Beauty has no eyes

The swan knows not of
her eloquent neck nor
the horse its graceful
stride
The lion sees no glory
in his stately gaze nor
feels a tinge of pride
The sun knows nothing
of its radient beauty
and the moon sees no
admiring skys
Only the knowledge that
burns within my soul
sees beauty that has
no eyes~

COME DREAMER.........

We all play with the cards we’ve been given,
Some, more than others are particularly driven,
Ever thought of just throwing them in the air?
Hear them hit the floor, not really looking where,
Then finding where they land,
Blindly pick a few, make a new hand.
You know what I mean,
Follow that dream!
Instead of just watching the past in the fire,
Free your mind, make it enquire,
You know…..Make your mark,
Push the limits and the wire,
Rather than contemplate bleak future, dark and dire.
Dare to walk fate’s tightrope taught,
Looking ahead instead of down and fearing nought,
Dancing in the rays of the rising sun,
As each new morning is begun…..
If you want this and maybe more,
Then…..Just step through this proffered open door,
C’mon…kick off your shoes,
What have you to lose?
Just wriggle your toes in the fine soft sand,
Come Dreamer…..Take my hand.

The Greatness In You..

I've been watching you
from a distance..
You didn't know~

Didn't know how much
I amired you..
I see things in
You..
Great things~
All those things
you can do..
All those things
you know~
Perhaps, you've not know
yourself..
the way others have..
Perhaps.. you will come.. Into the light~
Show the world
who you are..
Bring your talents
to light~
Give us the chance to see
the glory
of You~
Give us your love
and understanding..
The way only you can..
Show us the way
of you~
You say..
No one would notice..
You say..
They will not
understand..
But..
We are willing to try~
Yes!.. The world awaits you..
You know what you can do~
Perhaps its never been done before..
That's why.. You must step up
to the plate, and show the world.. The Greatness in You..

Always Thus

Twas always thus
Upon the grassed bleak knoll
Where time stood still
And all lay barren
Like my life
A never changing landscape
For I would soon depart
But you
Would remain as thus
So others may follow
And ponder their fate
And remember the departed
Who had seen
What you see now
It was just a different time
That did not show on the face
Of the bleak grassed knoll
Twas always thus
But as I ponder
I realise the truth
That you will change
As I have done
And those that follow
Perhaps will see things differently
From you and I
But I
Will forever remember
The way that we were
Twas always thus

The Truth of A Liar

You come as a shadow
A silhouette of a perfect man
A bunch of dreams in your hand
You paint the rainbow at horizon
A heaven’s view on this earth
When it comes to the juncture
The rain and thunder ease the shadow
No more silhouette or dreams
There is nothing left behind
But the truth you tell the world only one
That you are truly a man

Shades of Rose

As I viewed you I thought of lovely flowers in the spring.
Perhaps it is the happiness and joy that season can bring.
You are a fragrant aroma that intoxicate my nostrils' sense.
You are their colors so vivid, pure and passionately intense.

I think of the flowers and which one you are and it is automatic.
You could be any or all that are pretty and equisitely exotic.
You are beautiful and grounded at the roots with family ties.
You are green leaves, natural with your feelings and no lies.

You make me feel young and in love
I feel like an eager teenager
I remember the tremble of my knees
As I approached the door to walk a
Young shy girl to the movies

I will think of you as a rose so beautiful, symbolic and noble.
You are so many things spiritual that its difficult to view and label.
You are the history, spirit, wisdom and love that the rose represents,
Also the lass, lady, princess, mistress that has smote many a gent.

What colour when I morph you to the rose you symbolize?
A red rose stands for love and romance that I see in your eyes.
Pink roses mean you are elegant, graceful and I admire you.
A yellow rose represents warmth and happiness that's true.

You make me feel young and in love
I feel like an eager teenager
I remember the tremble of my knees
As I approached the door to walk a
Young shy girl to the movies

I still comtemplate what shade of rose would be like your heart?
A white rose represents innocence and purity and a new start.
An orange rose means desire, enthusiasm and passion delight.
Lavender roses are for enchantment and love at first sight.

I have decided to think of you as a flower...a wonderful fragrant rose.
The colour of the rose has me confused and standing on my toes!
But wait it's obvious now, the colour and flower and image!
I'll think of you as a rose...a bouquet...all colours I can envisage.

You make me feel young and in love
I feel like an eager teenager
I feel the tremble of my knees
Now as I drive to your door
To meet you with a rose bouquet
and drive you to the movies.

In Arms

Come; join me, for our journey has been long
For our search is over, no more milling throng
Rest your weary body in my strong arms
Let me caress your thoughts and sense your charms

Come, once more, let me hold you tight
Embrace loving feeling; we know for us is right
Do you not sense that emotional shivered tingle?
With entwined bodies forever our passion to mingle

For us, we would walk the lonely path no more
Can we enter paradise together and shut the door
Would we grasp the chance that came our way?
For loneliness can dream sanctuary on another day

No love was ever taken that did not risk all
But oh! How it makes you feel so very tall
In arms together we can journey as one
Breaking our bread, not to scatter a crumb

Life came once more to a beating heart
The dark curtain was raised and drawn apart
The choir of emotions would renew our song
Don’t stay apart for love cannot be wrong

Then take this moment and savour the joy
Taste the rosebuds that embrace would employ
I ask of thee in my arms you would belong
Come; join me, for our journey has been long

WINTER BLUES

It is January folks – what can I say
Dull dark gray and cold days
Christmas is over and all the good cheer
We’re in the beginning of a new year

Amazing how desire for snow fades
After the wonder and magic of Christmas Day
Real life sets in and work routines return
Kids back to school for another term

New Year’s resolutions fading away
Then gotten out next New Year’s Day
Snowmen sit idle and skiing no longer fun
Looking to Spring being able to get out and run

Valentine’s Day – St. Patrick’s Day – Easter beck
Giving us something to look forward to next
Red hearts and roses given with love
Don’t forget her favorite is chocolate Dove

Baby Easter Bunnies running a great race
Leaving bright and colorful eggs all over the place
Celebration of our Lord and Savior dying for us
His love and grace giving us his Heaven’s sureness

St. Patrick’s Day of green and gold
Bagpipes playing Irish songs of old
Leprechauns playing mischievous tricks
Appearing and disappearing real quick

So hang in there folks as January comes and goes
Better weather and sunshine will soon set our world aglow
I think we are given these dull and gray days
To appreciate the upcoming warm days of play

THE THREE WISHES

Embedded image from another site

One night I dreamed of walking green hills
Seeing little people that gave me chills
Following a rainbow to the end
Seeing a pot of gold and a little green man

"Top of the day to you", he said
With a little green hat on his head
"Come closer my dear to me
Come over and rest under the tree"

He said he was a cobbler by trade
As we sat under the tree in the shade
I noticed a black kettle off to the side
With gold coins he guarded with pride

He asked didn’t I want to steal them away
I told him – no – I wasn’t there to prey
He said I had earned 3 wishes for this
So think careful and tell him my list.

The first I asked for a long and healthy life
Second that in the world there no longer be strife
For the last that I wanted 3 wishes more
He laughed and slapped his knee and roared

For I'd found the secret to eternal wishes it seems
To keep using your third wish to fulfill all your dreams

Square Circles

Cornerless cubes descend perfect transitions...
Landing in perfect positions...
Geometrical-shapeshifter sick tragic visions...
In flawless conditions...

Rigid-bodied dynamics succeed...
Tipless triangles, lines in between...
Square circles...
Round rectangles...
Nothing is ever quite what it seems....
