How do you fall in love.

The first person who shows you some genuine interest....does that do it?

The first person that says they will pull their pants down and let you do them...does that do it?

The first person that tells you that they love you...does that do it?

The first person to talk to you....does that do it?

The first person that touches you anywhere on your body...does that do it?

Yes?

No?

Then how?

Ghosting

The biggest obstacle and beef I have with dating sites everywhere nowadays is that men ghost. Now I’m not singling men out because women do it too. I’m just saying men because that’s who I prefer to date but what’s with that? I have sooo many questions and examples as far as that goes. Such as someone matching with me and I match with them and then they disappear? Okay did you not look at my profile in the first place and then look at it when I finally matched with you? That’s just strange to me because I never match with someone UNLESS I’ve read their profile first.

Another example is when we match with each other and talk and then if I don’t get back to them right away then I’m deleted? Like you can’t wait until I reply?! That’s total BS man. Great online dating is a thing of the past. Everyone is suspicious of everyone else or people see someone better and go to them or people don’t even bother to read profiles anymore.

I don’t even date anymore because there’s no point. It doesn’t go anywhere fast nowadays. Lol. I don’t know how people are meeting each other anymore because it still happens all the time, I see it. It’s an enigma. confused dunno yawn

The Key to a Successful Relationship

May not be linked to external trappings such as .jobs, income, appearance, etc., — these tend to "come and go."

Instead it may be Relational Self-Awareness , which is defined as "the ability to take a curious stance vis a vis yourself."

"People who don't have much relational self-awareness tell stories (especially love stories) that are full of blame and shame. They tend to cast themselves as victims and other people as suckers, losers, or fools."

On the other hand, a relationally self-aware person might say something like, "It wasn't the right time for us," or "It was painful, but I learned from the experience."

"Without relational self-awareness, what happens is I slip into into blame — I see it as your fault because I'm blind to my own role in it — or I slip into shame — because I'm not paying attention to your role and I'm convinced that I'm the problem and I ruined the whole thing."

A relationally self-aware partner will realize that you both messed up and "ended up way down this rabbit hole of misunderstanding."

How do you recognise the lack of self-awareness in somebody (or in yourself)?

Pay attention to how they talk about their past relationships; see if they always blame others for every bad thing that has happened to them; see how they treat a waiter who brings an incorrect drink; see how they deal with another road user, etc.

Basically, when the sh1t hits the fan, how do they react.

Can you improve their self-awareness?
Improve your own, and let them learn from you.

Batman can do whatever he wants(apology to batgirl)

Hello batgirl(you know who you are it’s just that the site doesn’t wish us to reference people...oh wait...that was MD...anyway...),

What I said to you in the past on here was not necessary. This site is minuscule compared to my long running friendship with Batman in real life. I’m sorry for my outburst and I hope you’ll forgive me. I’m not the jealous type. It’ll never happen again.

Batman took me on as his companion long ago and I need to realize that. I’m not going anywhere.

Signing off...

i see a lot of wise ladies here, this Q is for them ONLY. cause most men are jerks. after dating for over a year it looks to me that there is a middle ground between friendship and romance that i cant get past with any ladies. they STOP at the end of friendship. i now have 5 ladies as reg friends. and this is wanderful. iam honered to have them as friends. BUT i want romance. and i DONT mean sex. frustrated

I am a treasure girl...

I'm seeing some 'lights are on, but no one is home' dating site Dé·jà vu. I believe this place is running on autopilot right now. It looks familiar to the scenario of other (now defunct) sites where absent management became apparent.
Hopefully, I'm wrong.
My indicator is the amount of fraudulent profiles stacking up for the last 3 months. In two days I counted more than 20 new profiles with different photos of the same woman and her opening line is "I am a treasure girl" That is about half of the new membership so far this week.
While most of the bogus profiles send out messages and never return. Reporting them used to get their profiles deleted. The bad part (for the company) is it affected the numbers of new membership. Now, it appears more have joined the site, because the bogus ones are still here. Something that looks good if the place is up for sale. Lots of new profiles (real or fake) means more clicks and revenue from the advertisers.

I'm only basing my opinion on profiles of the women. That's all I check. My guess it could be the same for men's profiles. So as a whole, when someone says "This place is crawling with scammers" that statement has become true.
