METAL MAN

He stood proud and strong
this monument of a bygone man.
His helmet glistened
shield and staff held high.
But I heard his cry
"pigeons be gone
your shit is eroding my metal."

"Silly monument, I said
in my head.
Bygone men were real
made of stronger steel.
The shit they had to bare
certainly did not scare.

They survive through you.
So cut the crap,
for now, it's raining
the shit away.

the guardians of our lost souls

never lose sight of light
even as pearls of tears falling off your face
painted walls of torture and pain
silk and honey rubbed on your skin
to be scraped off by the tongue of the gods
enthralled as your master
if only to spare your agony
but you know
nothing exist between you and your dreams
promised of a gold filled tomorrow
now rest on your skills
blow and suck and let them lick your petals
ah if only you know you've been fooled
used and worn like those linens
now crumpled on your feet
how long will it be, when you realize
they will get away with these crimes
while you lay rotten, shamed and beaten
and no one heard of your screams
because their weapon and defense
is encrypted in our silence
the never ending game
afforded by money and fame

and as you lay weak and dying
you have become nothing
just a piece of a** bought and paid for

by these masters of evil
we call: the guardians of our lost souls.
if only you knew.

About this poem:
I was touched by the sad plights of our young souls caught in the abyss of prostitution.

I was reading Jeffrey Epstein and the many victims of his evil deeds.

It breaks my heart.

I titled it to signify the lies they promise to the victims and families when their first approach them.

I've seen a grim documentary presented by Demi Moore about their recruiting strategy in Asia especially Nepal, Philippines, etc.

Very sad.

Thanks all for your reads and comments if any.

The world in darkness

THE WORLD IN DARKNESS

Darkness has overcome the world
Uncertainty rules our minds
It seems the goodness in our hearts vanished
Selfishness thrive in abundance
Hasn't the Lord assured us all the time?
That all of these will come to pass
There will be tribulations at first
But in the end the chosen ones will stand?
Why be afraid then?
Why do we let our fear and panic reign?
Just be ready and steadfast
There is nothing we can do but trust
It is only through our faith that salvation is attained
We should know that, if we remained... loyal Only to Him
And followed His path.

I reckon sins got hold of the best of most of us
I know I have been a sinner for sometime
But I know, too, that I changed..I am sure He knows
How I kept my promise of not sinning again, and again..
And so with earnest in my mind, heart and in my soul
I deeply, regrettably wanting to carry the cross
He bore for all of us
And if in the end, I am still one of the Lost..I will still hope,
I will be found...because I always believed...
He is the Only Way and the Life...
Our Lord Jesus..

Amen.

The Poet

You’re such an unlikely figure
I mean if looks could tell
You anything about the person
Like a book cover
doesn't tell the story
I want to get a cup of coffee
And write about you
Imagine and think about you
Oh to be a tiny ladybug
On your writing desk
To gaze upon you while you bring
All those engaging, beautiful visions
To see the expressions upon your face
The pauses, the nibble on your pen
The emotions you are feeling
The emotions you let in, then out
Expressing ancient lore
Filled with wanton love
Candle lights and tears
Love and whispers uttered
Passions, hopes and dreams
In ancient times
Oh those times gone by
I would like to look
Deep into your eyes
Scanning like the palmist
Reads the lines of a hand
Gazing until surrender
Lost in deep thought
The depth is quite amazing
One so unlikely, yet
It makes my heart sing
Reading your poetry
You relate the fantasy
Capture the fairy tales
So elegantly
You’re an anomaly
A mystery, a dream
I’m left with wonderment
You have caught my attention
And given flight to my thinking

SITTING IN MY DECKCHAIR

Sitting in my deckchair
taking in the warming air
Birds were singing love songs
I wondered then at mans wrongs
No no my thoughts should stay
with nature and trees and not stray
Spring pairings and new babes
Flower's peeping up in new shades
Man does not deserve a thought
He has since his time began, always fought
I should teach him to sit in my deckchair
and take in the warming spring air
Teach him how to buzz like the bees
and bend and sway like the trees
I laugh at thoughts crossing my mind
One day men will learn and be kind
Giving Mother Nature's survival a thought
For shes the one that's struggled and fought
Since the beginning of time, but now needs a hand
Or the earth shall shrivel , turning all to yellow sand

Flowers

Flowers that wipe out our sorrows

Am I hallucinating?
Flowers of varied colors blooming
A testament of beauty that soothes the pain?
Maybe...
I would like to undo these dark thoughts in my mind
I would love to create a world that is of balance
Where there is dark so would there be light
Where there is hate, love must override
And so on..
Is there anyone here who would join me
And scrape off this morbidity?
Or am I all alone?
We are like drowning in the oceans of doom
It has to change, we have to be strong..
So let us go out and plant, I know we can
Flowers that soothes our sorrows and pain
Flowers that make our world see the light
We deserve it, I know we do...
Not just sadness and sorrow
I am all for it,
Are you?

No regrets

The shadow of your past lingers on
Like a soft petal of a rose
Frozen in your memory
Alas she found you, called out
And those frozen moments of time come alive

Unfurled, like a dream that shook you
In the wake of dawn
And like a dew that moistened the ground, her lips aching for you to drench,
Harvest it's glorious sweetness only you can, ,,trigger that pleasure she sorely miss in your absence.

Oblivion took reign of your existence
For a while nothing exists between you and her
And why not, she only left you temporarily
She told you, once her wings are full of silver and gold,
Like an eagle she will fly back to you
She promised

Now her future filled with the security of
What money can buy, alas she's back
If only to taste you one more time.

Perhaps even for a lifetime.

Don't worry about me, I surely understand.
I just knew it is just a matter of moments.

And so it is. I'm free and that's all that matters.

Good luck.

And yes, I have no regrets.

I can only thank you for the memories.

Lost Love

The sadness in our brown eyes as we danced to our lost song
Neither one of us was wrong
We stayed in our relationship way to long
Too much of our love had died
We forgot to keep an open eye
We had nothing but lost love
We tried to bring the relationship back to life
It couldn't survive
there's nothing left but to say good bye
I will always remember the day we fell in love
Good bye to you my lost dove

LOVE

Not planned
Simply happened
Unexpected
But felt
Continued on
Surprising
But growing

Relationship?
YES
Love?

WONDERFUL!

The viral blues

A jazz band
Playing via Zoom
Through the fog of fever
In the room
A sneezing guitar
An anosmic saxophone
A trembling bass
A confused piano
A hickuping trumpet
A coughing drum
And a hoarse-voiced singer
All wishing
A Happy New 2022 Year
And for Covid
To disappear
