Who Rules this World

I believe its the

"Clock Timer"
Guy

Held in the highest Esteem of
The
"Time Changers"

He has many hands to his time
Throughout the worlds

He can bend time
Forward Backward

The High Priest of Time

Is already here
has been

You are All aware

A sleep of later
A wake of early
morning

My pretty flowers
amused at the dawning

Drive

Life is like a long trip on a short road
There are so many thing to behold
Many drive straight
Many drive reckless
Many drive drunk
Each of us is unique
Each drives a different car
Each looks at life differently
Some look too long at the road in front of them
And forget to look up ahead at the obstacles in their way
So live as you should drive
Look out from yourself and don't live too close to yourself
Try not to examine the mistakes
Don't dwell on the past
Be a nonconformist
If your true self does not accept the values of the majority
Better to live your life the way you would like it
Than live your life to please the values of others

About this poem:
Found this in an old notebook from 1990. I was in college back then and working at Hardee's. Plenty of time for self reflection in between those two pursuits.

a governments legacy

this city has a spire in the middle,
the needle of irelands despair,
cost us money and lots of our riches,
this is our city so fair,
a government in ruling our ruination,
as the clock in the liffey stood still,
time it is running out,
a country so wild ,
yet so beautiful,
yet this is all we have got,
rocked by mass unemployment,
emegration heavy on everyones heart.
a government yes they destroyed us,
as they made us pay for what they ill got,
bailing out these so called scrouges,
fair is the state of our nation ,
poor in everyones heart,
this is the state of our nation.
rich and peasants miles apart,
gambling our childrens futures,
as job creation,
plays a nessary part,
now this is the state of our country,
ireland a nation in despair

Serenity

When the school bell rang,
she purposely missed the bus;
avoided all the hoopla,
the noise,
the obnoxious,
the bullies,
the sound of cuss.

While they sat around
pretending to be cool,
she ran her heart out
ran away from the fools.

They all seemed to blend;
blend into the night;
the next day...
it would start all over
as she cowered in fright.

They were the bullies
the power of numbers,
the rats creeping
under the bus seats.

She would close her eyes,
lift her feet,
pretending to blend...
became an overwhelming feat.

So she learned to run.
She ran and ran and ran
day after day...
all the way home
as the screaming bus
passed away.

Serenity.

Distractions

All the news talks about is the cops killing black people
The commercials selling pills that poison
Drones flying overhead
The weight loss diets
Cell phones
Endless gadgets that require vast amounts of money to maintain
distractions from peace
distractions from our connections to others
distractions from our connection to God
distractions from our connection to nature
Time we will never get back
Time to rest
Materialism
The cult of it's not important how you feel, but how you look
Lies told to scare
Lies told to make obedient consumers of us
Consumers of worthless crap

About this poem:
Just thinking of all the things that the media pumps us with that really is just propaganda. We need to spend more time getting right with ourselves and each other, than hitting the malls for the latest gadget.

Mama Said There Were No Monsters

Mama said there were no monsters, as she tucked me into bed
I believed her without question and lay down my weary head
to taste the blessed slumber found only in sweet youth
before we've held the hands of time and awaken to the truth.
For thirty odd years later, the question still remains ~
If there really are no monsters why so many victims slain?

Mama said there were no monsters, but I think she may have lied.
I now believe, without a doubt, they flourish worldwide
for I saw their gross reflection in the tears a stranger wept;
a single blast of hateful glee no one could intercept.
I heard them in the keening of a heart no comfort found
I feel them in the fear that stalks as I walk their hunting grounds

Mama said there were no monsters, as she tucked me into bed
how I wish I could believe her as I rest my graying head!
I wish I could recapture the slumber of my youth
to dream again what I dreamed of then, before I learned the truth;
that monsters do indeed exist and are walking hand in hand
with the freedom we so cherish, like tiny grains of sand.

About this poem:
This was written in 2002 for the victims of the D.C sniper & their families.
I was living in the Metro area at that time, and will never forget the fear and sadness that engulfed our community for awhile.

THE WALK(of shame)

Good morning America.
We’re mourning America.
The, once great America,
Dear God save America.
What the hell is happening?
Crimes were once a bad thing.
The hypocrisy is maddening,
He’s why the world is laughing.
Now what of law and order?
Most look on in horror,
Seniors breaking bad
On Pennsylvania ave,
And he was proud as peacocks,
The former “king of New York”
My, my look what we’ve got,
Tempest in a teapot.
See the rich and powerful,
They too are accountable,
So I won’t shed a tear,
While justice has two tiers,
One for me and mine,
For whom she’s never blind,
In the life a day,
Rich men never pay!
Poor man chasing dreams,
These men devils’ schemes,
And I won’t say his name
The lies his claim to fame.
So let him do the perp walk,
Mugshots take them too,
And let the whole world watch
See what pride does to a fool!

About this poem:
Solemn past few days even for those of us not living there. Many will attempt to whitewash, to deny, to forget this momentous day in history and we cannot allow them to for the sake of democracy. Though we don’t know if he’ll ever be held accountable for his many transgressions no one is above the law! Be vigilant brothers and sisters many, even Christians have been deceived. To all I say It is never too late to embrace truth and chart a different path. Go forth in Gods grace and mercy!

World At War Within

The sickness lies inside
Eating as it hides
Until I come undone
And only It presides

Changes never known
Slowly start to bleed
I scream into silence
As your foolish' breed

Twisted tails spun from Desecration
We're losing our nation
For ignorance has taken it's toll

We try to deny it
By lying about it
Power is as precious as gold

The wheels keep on turning
The coal keeps on burning
Yet no one is learning
To read between the lines

The nation is 'perfect'
But no one could expect
The treachery to which we're confined

Enormous contingencies
Lies made from companies
Consumers stay diseased
By the amusement of their brainwashing

By casual choice
We make rejoice
In the obesity of our children

While others still cry
As they watch others die
From illness and starvation.

soliders die in vain

Over there our soldiers
are putting their lives
on the line and dying
to keep our country
protected, safe and free
while deranged gunman
shoots at all in sight
killing six and wounding
ten plus others three
judge and nine-year-old girl
included among those killed
so indiscriminately
causing each soldier’s death
to be a travesty.

Loughner, the slayer,
pulled trigger on the gun
with Kelly’s and Palin’s
vitriolic rhetoric and display
shooting fully loaded rifle
crosshairs of sight of gun
the opposition to stifle
Ellinwood, puppet spokesman,
seeing no possible connection.
With such blindness
leaders chose to lead
while others serving justice
lie prone on cold ground
to their death to bleed.

While each silence is heard
no longer the brave
no longer the free
no longer do we live
where each vote is counted
in a true democracy.

Faces

A face you appear and a face within
many faces with many, one face with some
one inside, another not so clear
one is a face inside out
make one in one and one of one my dear
face not one is a face lost
face a one is forever
