The white-hot sphere of history
tarnishes the cerulean sky
as rigorous dust fills the streets
of the city now strangely foreign,
its pastel morning no longer confident
in the chromatic scale of its own weather
as vigorous citizens become
machinery of a ticking clock.
Bleeding dark roasted air,
blistered bodies and shattered screams,
the avenues of flags and industry
we once admired and favored
now long shadows
of a thousand points of light
on the high wall of a violent smoky sky
as peace fades in a trice
like the first syllable of the wind.

"I'm gonna cut you off" he says
the small view gang man of Juarez
hollow points and hollowed head
detached triggers pulled and bled
the reasons lost, the lives tossed
no matter, no sense, the lines crossed
can we make sense in drug induced times
of bluntly unworthy familial crimes
power and money and money and power
humanity we snort and slowly devour
who's the culprit who's the victim
the police can't save the judges dictum
we all have died a little death
when children die and kill for meth

I woke up just the other day
Everything I once knew and loved
Was suddenly taken away
So I went to see someone
Who could open the door
He screamed back you're not what we're lookin for
So follow your footsteps
Right back out that door
Everythings not the same
I think the world is going insane
I'm so sick and tired of what I see
I feel like the whole world is blaming me
Not a word is spoken when he slams the door
I told you you're not what we're lookin for
Look around can you all see the mess
Can we all do with out can we live with less
I don't care what you say anymore
Are you deaf! you're not what we're lookin for
You don't know how tough life can be
I need some money can you help me today
My life is missing its been stripped away
When I'm back on my feet I'll repay you and more
So shut your mouth and don't be sore
I almost forgot you're not what we're lookin for
I drove around lookin for a friendly face
Theres got to be someone left from the human race
I drove on up to the packy store
A man started banging on the side of my door
Back right up this is not your store
Your still not what we're lookin for
I don't know if this is all a dream
Or my nightmare waiting for the very next scene
In a world so bitter and full of hate
Is this all we have is this our fate
I'm feeling a little tired weak and sore
Theres that voice you're not what we're lookin for
I've finally reached the end of this day
They say I'm worthless don't waste there time
They wont listen or hear anything I say
Is it too much to ask I'm not commiting a crime
I think I'll push the button and start a war
Maybe then I'll be the person there lookin for!!!

About this poem:
Witnessed this incident yesterday where guilt was written all over a girl's
face as she was confronted of something wrong she's done. Made me think why humans tend to find it easier to justify the action or become defensive instead of accepting and apologising. The good thing is in this case the young girl has a healthy conscience, guilt made her do the right thing in the end...adults are not that much different.

Since I'm going to say anything to get elected
And I'm hoping you'll believe my lies
Here's a few other things I want you to swallow
Smoking three packs a day is good for you
Chimpanzees make good house pets
Gambling is a great investment and will get you rich
Eating donuts will make you lose weight
Dinosaurs were made extinct by cave men
Barack Obama is a great president
So was George
Hitler is in heaven
Drones are here to protect you
Cook you turkey for 350 minutes at 180 degrees
The Cubs will win the World Series next year
The Bears will win the Super Bowl too
Bigfoot lives twenty miles northeast of Seattle
The Loch Ness Monster isn't seen much because he's really shy
Aliens would reveal themselves, but they like playing head games
So when you go to the voting booth, vote for me
Not that other jerk!

About this poem:
Some of the lies are really pretty funny, if you look at it like a standup routine, and not the truth.

[zHis falling tears are like thunder,
\Yet only heard by one
But the world would never know he whimpered
knowing less that he had lost.
Mans worth? His power to weep.
We see hurt on the faces of those we love.
A false smile, a slight facial twitch from pain
concealed, digested by their soul
We scream for answers we do not have,
To questions they never ask.
Mans worth, His power to weep.
Their tears are bred from independence
But we are not gods.
Our worth? Our power to weep
holding the weeping silent they scream ino themselves
And in their blindness, from tears held back ,
They see our helplessness,
Then their worth is found in their power to weep,
For us!
But their final thought? "My tears must never reach the light"
Man's worth? His power to weep for man.

About this poem:
Men don't cry. Some do, not many. Ithought how excruciating to pretend you don't hurt for that is when it hurts most.
"Cry and you cry alone, But laugh and the world laughs with you

Freedom some say is something to fight for
Was that before or after the war’s won
So each generation will fight this war
Always finishing what was left undone
Scarce the peace ‘till another battle fought
Does dust ever settle on warring tribes
Pouring lead down barrels of guns have brought
Only nation’s wealth paying off the bribes
One life to live, another give away
Really amount to anything that much
For in the end we go our merry way
And only the past becomes out of touch
What matters most in life is love we share
And showing each other how much we care

Why does it seem
at the very first look
The bigger the girl
The quicker the hook
The prettier the girl
she wont even look
The smarter the girl
shes already took
If she is so strong
shes harder to touch
But if she had a big heart
I could love her so much
So many men
hurt so many girls
its amazing to me
they are still in this world

On the paper the nos are
One to forty nine
Which order they want to be played
To find those lucky six
Which order will the play
I'll put pen to paper and make then in any way
Or play a lucky dip and cross my finger hope come out for me today
The chance of winning
The odds are stacked
I curse and frown having to find two pound
But maybe I'll find a few quid
Play my lotto and win a few more quid

We are sucked into the toe
a creeping silent body
We were stolen
Girls, Nigeria
Stolen
We cry
We know
We are alone
Is any body out there!
