Opportunity

Opportunity knocks, embrace its call,
Unleash your dreams, stand tall.
With courage as your guiding light,
Embrace the chance, seize the fight.

A door opens wide, opportunity's gate,
Embrace the challenge, don't hesitate.
For within its grasp lies a world unknown,
Where possibilities thrive and dreams are sown.

Opportunity whispers, a gentle plea,
Listen closely, for it holds the key.
Embrace its presence, let it guide your way,
Unleash your potential, seize the day.

Like a shimmering star in the night,
Opportunity awaits, casting its light.
Embrace its glow, let it lead your path,
To a future bright, where dreams amass.

Opportunity dances in the wind's embrace,
Grasp its hand, let it guide your pace.
With each step forward, a chance is born,
Embrace the opportunity, and embrace the morn.

A fleeting moment, opportunity's gift,
Embrace its presence, let your spirits lift.
For within its grasp lies growth and change,
Embrace the opportunity, let it rearrange.

Like a river flowing, opportunity cascades,
Embrace its current, let it guide your ways.
Dive into its depths, explore the unknown,
Embrace the opportunity, let your spirit be shown.

Opportunity knocks, a chance to grow,
Embrace its call, let your passion flow.
With every step taken, new horizons unfold,
Embrace the opportunity, let your story be told.

Opportunity whispers, a promise untold,
Embrace its whispers, let them take hold.
For within its embrace lies endless chance,
Embrace the opportunity, let your dreams enhance.

Like a flame flickering, opportunity's fire,
Embrace its warmth, let it inspire.
For within its glow, a world awaits,
Embrace the opportunity, unlock your fates.

Malicious Minds

Where smoke is found
There is always fire
Undoubtably or not
Trouble always finds you
When you least expect it

Prowling on the catwalks
Eyes peering into shadows
Ears touching the walls
Watching and listening
For signs of witchcraft

Real or imaginary
No one is ever alone or
Really that innocent
Because the cameras lens
Is always searching

Whenever you get away
Wherever you need to go
To the mountains or forest
You’re only as safe
As you feel inside

About this poem:
Poem about accusations and superstitions and leaving ancient worries behind. Seeking solitude in nature always refreshes my inner sense of peace and tranquility. Much of modern society is conducted under the auspices of surveillance and security. Thanks to all the great poets, past and present, that have made CS a haven for many to explore and share a common love for poetry and free expression of thoughts that generate so much passion and feeling.

Thanks to all my fellow poets for helping me to reach my '600' poem milestone. I started writing poetry on this site ten years ago after a particularly painful breakup and I have never looked back.

growing old

we lived our life and grown old
some would say where grew to bold
age and time attach like mold
now you gone there no one to hold
is it why my hearts gone cold
memory's haunting of of all untold

for growing old we will turn to dust
all our bones start to feel like rust
all our love was so robust
but in the end your heart will combust
to lose someone is so unjust

i write this for all of you
but my words are far to few
i hope you all will view
what i have said and love you all should pursue

my love

my love
i am here my love
i have two giant arms to hold you with , my love
when two hearts meet and our two hearts greet
with a love so divine ,that will burn throughout time

my love can make you hotter than the sun
my love will make you wetter than the nile
and with a passion like a million stars burning for a thousand years.
all for you , my love

i am here my love
alone my love
waiting for you my love.

come find me my love
make me thine my love
and we will be together for all time my love
until we draw our last breathe together my love

are you my love?

one of mine

We were meant for biking miles in the fog, for laughing our aching ribs. Summer is only a word. But an orange word. Red sun spilling into the sky. burn of seawater. restless. There is hurt here. We are not too holy. We can save each other

Bruised Lips.

To be kissed is such an intimate act.

He takes your face in both hands,
Gently leans in and brushes his lips over your mouth.

You feel His breath, warm and gentle as he watches you.

Just holding your face softly, leans in and crushes your lips, takes your moans into his mouth and tastes your soul.

Leans back and looks at your eye's, and softly parted lips, smile's right into you.

That's how to kiss a woman.

alex monster

my monster doesn't lurk or hide to spring out to attack you.
no he sneaks up on you he doe's.
he is very cunning is my monster.
he arrives by capsule or pram.
and i pick him up or he gets handed to me , doe's my monster.
and when i have him, he lays in my giant old arms.
he looks up and he see's me , his eyes go big and huge and then my monster grins.
a huge big grin , yes he doe's.
he is in his granddad's arms looking up,he smiles , with big eyes open.
then my monster blows bubbles.
he knows he is safe in these old arms and protected and loved.
watched over by his grand mum and his nog who have both pass on now.
as he falls sleep cuddled into my old hard arms.
he smiles and he blows bubbles.
he is my monster, my grandson.

Respect, Love, care, kind, Honesty, Faithfulness

I loved you first: but afterwards your love
Outsoaring mine, sang such a loftier song
As drowned the friendly cooings of my dove.
Which owes the other most? my love was long,
And yours one moment seemed to wax more strong;
I loved and guessed at you, you construed me
And loved me for what might or might not be –
Nay, weights and measures do us both a wrong.
For verily love knows not ‘mine’ or ‘thine;’
With separate ‘I’ and ‘thou’ free love has done,
For one is both and both are one in love:
Rich love knows nought of ‘thine that is not mine;’
Both have the strength and both the length thereof,
Both of us, of the love which makes us one.

thoughts

we all want peace
we all want love
we all want help from above

we look and search
we hope and pray
that for love will find us one day

and through life
there might be only one
to bring the light and love and us undone

hold them, squeeze them for they will soon be gone
to be left with only memorys of days gone by
and questions of why

alone u sit thinking back all those years
long long thoughts which turn to tears
and nothing left not even fears

What You Do Best

Share your talents with the world
In this way you do heal
The pain that others suffer
As God’s gifts you do reveal.

Each one is given gifts
Which they are meant to share
And they can help to heal the world
If share them they do dare.

What talents were you given?
What is it you do best?
In what way can you thus serve well
By sharing with the rest?

It’s where you find your passion
That true service you can give.
For in this way you blossom
And help others best to live.

So search inside for your true skills
The ones that make you sing.
If used then to enhance your world
True peace and love you’ll bring.
