Vlad To The Bone

On the day I was elected
The Russians gathered round
And they gazed at a wonder
at the joy they found
But the Ukrainian spoke up
Said leave this one alone
She could tell right away
That I was bad to the bone
Vlad to the bone
Bad to the bone
V-V-V-Vlad, V-V-V-Vlad
Vlad to the bone
I broke a thousand hearts
Before I met you
I break a thousand more honey
Before I am through
I want your country pretty baby
Yours and yours alone
I'm here to yell ya honey
That I'm Vlad to the bone

Be aware of the vultures

The lying sewer rats have revealed themselves once again
a tale has surfaced without credit but begs to be king
this plague and disease has taken away innocent life
We all can see the scorpion in words published in a sting
the odour leaves an invisible stench deeply within souls rooted
Our nation has what it deserves corrupted evil swine
wallowing in self pity crying over spilt milk bad eggs
poor in spirit drunken by their lack of knowledge
wisdom is condemned as false doctrine to address logic
Where creeps the shadows over the truth sandwiched
hiding behind a mask the joker laughs at democracies fools
This world is falling into the pits of hell with rotten apples
at the helm they form a circle dividing people to core beliefs
brainwashed individuals follow their leaders backwards principles
God be with anyone who can think for themselves
because the trendy have lost all faith and love
they judge everyone by their own standards
afraid of the cross they bear malice against goodwill
Sin we all can see how you mutilate everything Holy
take one look into the heart of this problem unfolding
hide your face in shame as the day will come when you kneel

About this poem:
this planet is moving backwards with rigged political views

in those that go directly against the ten commandments

law has become a twisted act against creation and the virtues of human rights

Kabul's new dawn

Like a pack of cards its folding
scenes like the last days in Vietnam
helicopters flying the staff out
while the Taliban
roll through the streets
US reinforcements will be too late
the games up, the day is done
Afghanistan will be back
in the dark ages
God help the women
the educated
the free thinkers
life now under a rabble
of backward clerics
and armed goat herders

Bye Bye Bernie

Bye bye Bernie
Bye bye happiness
Hello lonliness
I feel I'm gonna cry
With all our hope goodbye
There goes my health care
There goes my free college tuition
There goes my 15 dollars an hour
There goes my voice
It will be replaced by a laughing witch and a rapist
Bye bye Bernie
Bye bye happiness
Hello lonliness
I think I'm gonna cry
With all my hope goodbye
And here's the reason I'm not free
Those bought off politicians stole it all from me

A parody of the Everly Brothers Bye Bye Love. Hillary seems to have it in the bag and Trump seems to be there to help her.

Kmart is Closing

Kmart is closing
And I know why
This Walmart effect makes me want to cry
The people have spoken with their money
But I don't think it is funny
The good jobs
Well they are going away
Being replaced by jobs with no pay
The benefits are too small
And the kids they are trying to raise just want to bawl
The internet is part of the problem too
Macy's stores are closing around you
So where are the people supposed to go
To reap what they sow
The billionaires laugh at the plight
Of this unfairness day and night
March is when Kmart is going to close
Get 20% off a pair of panty hose!

About this poem:
Saw two people standing with signs advertising 20% at Kmart today. The wind chill must be below zero. I am suprised they lasted this long. My job was cut two weeks after one of these Walmart superstores opened in 2006. For every one of these Walmarts that open, 300 jobs are cut from the community, and replaced by 330 Walmart jobs that have far lower pay and benefits.

Internet Set

Google, Amazon, Yahoo and Bing
Search engines with algorithms that swing
Keywords, rankings each tell their own unique tale
of failure or success, with every new sale
Twitter, Google and Facebook matter
Social networking to increase relevant chatter
The Internet is a world of its own
Clicking on links, a habit now grown
Website owners pay for impressions
Others make video sessions
Promotion and advertising are in the lead
Interesting news delivered as a feed
Whatever the topic, be it books or crooks
The Internet delivers all of these, disguised beneath good looks
Sex, drugs, p*dophile
Lunatics searching for juveniles
Harmful beings are on the loose
Bullies are trying to tighten the noose!

About this poem:
I wrote this poem in my spare time.
I am naturally a deep thinker and when I was young, the Internet did not exist. Neither did mobile phones for that matter.
I remember black and white TV in my early childhood.
The Internet has opened a new world but in my opinion, there is the good and the bad.
Children are more exposed now than ever before to the negative that social networking sites and the harm they can do when it comes to bullying. This is a very important issue which should be controlled by parents and gpvernment bodies and taken seriously.
Yes, children will lie about their age and many other things to join facebook and other networking sites but they shouldn't be able to until they reach a certain legal age.
Some people have strong characters and simply ignore nasty comments and can handle them. Other people are not so strong and this makes the vulnerable.
There are a lot of scammers and wicked people that will not stop at anything to deceive honest people on dating sites or simply steal personal information to put to bad use.
There is no point in pretending the Internet is all good because we are all intelligent enough to see what is good and what is not.
I hope you enjoy my poem.

Canadian Geese

I am getting tired of hearing about the wall
All the attention given to illegal aliens coming here
What about the animals coming over from our northern neighbors
The ones from Canada
I am talking about Canadian geese
Canadian geese in massive numbers crapping in our lakes
Making these lakes unusable by anyone
If you even get the water on you, you get a terrible rash
A rash that persists for weeks
What is Donald Trump doing about this problem?
Nothing much I bet
Needless to say you can't build a wall tall enough to keep out geese
So what is the solution?
I say replace the Thanksgiving turkey with the Canadian goose
That would be a start

People Talking

He said
She said
What the hell's the matter
Careful how you answer
Never mind the meaning
Watch you ain't preening
Silence is a golden art
to dodge such a fiery dart
So how important is it
To not be such a nitwit
Just know when to say when
I mean when to say 'Amen"
Nothing stokes the flame
Like unkind words inflame
So if your still not sure
Be a little more demure
And tuck your chin in
And make a foolish grin
Better to look the fool
Then open your mouth and prove
Try to have a little couth
Like you need any proof

Real Men of Courage

Here's to you George W Bush, you were smart enough to lie so your buddies could get rich off a fake war.
(Saddam has weapons of mass destruction)
You knew that the United Nations would never support you and the French were a bunch of limp wristed wine sippers.
(Call them freedom fries)
So here's to you Mr. President, keep the war going, what do you care, you're out in two years anyways.
(Keep on smirking)
(Real Men of Courage)

About this poem:
This was written in 2006. It is a parody of Budweiser's real men of courage. There are a bunch of different ones. One of my favorites is the Taco Salad. It's a salad isn't it.

Lunatic Fringes

Has the world come off hell’s hinges
Society worn out on drunken binges
What about all us mere smidgeons’
Flocking around a bunch of pigeons
My hand holding a wallet twinges
Rising oil prices making hair singes
Sheiks and oil barons make cringes
Profits high and an environment tinges
Not all is right like addict’s syringes
Welcome all to the lunatic fringes
