I was sitting beside my fathers grave and an injured bird sat close by, wanting to help him but unable to....but I like to think his wing was mended and he flew....I wrote this as sometimes we are like birds, our wings get broken and we have to learn to fly again.........I was visiting my dad for comfort and guidence, and the bird appeared....

Everyone judges poetry differently and many say this is not a poem/poetry, so what is really poetry and how do we really perceive it, you be the judge and please make comments, because in my eyes poetry is a true projection from your mind and how you put pen to paper. Written: 21st July 2013

"Random Acts of Kindness in Honor of a Little Boy" published on Yahoo. Here is an illustration of how the author of this Facebook entry feels after her "random act of kindness" and how she makes everyone happy: "I finally got the chance to 'Pay it Forward Jayden style'," wrote Troy-Ciera Rill on Tuesday. "I was sitting in the drive through at McDonalds & bought a $10 gift card for the 2 guys in the car behind me. The girl at the drive through was touched & I loved seeing the expression on their faces when she gave it to them! Its such an inspiration that your son has put on people. God Bless & Merry Christmas!" So let us remember, that “Somehow, not only for Christmas, But all the long year through, The joy that you give to others, Is the joy that comes back to you. And the more you spend in blessing, The poor and lonely and sad, The more of your heart's possessing, Returns to you glad.” -- John Greenleaf Whittier
I know that I should make it on my own. These words came to me as I reflected on the reasons I was given as to why I got no help.
No prizes for guessing where the inspiration for this one came from.....Hope you enjoyed it all the same.....Andrew.....xxx
From my early age the only questions i have were Why, but at that time I wanted to know answers.
Thought I’d never be so lonely, Clouds will scatter that blight my life. Thought I’d never feel so lonesome, Wonder whether it's day or night. Days are passed in tiresome longing, Do I mind? Oh, I do not mind. Never thought I’d feel so loneso
When Queen Cleopatra died, her servant Charmian is supposed to have summed up her life thus: "She died worthy of someone who has walked in the foot-steps of so many Kings..." To the people of the Middle East and North Africa- out of whose book we can all take a leaf...
If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about,

Don't be afraid to lift your wings And soar through life each day Find joy and love and happiness As you go along your way. Life is steeped with ups and downs And troubles not so fun at times, Chin up high and shoulders back We meet

A FEW LINES TO EXPRESS THE GIFT OF LIFE IS OURS TO MAKE THE MOST OF IT AND NOT RELY ON FALSE PROMISES.
The song "Nadezhda" (Hope, also a woman's name) sung by Anna German. I used to love this song very many years ago - seems like eternity has passed. Just memories surfacing for a moment and vanishing again. You can also listen and enjoy the singer's beautiful voice. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x87m4m_anna-german-nadiezda_music
I believe in my own Spiritsoul feeling when in tune with the Holy Trinity
The ROUNDEL is a deritave of rondeau and rondine... It has eleven lines constructed from two quatrains, and a triplet. The rhyme scheme only has two rhymes and a refrain from the first phrase of first line, thus, the second line rhymes with the refrain:.. a. b. a.B . b. a. b . a. b. a. B.. example: If he could know my songs are all for him, At silver dawn or in the evening glow, Would he not smile and think it but a whim, If he could know? Or would his heart rejoice and overflow, As happy brooks that break their icy rim When April's horns along the hillsides blow? I may not speak till Eros' torch is dim, The god is bitter and will have it so; And yet to-night our fate would seem less grim If he could know. --- Sara Teasdale
Lets learn to be happy, Lets see only kindness in faces, Lets get up in the morning with pure smiles And lets love each other without any bad expectations. Lets beleive in our thoughts and lets walk throuh this life with lightness and stren
I was close with an Lady 2 years ago and when we walk outside on my Property, she stop to walk and was looking up to the sky. I did then the same and I could see a Bird circling around going higher and higher like in a spiral and already so very high that it was diving some times into the cloud. She then said to me," I had really like to be that bird and fly high in the sky" and then she clearly followed with like pain in her voice," but my Parents never give me Wings"!

Just a little encouragement for a change. Borrowed this title from the thread title of an Indian CS member, for which I am thankful to him.
While looking for S. T. Coleridge’s “The Rime of Ancient Mariner” at Macduff’s kind suggestion I came across “Pain” by the same author, which touched my soul due to its relevance to whatever old age refers to. The poem I wrote was inspired by “Pain” by S. T. Coleridge.
How cold and empty Is the inner life If you can`t give The rich inside the heart. So lonly and sad Is your soul Because you want And nobody takes From you a part. But like flowers Which are sown, And from earth In light those grow,
