So I met a guy via internet dating ~ a pilot. yep I know the statistics. Couldn't wait to meet me...messaged every day and actually still does returning to Australia. He has been away a year working in a muslim country. Anywayz everytime I kinda hint at a date he apparently is still suffering jet lag and culture shock. I stopped messaging and he rang and rang quite offended saying he is just having his breather. Asked without even considering my life yesterday hey babe shall I buy wine and drop over. I refused as I was actually busy. He was very offended. WTF is my brain not wired properly.

. . .but are afraid of the consequences of that, if/when they take it out of context?

I've been talking to this guy for a few months. Even went out to Florida last month, to help care for him after having screws surgically removed from his ankle; which he was ordered to keep elevated for 2 to 3 weeks, Post-Op.

While staying in his apartment, it became very clear to me that he and I are not compatible enough. VERY very close. Soooo close, but no cigar kinda shiznit.

The weird thing is, I truly love and appreciate him. Like I feel so much for him in my heart, but the connection isn't strong enough to make anything. Plus there was zero tantra, so of course that made the whole thing dead in the water (apart from other SERIOUS concerns).

People often confuse "I Love You" with "I'm IN LOVE With You" <<<< this sh*t right here is not cool; drama follows swiftly with that kinda b.s.

It makes me sad, because the other day, I felt him so deeply in my heart and wanted so badly to tell him I love you. However, the backlash once this ends - because it WILL - is so not phukking worth me even saying it.

Me personally sees it as a big turn off.

The other day, when I had lunch with my father, I touched on a taboo subject. His latest girlfriend! My sister and I had a long chat about this beforehand and in the end it fell on me to speak to him. It is not always easy to be the eldest.

I told him she is up to no-good and the he should let her go. He looked at me with a somewhat amused expression and said: “Life makes a complete circle”. Then he took a small a sip of his wine and asked how many times I obeyed him when he told me to get rid of a girlfriend. He dismissed me by giving the answer himself. Not once!

However, he did assure me (without any further prompting) that she is nothing serious and that if he should be so foolish to marry at his age, he’d marry his previous girlfriend who now lives in Gauteng. The short conversation did not spoil the day and we continued to enjoy our meal. For a change he even allowed me to pay the bill.

I don’t mind him having a lady friend. My mother died 16 years ago and he did not bother with women until about seven or eight years ago. Since then he had three lady friends. The first two resembled my late mother, both in looks and in mannerism. The first girlfriend died and the second relocated to another province to be with her children. They still have contact.

Both these ladies wanted to marry my father and have approached me several times, asking me to work on my dad regarding this matter. Of course I politely refused. Not that I would have minded if my dad married one of them. They were good women and they cared about him, but I was not going to be the matchmaker.

His latest girlfriend is a horse of another color. She is five years my junior and almost 30 years younger than my father. We think that she wants to scam him. This woman is pretty, sexy and streetwise. And her eyes are way too busy. My sister noticed it as well. I try to avoid her as far as I can without being rude. I’m scared that my father may think that I’m the one making eyes at her.

Now, I don’t think my father is stupid, but he’s been exposed to very few women. My mother was his first girlfriend and the women I mentioned here, represent the total sum of his experience with women.

If she makes him happy, I don’t have a problem but I’m not going to see him scammed out of his money to leave him short in his old age. She’s not looking at carving a future with him. My father is 88. How much longer can he live? And why else would a good-looking, intelligent woman be interested in an old man almost 30 years her senior?

Am I paranoid or am I right to be concerned?

I have not been writing much recently. I now appreciate more life in fact. When you are not ill, you never realize how good it is and how light and happy life can be. Once the person is ill, just a common natural behavior can be luxury.

I learn these in a bitter way. But I always know I will sort out my life,financially, emotionally. Only this way, you have the lightest package in life. You can face life more relaxingly.

Seems like everybody is going for the much coveted green card!

Much sought after by many, especially those from Asia.

Hmmm....... Maybe I should jump on the bandwagon and get myself a green card too, no?!?

So.......is there any good-hearted American out there who's willing to take in this terrible + miserable cook with greasy hair? I'd love very much to be able to get into America so that I could shop at Wal-Mart and eat at Taco Bell....and that...would be a dream come true....
