What would it take for you to fall in love again?

Can you fall in love again

Would you want to fall in love again?

Does love only have to benefit you?

Is love a game to you?

Is love a means to an end for you?

Do you think love is real?

What?....Love?....what the hell is that?

lol

But seriously do you think you can love again?

I think I can....but...I do know love can make one weaker...as well as make one stronger....depending on your "better half."

Johnny_Sparton, I don't know... As you also know, we cannot predict our future and we never know what awaits us around the corner. But, I think that I will stick to friendship-based romantic relationships and forget about madly falling in love. I know that love can develop from a friendship, that you can start a relationship with someone nice you respect and you have a lot in common with and then gradually start to love that person. It's calm, it's gentle, there are no "I'm crazy about you!!!" feelings robrt787 is talking about laugh , but it can bring you happiness, nevertheless. smile There's a part of me that is sad for giving up on falling in love, but I think this is much better for me... What about you?
Xan,

At one time, I was floating around in the same boat as you. But, I think I am ready...in fact just recently I thought I was going to be married, until I found out the cost of such marriage. So, as life continues, I continue to learn. :)

...but yeah...

heck yeah. :)

I would dive in head first....

thumbs up thumbs up
Could you please tell me what you mean by that? hmmm
Yeah, Johnny,

What do you mean by “The cost of marriage?” confused

rolling on the floor laughing
.....hence the reason why I am not looking for international love anymore.
Johnny,

Yes, sometimes body pillows with a silkscreened pretty ladies face at top, is cheaper. Less than 35 dollars. laugh
Of course, not that I’ve ever bought or owned several, just what I heard from friends. grin
Johnny ..... There is a tv show called "90 Day Fiancee".

If you ever think again about bringing her here, watch a few seasons of this show. It will open up your eyes.

It's about bringing someone from another country to America. Most of the relationships don't work.

Some couples get married but trouble sets in and just as you said you have to support the person from another country for 10 years !!

Who the heck would ever think about getting involved with a foreigner knowing that.

Be careful young man. There are lots of pretty, smart and loving American girls.

Take you time ....
Robert....I forgot who coined this phrase, but I heard that, "there is less drama in life with a silk-screened pillow."

dunno laugh

SA....yes, I have seen that show. I have watched it a few times. I don't know if I watched it enough to get a better idea of how these relationships work or fail. I will take your word on it.

Thanks for sharing.

wave
....and yes, I did enjoy watching them too. I will keep an eye out for it to watch more often.thumbs up
You said she’s a wonderful, sweet, loving, caring Filipino lady, so why did you think of getting divorce? I don’t get it. confused

What the consequences will your gov’t put on you if you can’t making such amount or can’t fulfil such 10-year obligations?
How will your gov’t know about it? According to your bank account annual report? Based on complaints? Do you think there would be someone who would complain and report it to the gov’t?

Sorry JohnnyS, your explanation just made me curious. comfort
Long-distance relationships are full of temptations and rather expensive. It's easy to be "wonderful, sweet, loving, caring" online, on skype or a couple of days/weeks every several months. The person doesn't even need to be from another country, but from another town within your own country.
People seem to confuse love and marriage.
Maybe they took the words of that song too literally - we don't use horses and carriages anymore.

We can't choose who we fall in love with, but we can choose who we allow into our lives to potentially fall in love with.
It is up to us to choose wisely.

Love doesn't hurt. Being in love is wonderful. It puts a skip in your step and makes everything seem brighter and full of promise.

Of course if it doesn't work out for some reason, then we can feel hurt and let down. But that doesn't take away from the beauty of love itself.

Having said that, I am not a believer that love conquers all. That to me comes from reading too many fairytales. People need friendship, trust, loyalty, and a sense of being one unit for a relationship to work. Love just adds the cement to that structure.
Xan....

It is very difficult to identify one's true intentions.

To me...that 50% divorce rate speaks volumes.
Molly...

About the confusion of love and marriage.

In the U.S., one of the ways to allow a foreign person over here is through a fiance visa. That requires the two people to marry within 90 days.
Johnny,

You needed to get a lawyer who specializes in international fiancée situations to work for you. It all would’ve cost you about 34.99 and pint of JD... and ten years of ball and chain. grin
I agree Robert...but your cost of one of those is a little off. laugh

I watched countless YouTube videos related to this subject and many said that you don't need a lawyer, and I agree when it comes to a visa...it is when you apply for citizenship that things get serious and very expensive.
Yet, still Xanthea won’t agree, completely. doh
Johnny,

You should have called lawyer Curt Delay. He delays the court til he gets his way.

Or lawyer Jack Hoffman

Or Lawyer Benna Ohver

beer
Curt DeLay sounds classy too. laugh
laugh Robert

laugh laugh women have been approaching you for a long time..especially in Vegas. rolling on the floor laughing
But in Vegas Robert, they want you to buy dinner, movies, and the Romantic Roberts.

I say...yay to feminism and equality. grin
Johnny,

You gotta buy drinks, dinner, condiments regardless. So, what’s the difference? dunno

grin
Johnny,

Come on, you know me. I try to be suave shampoo with the ladies. Cool, huh? cool
I think you either try to hard Robert....or not hard enough with the ladies.

Why don't you sit back, put your feet up...and let all those ladies just come up to you...like you are throwing seeds on the ground at the part...and the pigeons are just swarming you. They are pecking at each other....trying to get to you first. Just like pigeons Robert.

laugh
Like that ole joke where the guy says, “My wife’s getting pregnant tonight and I gotta hurry home to be there.”

Or. that joke where the ole guy has a heart attack and dies while making it with a younger women. He came and went at the same time.”

You mean talk like that? confused
::laugh:
If you like the smell of her hair, you start playing with “it.”

That’s disgusting! doh
rolling on the floor laughing
Johnny,

One of my friends, he told me when he got married, it was hard.

His wife told me, when they got married, she had to be more open to him.

I didn’t understand either of them laugh
I can think of 3 different times I have done that Robert...playing....well, touching it anyway and sticking my nose in it. laugh
Robert, you got a one track mind....I think I know how you interpreted your friend and his wife. laugh

but, what do I know. lol
Okay, Johnny,

Time for me to hit the hay with the silk screened pillows.

It’s been fun. Thanks for all the jokes and kidding around.

Have a cool fun night. cheers
k....Robert....

been fun.

cheers

good night and may the silk screens be with you.

laugh tongue
A box of special made chocolates. banana
Molly...pretty much....

LaF....pretty much...

lol

wave wave
Just go with the flow & what will be will be.
There are some situations in life that call for that....I think anyway.

Merc...can I ask you a question?

I have had a couple of drinks tonight....so, I feel this is the perfect night for such a question.

What is up with your current picture?

You are such a beautiful woman and this picture...I feel...does you no justice.
Johnny I'm representing my footy team who has a chance to be in the Grand Final tomorrow night..You don't need to drink to ask me questions laugh
@JohnnyS

You kept saying that. Now, if you are really a numbers guy, what is the figure of divorce rate of American men-each country women marriages (including American men-Filipino women marriages)? and what is that of American men-American women marriages? dunno
Merc...got it....good luck to your team!

Kal....good question and I looked for those numbers and I could not find them anywhere. ....so, I had to use the next best thing.
Johnny, just decide to be in the 50% that doesn't get a divorce.
