HA HA HA HA HA HA Oranges OMG. SNL should make this guy an offer to come on their show. Their instructions to him would be "Just be yourself, you don't need a script, just walk out on stage and start talking".
Cats that live in the wild or indoor pets allowed to roam outdoors kill from 1.4 billion to as many as 3.7 billion birds in the continental U.S. each year, says a new study that escalates a decades-old debate over the feline threat to native animals.
The estimates are much higher than the hundreds of millions of annual bird deaths previously attributed to cats. The study also says that from 6.9 billion to as many as 20.7 billion mammals — mainly mice, shrews, rabbits and voles — are killed by cats annually in the contiguous 48 states. Chuck Raasch, USA TODAY
Compare those statistics to this:
"With more than 50,000 wind turbines in place across the U.S., wind power now accounts for 8 percent of the nation's energy-generating capacity — and experts predict that figure could rise to 20 percent by 2030.
But all that clean, renewable energy comes with a high cost to the nation's wildlife. Researchers estimate that 140,000 to 328,000 birds are killed every year in collisions with the turbines' spinning rotor blades and support towers. The risk to birds is highest at night, when the blades and towers are cloaked in darkness.
Now researchers at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, have hit upon what could prove to be a simple way to protect birds from wind turbines. They've used the "signatures" of birds that are visible in raw weather radar data to generate bird maps and live migration forecasts designed to alert wind farm operators to the presence of birds at peak times."
So if you divide the worst case scenario of both causes 328,000/3,700,000,000 = .00886% of birds killed by cats are killed by wind turbines.
In other words Cats kill 1,128,049 more birds per years that do Wind Turbines.
Well, I made an in depth study of the picture titled "Knee Deep In Trash", and I determined it was located on 29th street between second & third ave. The structure in the distance that looks like part of a bridge is in fact the Third Ave "EL" or elevated railway line. Even when I was a kid in the 50's horse drawn wagons were still in use in NYC. The "Ice man" used one. It was common for the horse to have a canvas bag hung over his snout which contained oats. I guess this kept the horse calm and gave him energy and sort of like an awark cause horses love oats.
I at first thought this blog was about the movie "Our Daily Bread". I'd be surprised if anybody here has ever seen it. If you have, then you know it's one of the best movies ever made.
I kinda figured that out from your post, I was just busting your chops a little Korn no mean intent. I really had no idea what MD meant though. That was before my time.
Kids sometimes make very bad decisions, this guy has made more than most. His only prospects are to spend the rest of his life as a drug dealer because he'll never get a decent job.
BCE (Before Common Era) and BC (Before Christ) mean the same thing- previous to year 1 CE (Common Era). This is the same as the year AD 1 (Anno Domini); the latter means “in the year of the lord,” often translated as “in the year of our lord.”
MD: A Doctor of Medicine is a medical degree, the meaning of which varies between different jurisdictions. In the United States, Canada and other countries, the MD denotes a professional graduate degree awarded upon graduation from medical school.
Here is a cover of a really old standard. I would love to hear what the people who were around when the original was released would think and say about this version.
Brilliant ! When I first heard the original 25 or 6 to 4 I immediately went and bought 2 45's one to wear out and one to preserve forever. I must say this rendition is at least as good as the original. Excellent video. Did anyone notice the guy playing the trumpet looks a lot like Leonard from The Big Bang Theory?
Hey DR I had no idea Central American migrants are invading Fiji. Maybe trump can build a wall around your island to protect you. BTW, you state "I Have A Big One". You have a big what?
@ken_19 "each paper bag requires a tree to be felled." Sorry dude but that is like saying you can only make 1 paper bag out of a whole tree. Also, I'm of the belief that paper bags are less environmentally damaging than plastic as they can be recycled into new bags and biodegrade whereas plastic doesn't. The brown paper bags you get from super markets and other retail vendors are all made from 100% recycled paper so no live trees are cut down.
Hey neighbor, Me thinks the ladies don't get it. Did this gorgeous "woman" say how many US dollars this heart valve operation will cost so "she" will be fit enough to make the flight from Ghana to come to you and live happily ever after?
RE: Will it ever go away?
M4, that is a great idea. it enhances the control over the urge because YOU are making the decision, not the cigarette.
