By knowing that nothing will really upset me, annoy me or bother me immensely ever again.
By going to work on a sunny day and not minding it; by being able to laugh when the toilet seat is left up instead of it annoying me; by being able to look forward to the next day instead of wondering what will go wrong...
Thats when I know I am content, and that, for me is the biggest success in my life.
I dunno about World Peace, but certainly when it comes to the everyday drama, sensationlism aspect of life we seem to feed off it for sure.
You only have to think about Rupert Murdoch and the Screws of the World paper; it was the biggest selling tabloid in the UK for decades, purely because it gave the people what they wanted - gossip.
Its the same here, the longest threads are ALWAYS the ones that related to others' lives directly.
Its a sad fact that humanity in general are nosey, or "curious" about others' lives.
