Yeah, I was just curious really, what people thought about this.
After watching the programme, it was quite interesting to see how people reacted; men reacted differently to women, and it seemed to depend on how attractive the lady was as to whether the guys intervened!
The women actually seemed more aware, and more likely to step in.
I saw the thread you refer to, shin, and thought it was appalling, personally.
Single moms are often berating men for not wanting to 'take on' their offspring, and then when a seemingly nice, caring man states his honorable intent in this regard he is branded 'creepy'.
I find this kind of research very facinating. I remember a while back some research was done which seemed to point toward a huge amount of European people having some kind of connection with the Royal line of Tutankhamun.
The Roman influence on Egypt introduced so much Western blood into the lines, which contributed greatly to the change in looks, etc.
I agree. I am so horrified sometimes when I see the commercials for cellphones and cellphone plans, and how expensive they are. Every child on this earth demands one now, and they EXPECT IT.
Thank you, felix. The subject has been extensively discussed at work, and I think management now are putting in new regs to avoid this type of thing in the future.
I do however feel sorry for parents who have to deal with the ongoing pressure from commercials to buy their Kidlings expensive stuff..It must be very hard, sometimes.
Doesnt surprise me at all. You get what you pay for, most of the time.
Another point I would like to raise is this: if you make internet bookings for hotels/flights or whatever - DOUBLE CHECK BEFORE YOU TRAVEL. Check your reservation was received and all is as it should be. I have found recently that many online booking search engines do not always forward the reservation to the hotel, and that can sometimes led to disasterous results!
An internet bargain is no bargain at all if they have not booked you in!
So was I. If they coach had attempted to take them to task and they refused to (which they probably would have done), and he had to get stricter with them, who knows where it would have ended?
The bottom line is, if these youngters cannot be counted on to act like the adults they aspire to be BEFORE they go on these trips, they shouldnt be allowed to go on them.
Well, I gotta say, I dont know who you are or what you are, and I really dont care, but your sheep threads crack me up and always bring a smile to my face so thats good enough for me.
What Would YOU Do...??
Hi, pops. Nice to meet you.Thank you for your input; its interesting to hear from someone actually "on the front line", so to speak.
