GOOGLE, Why are you for art thou in our life?

Google, I don't really appreciate your ever present place
Quit trying to get up in all my business and my space
You must think that you're so big and just "all that"
When all you really are is invasive, pushy and too fat

Dial it down a notch we don't need you for everything in our life
Yeah, you are useful, but come on, you add to a fair amount of strife
We are in control and dismissing all the ad clutter is getting tiring
What we really want to do is some good old fashioned quitting or firing

Give us a break we're not all invalids, dependents or shopaholics
Oh, we're not using all the latest apps? Just some more sneaky tricks
The apps come with advertising and it is redundant and too much
Keeping us in over choice not to mention your sticky tentacles and clutch

Oh, Google, you were and still are the best of times and worst of times its true
As you've grown too big, too smart and greedy that we can't even bid you adieu
Yay, we're in a love hate relationship based on monopoly and necessity, its funny
Ah! It's the future! So we better put on our thinking caps and follow all the money

About this poem:
A little tongue and cheek rant on the pervasive presence of the controllers, and yes Google is in on it, don't ever think they are not!

Joe Biden Parody Speech

Once again the Democratic committee hand picked who they wanted
The people wanted Bernie Sanders
Instead the people got me
I think I'm better than Hillary Clinton
And thankfully the economy is in the crapper
So I'll have a better chance this time around
As far as my accomplishments
Umm....
I did help a child who stutters just like I used to
That's something, right?
So vote for me America
Or you'll have another four years of making fun of the orange man
Donald Trump!

About this poem:
I was listening to the Democratic National Convention this week. My favorite quote was "While Rome burned, Nero fiddled, and while America burned, Trump played golf."

Ball Game

Take me out to the ball game
Take me out to the crowd
Give me Corona and Crackerjacks
I don't care if I never get back
Root root root for the home team
If they don't win it's a sin
For it's 1 0 4 and you're out of the whole ball game!

About this poem:
I wrote this parody of Take Me Out To The Ballgame last year when the corona virus was shutting down all sports. I remember seeing the Minnesota Twins play on TV in a bar in Minnesota and seeing cardboard cutouts of people in the stands.

Rabbit foot as Medicine!

Cryptic,cryptic is the word,
yes,if you want to be heard.
So telling openly and straight,
there are attacks on your fate.

To make everything as fun,
all serious are questioned and done.
Grasshoppers are singing the summer song,
as ants prepare for the winter long.

If you want to hear for more,
then you have to turn for lore.
We have to find the medicine best,
that's the only way to make the test.

Rabbits,Rabbits in the garden,
use your gun, they are the target.
No matter they are evil spirits in the real,
just slaughter them to get the protecting seal.

Rabbit foot is all you need,
the rest you trow for worms to feed.
Master Medicine is then in hands of you,
no evil can harm you, that's then the true.

No matter you see Rats around or in the mirror,
Rabbits foot as Medicine, take them all to zero.
The same if smelling poo around,
pay heed of Medicine and all is sound.

This is the wisdom of the past,
so for sure the Medicine can last.
Just take the instruction seriously here,
and never anymore feel fear.

Prejudice

Prejudice is generated thoughts given strength by a folly of feelings and actions sometimes confirmed by differences, personal experiences, fear and ignorance. Historically our differences has divided us rather than united us, simply because we lack understanding and tolerance. Misconceptions has fueled it's existence into long standing through, class distinctions, self identification, likes and dislikes and material possessions. As much as we can admit, we are bound by heritage and tradition.
Prejudice can be good and bad, it gives us the latitude of choice but it should not give us the power to hate, to transport or take away freedoms from others that they can't control. Prejudice is primary based on differences and disallowed concessions to embrace change and unlikeness. We sometimes unknowingly project our prejudices on others by being so stern or steadfastly rooted in self-proclaimed truths that restricts us from considering other points of view or to embrace differences.
Prejudice impedes our ability to reach higher heights of social conscientiousness to cope with visual, intellectual or physical perceptions engulfed by perceived thoughts of how things should or should not be. We all can be enriched by learning from others and by shedding inward and outer conflict when we dedicate ourselves to being a bridge builder. Crusader's chart new paths and bring people together nurturing them into maturity not to abandon self-characterization or identification but to understand others or that which is different.

A Bad Day

Woke up at 3 am
Couldn't get back to sleep
I worried till 6 am about all things deep
The stolen election by Hillary and my crappy job
So mad where my life is that I wish I had a grenade to lob
I arrive at work, my stomach in knots
I feel like a bucket of fish heads left to rot
The day goes by painfully slow, the jerk starts to yell
Want so bad to punch him in the head like a dinner bell
Feelin depressed, feeling paranoid
If I could just get a job where I could avoid
All these mean people that are everywhere
Even my mean dad likes to blare
So where is heaven cause this sure feels like hell
My only escape it seems is watching sitcoms with women like Nell
Gimme a Break! like the show says
I harken back to the old days when I ate candy like PEZ

About this poem:
I have the day off today which I am thankful for. There are certainly people with worse days than this. Like George Carlin said, "What do white people have to be blue about? White people have to realize their job is to give people the blues, not to get them."

Our Generation

When we are old
wrinkled and crippled
with one foot
in the grave
destined to a house
with a room
where we sit
stareing
at a blank screen tv
while on our knees
we dribble
as our fluoride calcifide brain
decays to the last stage
before our posioned lungs
noisely sucks in
the last breath
of dirty air
as our ignorance
slowly fades
will it only be then
that a single
regretfull tear
will slowly travel
though the canyons of our corrupted face
when at last
we finaly understand
it was
our generation
that created this place
where honesty is batterd
day by day
while the skeletal minds
of our children
reap all
that we have sown
does it hurt
now that you know
that denile
was never your friend

Still on your knees eh

One cannot walk
this path
that shines
this path
that has been
carved
through the concrete jungles
of lies and deceit
through the rotting smell
of corruption and greed
where there are people
who lurk within
people
who have nothing
but stunted twisted
seedless thoughts
on the need
to keep you
and your children
submissive
compliant
weak
on your knees
so they can feed
on your blood
sweat
and tears

One cannot walk
upon this path
that has been
carved
through the concrete jungle
of lies and deceit
this path
that now shines
dimly
though the falling mist
of broken tears
that lay gently
upon the scattered bones
of those
who stood their ground
who held
their head up high
and carved this path
though the jungle of lies
trying all alone
to put things right
for the young
for those
who have yet to arrive

One cannot
walk this path
that has been carved
though this concrete jungle
of lies and deceit
though the rotting smell
of corruption and greed
one cannot join
those who are left
who stubbornly continue
to walk
this lonely path
that has been carved
by those who came
before them
those
who got off their knees
to carve this path
to help the kids

GHOST

Hunger gnaws at my innards
But I have no money
And nowhere to call home

I drift past shop windows
Where I can see people inside eating
To the point of gluttony

But I might as well be a ghost

About this poem:
A sad fact is that the homeless and destitute in our society might as well be ghosts. They are mostly ignored and overlooked as if they did not exist.
