I Believe

Love is the Answer
You cannot buy happiness, but you sure can rent it!
The prices of things have gone up way too much
I miss my dogs
We only go around this world once
The 70's were my favorite decade
A woman is a person who can give birth and produce milk
Nothing beats a good sundae
Time is all we really have
If you can't feed the baby, then don't have the baby
The 80's had the best music
Free music on the internet destroyed music
Life isn't fair
I miss Chris Farley
Shania Twain is very pretty
Pluto has a heart on it
You will be happy

Mystery

She is a storm,
a pioneer
and a visionary.

Her eyes are
deep pools
of esoteric history.

They whisper
of tantalizing magic
secrets and mysteries.

Not mine,

Tear Me Apart.

Gently remove the dark glasses,
Lift my chin, make me look at you.

Rip the blinds away, reach deeper into my mind.

Tear at all the walls to see every part of who I am.

Pull every piece out by the roots, break me down.

Then put them all together, stand back and see Me.

Let me know then if you have the strength to handle Me.

My Dad

My Dad was my Hero,
Though Him I look for this in a Man.

Quiet Strength
Hard working hand's
A dry, naughty sense of humour
Arm's that will always catch you
Kindness and patience
Pride and Respect
Safe place to fall apart, and know that's okay.

I believe ever Man is capable of this and I know I am worth it because of Him.

He was taken from us in a War when I was 13 but what He left Me was Priceless.

Happy father's Day Dad,
I love you.

Violet Flames

Silently, whilst the phoenix sleeps on his perch
On the tree, it leaves the canopy in the lurch
In which the willow weeps, embers of golden fire crackling
A creator struggles to produce a ballad of inspiration,
That as the rose slowly unfurls
Its the epitome of passion and persuasion
As petals grow, unwittingly beautiful
Old as the resembelence of a royal Earl too
And the stem of growth is a sheer emerald green
That warrants not everything is meant to be seen
As the passion begins to teem with a scene
That whirls into a revelation of repute
Building up the families of the dispute
Two parties flock to the scene, in which,
The paternal figures both turn angry red
As all becomes war and bloodshed
In the tears, as it unfolds, the story is a stone of gold
Mirrored in the grief that's taken from the monentious day
The tears wash the emotion and the sadness away
Memories still gathered at the time, but are toasted
By either families with a glass of red wine.

"Through the Night" (song lyrics)

Walking alone on the edge of the highway.
I look to the sky the stars they excite me.
The pictures amaze they seem to control me.
Guiding my way through the night.
Through the night.

Stumble upon a vision of beauty.
Lying beneath the sea of tranquility.
Lost in the midst of the night.
Of the night.

What do I see, it's a beautiful Angel.
"Come walk with me!", she whispers so gently.
Lost in her gaze. It seems to control me.
Guiding my way through the night.
Through the night.

Gently she takes my hand into hers.
Slowly we walk away from the highway.
Into a mist of the night.
Of the night.

Now I can hear such beautiful music.
Ten thousand voices all singing together.
It captures my heart, it seems to control me.
Guiding my way through the night.
Through the night.

Then a bright light, appears in the distance.
Such visions I see they overwhelm me.
Deep in the mist of the night.
Of the night.

As the stars fade I see oh so clearly,
The world I'm in has fallen so quickly,
Into the realm that seems to control me.
Guiding my way through the night.
Through the night.

Now here I am alone on the highway.
No Angel with me just myself and my worries.
So lost in the midst of the night.
Of the night.

Sitting alone on the edge of the highway.
Events of the night through my head they are running.
Sorting them out I have only one conclusion.
Their guiding my way through the night.
Through the night.

When all alone find a beautiful Angel.
Holding them close takes away all the anguish.
Don't get lost in the midst of the night.
Of the night.

Your hand in theirs on the edge of the highway.
Never walk alone. Be always together.
Life you will find is simply amazing.
Guiding your way through the night.
Through the night.

Now here we are at the end of my story.
I hope that it helps with all the frustrations.
Don't get lost in the mist of the night.
Of the night.

THE END

About this poem:
I wrote this song about 20 years ago and have forgotten alot of the words. The first 4 verses are from memory, the rest I wrote tonight in hopes of touching some hearts. This is a song about going through life alone and how hard it can be. A gentle reminder of how precious time is and that we should not waist it being alone. It can be hard this dating thing but with a little faith and some good spirit we all can find that special Angel to walk through life with.

Lest We Forget

Splashes of red engulfed the now quiet meadow
Tranquil to a fault, reflective battle in regret, conceded
As the poppies held their heads up high, swaying
Looking over the cascading cliffs at the stormy sea
And as the soldiers wistfully remember, today was the day
That the fallen gave their lives, memories of the pain
The bloodshed, the wounds, the gunshots and the dead
When death himself carried away those souls that had fought
Valiantly in the front line, memories which fled their very grasp
Of ghosted fingertips, lost in their fight, when the survivors won
Their right to stay on this day of rememberance Sunday
We mourn the loss of those that once lived, to give
Freedom, peace, and all that happened from before

A day of reckoning, with warring forces that thought
That it would not ever be stopped or won
When the dead of that era, and the living are here now
And the world remembers them, the wars they pledged
Their lives to their country, to do the duty that required
Strength, luck, digilence and instinctive skills
To survive another day, a piece in the chessboard,
Pawns that swept across the same old black and white
Pieces used that travelled across the world with all their might
To ensure that the wars were won and that no other war
That could take its place, indeed, when all was said and done

Those poppies have a lot to say in so very little words
They stand for the voices of the forgotten, when all was left Unsaid, those that gave their lives for us today
When the world, the tears that had been shed
...

We have no need for reminders what the wars were about
But to this day, we remember them, as the sombre words say all
Within the realities of today as traditions and legacies live on

The willow Tree - introspection

The willow tree bends its branches, silently, leaves words left unspoken
As the tidal wave of emotion borderlines the freedom with a blissed token
Of release, as I sit quietly, by the lake, beneath the leafy canopy
My headache no longer present, my heartache no longer my burden to carry
Painless tears sweep through my essence, the burden becoming lighter
As my future, that confirmation passes into the sunset only becomes brighter

There is a Love

there is a love
made of granite
for Bobby and Janet
it's a love
made of stone
that few may have known
and takes that form
from dusk 'til dawn
on the revolving planet

there is a love
made of timber
for Sully and Kimber
its a love
carved from wood
you'd take if you could
and it's been that way
for ever and a day
and may it remain so limber

My lonely and forgotten grave

my lonely and forgotten grave

exploding like prisms
of blinding light
I am but a twig floating
in the debris of your imaginings
yet still thirsting for your longings
don't you see? I am weak
I am helpless
I am not supposed to be
crawling, wading unto the
splintered pages of your memory
and as your tears find its way
down to my bleeding heart
I just know the joys we had
would sprout like petals

in my lonely and forgotten grave.

About this poem:
Even if sadness was a part of your life, sometimes it's nice to relive them because it is what made you of who you are today.
