Transparency in Disguise

Secrets that were not secrets
Lessons that were not learned
Just how fallible are my thoughts
Deliberately distorting into knots

Secrets that were not secrets
Lessons that were not learned
Such is life but all is existential
Much an extravagant depiction

Secrets that were not secrets
Lessons that were not learned
That describes inevitable fiction
Shadows casting dubious doubts

Secrets that were not secrets
Lessons that were not learned
Where all truth becomes evitable
Posturing between all it flouts

My Quiet Summer Dream

I dreamed this dream once
Staring into a still pond
My thoughts mere reflections
And bouncing up were images

Like a mirror laying on the grass
Was fruit ripening in beautiful trees
And those long lines of fuzzy cattails
Standing all around like tall sentries

Then I saw all twenty of them
Perfectly angled sun rays making
A briiliant halo around the sunrise
Greens and blues and yellows

Mixing everything else brown
Until at last I saw a fish jump
And I awakened when its ripples
Reached the all quiet shoreline

Runaway Love

I want to runaway to where
I am free
Joy of feeling a home to share
Hiding away
I want to catch my first kiss
Trying my way
The magic of my first wish
Lighting up
I want to burn a long candle
A fragrant one
I want to watch over the sand hill
Gazing as one
I just want one to discover
One called ours
I want to reach up and uncover
Secrets inside
I want to curl up and be still
My heart swells
I want to listen to it spill
Louder it beats
The power of its message
Pounding away
I want to swim through its passage
To the other side
Freedom to explore the unknown
Searching for freedom
How grateful love was shown
Escaping away

If.....

Have A listen...:)

if we make the rules
and we’re in control
if all we can lose
is an empty soul….....
1-then why should I be loyal
if none are greater than me
what is there to obey
but my own vanity
2-I’ll claim my own image
my name shall be adored
and be equal to my pride
an idol for the world
3-I’ll assume authority
by all that is divine
disregarding ancient truth
and claim all wisdom is mine
4-my desire will drive me
on fortunes’ endless quest
drunk on the wine of fame
my greed will never rest
5-my parents I will blame
the elders I will scorn
for holding me to task
from the day I was born
6-I’ll be free to live my life
loving all who follow me
hating all who criticize
and all who came before me
7-I’ll marry whom I choose
and love all whom I will
I’ll command an army of flesh
to march just for the thrill
8-I’ll tear down all the walls
and open all the cages
liars, thieves, and friends in need
loyal to freedoms’ wages
9-the lie will be the truth
the truth will be for sale
I’ll revel in inequity
and deny the fires of hell
10-and all will serve my pleasure
and covet what they see
I’ll bear witness to every lust
and keep them enthralled to me
if we make the rules
and we’re in control
if all we can lose
is an empty soul….....

Prostate Cancer and Arthritis

A sister once told me
If the male sperm sits too long in the testicles
It could cause prostate cancer and it's important
For men to have multiple ejaculations
Or even m**turbate often to release the sperm

Well, this brother told me that he agreed and he chokes his chicken
Or visits Mrs. Palmer and her five children often...
As much as possible!
And he admits that he doesn't have prostate cancer

However, he contracted arthritis
In the elbow, forearm, fingers, and wrist!
Now, ain't that about a b*tch?

Azimuth

In the meantime, I got lost in this
maze of mist, fog, and frogs
I can't imagine myself, not knowing
the features, specs, nor the support
I guess, not worthy, not being storage
Without my memory intact? Therefore!

CURE-ALL

Alas the implacable enemy of man
is not himself
but what he thinks
he ought to be

What he had done
but shouldn’t have done
makes
what he didn’t do
but should have done
pale

If life were only just
he would be able to
edit convert paste
misdeeds to deeds
blunders to successes
and yes
even wrongs to rights

The flaw in the design
would have finally been
expunged from this globe
and the healing of the soul
universally proclaimed

Memories

memories in rows of green beads
that align like racing steeds
settling upon cultivated ground
trodden under and worn
the past is found planted
in frayed strands of time
the tilled memories become
tiny blooms, Oh, so sublime
riders on bountiful excursions
seedsman in secret gardens
where memories grow
the planting of all that is
the landscape of our lives

Cloud Nine - A love poem

In the breathless aura of cloud nine
Magic takes hold surreptitiously
It appeared to you and me
As we cosmically aligned

Along the journey of years
The raptured bliss appears
Secret, soft and refined
Star dust designed

We awaken warm and excited
Breathed words in transition
The love we both invited
A final poetic rendition

Cupids quiver of love’s arrows
Flying like soaring sparrows
Entering hearts we ignited
Making us united

Bathing in warm luscious pools
Azure waters of glistening jewels
In the language of hushed whispers
Where the depth incurs

Embracing one to the other forever
In the cosmos our souls aligned
Knowing the meaning of eternity
In the breathless aura of cloud nine
