Good Catches

I, and I'm sure some of you do too, view other members and think, 'Yeah, they would be a good catch'

Don't get me wrong, not necessarily for myself, but for somebody.

There would be both men and women on here that I would think that about.
That they should not be single and hope that the right person sees what I see in them.

Of course, the natural 'matchmakers' see these things, and actively try to find a suitable partner for them laugh

Me, nope. I just hope somebody sees what I see in them heart wings

Of course there are the 'others' too. The ones that you recoil in horror at when you see somebody nice being lured into their web. help
But that's another blog laugh

I think I would only consider if they are a match for me. I'd be reading her profile thinking yeah alright, then get to the 12 cats or whatever, and think not for me. I guess I have the human curiosity of wondering if she ever met a guy who also has 12 cats, or just really bonds well with her cats, but I wouldnt stay awake all night pondering.
Gg, I'll admit to being one of those shallow ones

If I am not physically attracted to somebody, it simply won't happen.

It's dry here now, do I'm going to go out and enjoy it grin
Pat, maybe everybody else does that too, only checks for themselves.

I mean more though about people you actually get to know, not just random profiles.

Your cat family sounds like a feline Brady Bunch
I think Pat is a good catch for Molly.
Incu, go have a coffee and come back with something I might be able to actually answer laugh
Patnips if I got rid of some of the Cats do I stand a chance ? cats meow daisy I want to live in a sunny country with a sunny man.
Lol.. not gonna happen today I'm afraid.. I'm laying off on the coffee coz I have a whole month of fasting starting tomorrow.. angel

Which also means I probably won't be coming here for a whole month so try not to miss me guys.. wink
Molloy ~ have you never met a man, who was initially not your 'type' as in, you didnot think him that attractive, but as your meeting him went on, and you listened to his intelligence, with, had a laugh, you decided that there was a spark, and gave him a chance? went on the date, and ended up in a long relationship?

In other words he became attractive to you ?grin
Baig is it Ramadan? I never really think of that as a fast, not in the real sense, as you eat after sunset.
So really you have one good meal a day . I am not saying it isnot hard, it is spiritually good for you.
Best of luck, and I hope you have a good Ramadan. Masalama.wave
Incu, you can eat something after dark maybe? a month is pretty long.

With the cats, do what you have to do, I dont want to be the reason you euthenase several of them. But I have some crab pots you can borrow,
Maybe its different there, I put them on ice and they sleep. Anything I catch and eat has a clean exit from this world.
Well well I can only talk for myslef,

Its the time of the year to go bird watching...

peace peace
Pat.. yea man we can eat after dusk.. so its not that bad.. plus I've been doing this since I was 9 so you kinda get used to it.. wink
Mimiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii pointing

Thanks so much for your wishes.. hug

You're right... the food in Ramadhan is off the hook!! lol

But I generally restrain myself and try to stick with what I normally eat in the other 11 months.. grin
I think not eating food during the day would be good for your body, but I think you should always drink water whenever thirsty. But yeah, I imagine after some time you must get used to it a bit.
Molly, I've played matchmaker several times over here....two couples actually did spend some time together but unfortunately couldn't take the relationship anymore further...blues

Heck! I even tried to matchmake Art with somebody else, thinking that the woman could do with some of his jokes! After much pleading, he gave in, reluctantly. It backfired. I soon realised my terrible mistake. He made me promised not to ever do it again!

P.S That incident was before his visit to Malaysia.
I think everyone is a good catch for someone...they just need to have the right connection. The perfect catch for me might be the worst for you and vice versa.

Everyone has different characteristics and personality...but I believe a person has a perfect match somewhere, somehow...
Gg, no, if I don't fancy someone, I'm never going to. So friendship is as good as it gets for that person.
Re. Ramadan, is it not counter-productive to have lovely food fairs when you have to fast? help
Bloody, thanks for that bouquet

Mimi, you are one of the people I thought of when I mentioned matchmakers laugh
Fly, I hope you catch a bird as well as looking bouquet
Crazy yes and no.

Yes, a wife-beater will find a woman with no self-confidence.

Yes, a bitter twisted woman will find a man who just doesn't want to be alone.

That is a connection

But that doesn't mean they are perfect for each other.

There are lots of mismatched unhappy couples out there.

I'm gone again for another while wave
Molly,

yes, that's what I meantdoh rolling on the floor laughing
I tried to get Mimi with any spanish man so she would come to spain and live near me. Made her visit every spanish guys profile but she only had eyes for her yankee. I'm not good as a matchmaker.

I'm just surprised that all the people on this that are single don't make an effort in meeting..They can spend years in a LDR or even when they live a 2 hr drive not even try to have a coffee
Other thing that surprises me is seeing the people that are married or not single/not they get the action, why do they waste their time with someone that is already taken.. Are they really here to find someone or just have some entertainment.
Baig My sister is Muslim so I do know something of Ramadan. I didnot mean to be rude. I just have seen some people who fast all day, and so hard to do in very high temperatures, [like where you live 40c] ? and go all day and then have something to eat.

I just meant, to get the best physically from it, and spiritually, it is better not to have a huge feast, ~As I have seen some people do.

I wish you well. I know that alms are given to the poor and there is so much good done during this time.
It is wonderful to see Mimi and Crazyheart and people like yourself who keep this wonderful tradition going.
My neighbour likes the side effect of losing weight as well, as the body gets used to the Ramadan once a day dinner, and seemingly eats up Fat, not muscle during the Ramadan period.
Hi Ish!! and she's off to Spain anyway applause

(I'm so good, I resisted a dancing banana laugh hug )
Yes, all thanks to my Yankee! snooty snooty giggle

Molly ~ Whatever floats your boat I guess. Nobody can object to beauty and a handsome man either.
You could miss out on a very loving , intelligent, witty, marvellous man who would love you forever..... and be your soulmate? But, if you have to have the looks, nomore to say.... Shallow !laugh

The sky outside has been dark steel grey since 8am and I just went to front door, the smell of fresh ozone and the lushness of the green is beautiful, even if I cannot get out.

Ah you cannot beat Ireland.
GG you make it sound like they are the last few people who still give up chocolate for Lent laugh

Have you ever tried the 2 day a week fasting diet? there are undoubted health benefits (over and above weight loss)
maybe their is someone somewhere till then we just follow the sun and live in hope ....so many here are people who have no sense saying things like im younger than I am what nonsense and others saying I fits in better with young people .....these people for me are a no no have not lived are not comfy been the age they are also unhappy with their looks is pityfull really.sometimes I think if no pics were allowed it could be better were all drawn to looks but in life its not like that my friends are not friends for looks ..and theirs some here so out of touch with reality it beggars belief habve a good day enjoy the sun its bloody wet here now
GG your comment didn't come off as rude at all.. I totally understood what you meant.. smile

I agree that the traditional cuisine and the binge style is totally unhealthy and I keep telling people to stop doing that but sadly its become the norm everywhere and people just can't seem to give it up.. frustrated

Thanks again for your wishes.. wave
Biff ~ I always gave up something for lent, also I am old enough to remember fasting from midnight to sometimes 12 am the following morning for Holy Communion, it was tough on a young girl of 8.
I always gave up chocolate, sweets, T.V. and sugar in my tea which I never returned to, Ciggies etc.,

I have the book, the 2 days eat only 500 cals and the rest of the week eat what you like, I am reading it again for 2nd time, it does seem to work, but the 2 days on 500 Cals are miserable.

Paleo, no bread, moping No Sugar. No f--k--g life !!wine pizza drink pouring
GG you've reminded me of the boarding school years, I'd managed to block that completely! Supper on Saturday at 6 pm, no food until after communion at 11 am the next day - in fact if the Sunday was one of our days out (6 hour exeant every other week) nothing until we got home, by which time the family dog was at serious risk of being eaten as it charged up to say hello.

sigh
Yep banana banana banana for sure I would be a good catch grin just no-one has caught me yet super rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
AND LADIES i am lucky nothing yet nothing stops me from eating doing what I want when I want now that i am an OLDIE rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
As a tree top catch here and elsewhere, along with being an absolute paragon of modesty, it's hard to argue with the logic here on these posts concerning top catches, good and bad. Aa.
Molly

I seem not to know who and what is a good catch anymore. People pretend well and sometimes those who we perceive to be bad are actually the good ones with a few scruples and flaws.
Sorry, should be with few scruples and flaws.
I have wondered about that as well. Maybe some of the seemingly good catches are not really ready for commitment or are expecting too much. I suspect I am not really a good catch so don't even try to find someone here. For starters...no one my age wants to live in the woods and I can never live in an apartment or small plot in the suburbs. Some of the good catches maybe have similar problems.dunno
