind, funny and layback nature of the Australian people then i recommend it strongly. My Father has been attending for over 25 years.

MAN VS. DONUT HAIR - MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
musicianfriend
TO BE BALD..OR TO HAVE DONUT HAIR...THAT IS THE QUESTION!!
Twas the night before Christmas
When all through the house..
Not a creature was stirring..
Not even my spouse..
The Stockings were hung
by the chimney with care..
In hopes that St Nicholas
would bring him some hair..
His head it was balding
Hair fell in his lap..
We look at each other ..
And started to laugh..
But what to my wondering eyes
should appear
but one little follicle
inside of his ear
That little ole driver
grew steady and quick
The next thing you knew..
I gave it a lick
My husband was moved
he called me by name..
and after that nite
we were never the same..
From the top of his head
To his skinny ole chin..
hes shaved them away
then grew them again...
They looked like ants
before the clippers did fly...
those sweet little follicles...
.
fell over his thy...
He questioned himself
did he do the right thing..
so he grew them all back...
He looked like a King...
He looked like a mountainman
all fury like Fred
except for that donut
on top of his head...
(donut...the ring of hair around the head when the top at the back has fell out..)
He tired to cover it...
did all that he could...
he painted he colored..
but did him no good
He remembered a man..
all shaven and keen.....
That handsome young man...
They called Mr Clean..
He used ingenuity...
He used common sense..
He shaved it all off...
what a handsome gent...
My husband is happy....
No outings to dread
The donuts all gone..
from top of his head..
The moral to this story...
Is simple and true...
Shave off your hair..
and save on shampoo
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR....
LAUGHTER DOETH GOOD.....LIKE A MERRY MEDICINE!

I used to long for Spring Festival so much when I was a little girl. New clothes, new shoes, delicious food....cracks.....
I used to long for Spring Festival so much when I was a young mother, bought all good things for my daughter, decorated my home, gathered with all relatives....
But This year,
after I finished
cleaning everywhere throughly,
go shopping, decorate my home....
I found only myself at home,
with a weak body
a jaded appetite,
a lonely heart,
.....
and with tears out of my eyes quietly
.....
How much I wish a person with me together during the big holiday
How much I wish a person could be with me when I feel not well, pass me a glass of water, touch my forehead, hug me and cheer me up....
How much I wish...at least I'm not so uncomfortable at the moment
....
This is the last day of the Chinese lunar year of ox
Tomorrow will be the first day of Tiger year
I wish I will be well when the first sunshine come in my room tomorrow.
I wish all bad things will be brought away by the ox
and the new tiger will leave me happiness....
