forever

oh the silence is so deafening
and the blackness is so pure.
and the space is an eternity
for the soul to wander on.
while the body pale and empty
left behind.....tomorrow's compost.

time is of no consequence
when you're already dead.
and fear can not be present
it's all gone that what you had.

you are now only a memory
of what was when you were here.
it's the good, the bad, the noble
and if you had really cared.
that's remembered of a lifetime
makes you wonder.....
makes me scared.

Never Again (A Promise To Me)

Black thoughts, black testimonies and blacker memories
Haunted me through my days and nights of yesteryears
My life told in deep, dark, gloomy summaries
A smile I used to hide these big, black tears
No love, no loving, no true lover did I take
Or give for that matter cause I knew not how
I was dead, wanted to be dead so myself I forsake
But I pulled myself out of that dark age somehow

Not before I tried to ensure I was physically dead
Not once, not twice but three lonely anger filled times
And myself impose hatred with black memories I fed
I punished me though I knew I had committed no crimes
I did not want me, so I thought no one else did
No self worth, no self respect, no inner love
I lived in a body I wanted to destroy every day
So often I wondered what happen to the God above
Was he asleep every time I stopped to pray

But I crawled out of that dark tunnel on my own
Scarred thoughts, heart and even more scarred soul
I never knew I had such strength in me deep down
Though my memories have dark moments these I now control
Because I vowed to me one dark, lonely, rainy night
That I would protect the one thing of which I am always sure
And if it takes the rest of my life for me I will fight
From within my soul my own depression I learn to cure

I will not go back that was my promise to me
That night thirty six sleeping tablets refused to kill
A foolish girl who vowed of this world she will be free
She had lost her heart, her soul and her very will
God did not listen when I prayed, or so I thought
He protected his gift to me that self imposed final night
It was precious to him, hence with me he fought
Never again will I go back, now I know my future is bright

i write 15 poems in a day and u bury THEM!!!!

NO FUTURE, NO FUN, ONLY FAILURE

Perhaps that’s bothers me most
Haunting and hunting for me as a ghost
She had to have known I’d end up injured
Yet ignored what I had suffered and endured

I put up with promises I knew were secretive dreams
I put up with wondering if the lady is what she seems
My second nature obviously beat the s**t out of my first
And not only that but second nature did its f*****g worst

She must have known my body, spirit and mind would fall apart
I have too much compassion and soul within my heart
So I provided what she needed with no price, bill or fee
But she had to have known the last man to do this to was me

So now I yearn to do all the things she knew I shouldn’t do
Like drinking and drugging myself half to death and that is nothing new
She’s comfy while I wish I were being welcomed into hell by it’s host
And perhaps that’s what bothers me most

read it and see the title it doesn't fit

YOU KNOW WHEN A LAWYER IS FYING AND IT’S WHENEVER HIS HIPS ARE GROOVING

Did you slip and fall and it’s the merchant’s fault??
Well we’re going to get you enough money to fill a vault
Did you have a relative who slipped and fell
Fear not, they’ll be represented by men going to hell

He tries in every way to get you to believe but more importantly to stay
Because he sees his bank account in everything you say
While you’re describing to a man about an injury you sustained
He sees his safety deposit box and cares not if you’re pained

Okay, so let’s say you didn’t fall but you remember something fell
Don’t you recall it came right down from the sky says the man headed for hell
Surely you recall it was noontime on the seventeenth and you were injured
And I’ll get you a bankroll no matter who says there was no pain you endured

Have you or a loved one worked in the mines
Or in a school as old as the liberty bell
Then you may have been exposed to asbestos or at least read between the lines
So the fools say“Yeah, okay, I’ll be in on the deal and we’ll both go to hell”

Demons of Old

You demons on the shoulder sit
And whisper all this evil
All these lies that you tell
And try to make us believe them

You're too short, you're too fat
So nobody will like you
No brains at all, you're so dumb
You'll never amount to anything

Don't bother now, don't even try
You're guaranteed to fail it
Just sit right back, shut your mouth
You have nothing to contribute

On and on you spit these words
Of hate and vitriolic nonsense
Anything just so that I will doubt
I'm really a worthy person

Dead Past

I heard a voice inside my head
It spoke of things long past and dead
Of things undone and sad regrets
Relationships that had gone bad

This voice relentless it can be
And giving one no mercy
Lashes ceaseless day and night
It makes me feel inferior

It brings up wrongs, deeds done
But no answer how to fix them
Past is dead, can't be changed
There's lessons to be learnt there

all TOO soon I'll forget YOUR NAME

ALL TOO SOON I’LL FORGET YOUR NAME

Has anyone heard from the woman of words and winsome ways?
I haven’t heard from or about her for days
She’s the one who made six in the morning not seem too rough
And climbing out of bed didn’t seem quite as tough

Has anyone spoken to the lady who made me smile although it hurt?
She’s the one that made my personality seem not so curt
When we conversed it was as if a bird was home resting in his nest
And each of us was each other’s guest

Has anyone laid eyes on a lady who glows in the dark like the moon?
And makes the end of every evening sadly come too soon
It’s strange but not hearing from her is like a cup without some tea
And the only thing I’m petrified of is she might not give a damn about me

Has anyone read the words this woman spouts out with delight
Making the darkest of subjects suddenly seem bright
I know she’s very far from me but her writing was enough for me
And now six a.m. is tougher than it ever seemed to be

THE EMPTY GARDEN

Will you join me in the empty garden?
There will be no fame or potential stardom
A place where your thoughts always remain
You can go there when you are feeling strange
You will end up here cause you have never changed

Will you come join me in the empty garden?
You're the storm that comes in as the skies darken
You hurt from the pain that rules your insides
Planets orbit around you on this endless ride
Like two trains on a track you're gonna collide

Will you come join me in the empty garden?
You've become a madman as your brain has hardened
No one to leave you..you can't get away
A place that keeps screaming you'll just have to stay
I'm not sure I belong here I guess I'm a stray

Will you come join me in the empty garden?
Your heart will shut down and your eyes will widen
The walls will close in as you wait for the end
No bars on your phone you can not press send
Theres no way to turn back this is not pretend

Will you come join me in the empty garden?
A place where you always feel your starving
You turned me away and left me to cry
Never given the chance or the time to try
Left here in the garden left here to die

Will you come join me in this empty garden?
Where the only noise you hear is me carving
My name deeply etched on a thick wooden slab
Will I be instantly missed I guess I'm a scab
Just lie me here in the garden as I am stabbed

There is no more light in the empty garden?
Theres nothing but darkness and alls forgotten
A lovely soul is left to just drift away
It could not find love it just wouldn't stay
Lets change our ways lets all do it today!

The Canvas Man

Stories of shadows have made my heart expectant of a life that revolves around an unimaginable, yet predictable fear.
While controlled by a faceless pain so immanent, that death it's self will show a partiality to my life now wasted.. why have i endured such agony and torment... I was, I'am.. An everliving picture painting of pain... Death to the painter.
