FAERIES ROUND ABOUT

November 30, 2012

Gazing upon Killarney’s Flesk river,
where the dense green twining ivy grows.
There, a canopy of moss laden trees,
craves the fine mist as the swift river flows.

Flowing and moving over time-worn stone,
pounding and shaping every curve and dip.
Evening brings creatures down to the still pools,
for a long awaited cool and quenching sip.

The forest takes on a new dimension.
The changing light makes you question your eyes.
You turn your head, wondering what you saw;
perhaps a small bird, maybe Dragonflies.

Green hues explode in the filtered sun light.
Your senses tingle, but you know not why.
Dusk is the time when magic comes to life;
everything shimmers and pleases the eye.

Those who hold dear their childhood wishes,
will know forest magic and have no doubt.
Dragonflies morph into dancing light beams,
then hundreds of faeries fly all about.

Safe are we in the Forest Killarney.
A faery-spell veil keeps danger away.
Elixir of Blackthorn and faery dust,
makes us faery small...we can fly and play.

The sky grows dark. The horned owls hoot loudly.
A bonfire is lit ‘neath the rising moon.
Moss covered branches make soft seats for rest,
as faeries they hum a night forest tune.

I carefully listen, watch and I learn,
from the stories shared of times long ago.
Faeries, keepers of magic and knowledge;
I am humbled to find just how much they know.

Humbled this night by the gift of welcome;
the child I was, in glimpses I see.
Growth, true release and wisdom have followed
my sober return to reality.

About this poem:
This poem came to me today and I feel it reflects some thoughts regarding a recent vision quest. I traveled last week to the Ancient Redwood Forest in Ca, and saw incredible things there that set my mind reeling. I went there for an inward glance and some answers. I was granted both and I saw things I cannot explain. Or can I?

a piece of foil

She sits at home alone
Quietly sinking, in her comfort zone.
Loneliness feeds, her soul.
The emptiness takes a toll
No other way to go, she heads to the
Corner store.
A quick relief, to fill that void.
Her love lies in a piece of foil.
Just another hit for the day.
Takes her to that private getaway.
Brings her to higher heights,
No transportation needed, to take this flight.
Where she goes, nobody knows,
She finds elated peace. To Devine to define..
Trapped in a cruel body, that's just doing time.
Embodiment of her being, left behind.
Slowly descending, back to her destination.
Reality is not, her intention.
Comes back home, sitting alone
The door slowly opens
"Honey I'm home"

LADIES OF THE LAKE

I dedicate this poem to the passion alive in every woman!~

We gather near the water and woodland,
to feast and feel
the mother's beating heart beneath our feet.
As her heart thrums, our senses awaken.
We are humbled by her bounty;
aware and thriving, feeling the gift
of her fire in our bellies.
Fire that is the spirit and conviction of womanhood.
We gather to bond as we rejoice in our feminine selves.
We gather to lose ourselves
in the magic of the realm.
The realm of dancing leaves and endless sky.
The towering pines teach us of strength,
while the sun bathes our skin in warmth,
reaching ever deeper into the soul.
Sisters, hand in hand. Each mind, each heart,
weaving us together in a tapestry of song,
connecting us to the true blessings of this sacred circle.
A circle of understanding and compassion,
joy and celebration.
Our play, our appreciation and our presence
ground our higher selves to the rhythm of life.
Life, brimming all around us.
Hand in hand, page by chapter, beat by breath.
We are one collective pulse, perfectly attuned
and centered in the here and now.
We are alive with the awareness of our perfect selves,
allowing all else to melt away.
Eye sparkle light dance.
One consciousness. One focused prayer.
We cannot help but smile at our strength this day.

About this poem:
Perhaps it is the approach of Mother's Day. I simply wanted to devote a special poem to the gloriousness and mystery that is every woman. Profoundly complex creatures that we are. SPEAK YOUR MANDRA THIS DAY AND STEP INTO YOUR DIVINE LIGHT AND DANCE LADIES. Take some time today to appreciate yourself and all the women in your circle. And God bless the men who love the women we are, although profoundly complex creatures. We still make life wonderful and mysterious. LOL. Blessed be ladies. LET ME HEAR YOU!~ Let's keep this poem at the front until Mother's Day. Pass it on!~

Not a Poem...this is just to wish everyone...

A Very Merry Christmas!

I'm parking my pen away again for a while...
pretty soon...for sanity's sake
I just want to extend my warmest greetings
to every poet in PCland a very Happy Holidays
and a most blessed New Year! May the love
and guidance from the Lord abide with you
during the merry season, may the joys that
comes with it fill your days, may you
be blessed by the company of love ones, family,
friends and strangers. May the true meaning of
this season reign in our minds and hearts that
we may become a true vessel of love
and kindness to others.

leprechaun love

enchanting mystical beauty
one fairy princess
handing to you
a four leaf clover
from the golden
treasure chest within
jewels would you care
for a sip
of the finest
dandelion tea perhaps
standing one goddess
before me

The river flows
magic within
I made for you
being the best shoemaker
a pair of glass slippers
mixing stardust with colored crystals
from a rainbow
to fit your dainty little feet
throwing a great party
in your honor
as the bell strikes
midnight tonight
within a sparkling green forest
scented in pine

hope is my wish
faith you turn up
luck in finding such a treasure
love a golden emotion

Over a rainbow bridge
I will take you to paradise
dancing a jig
over heather clad hills
an ancient treasure is hidden
deep inside love
in charming flower daisies
fireflies they dance
shining their soft charming light
to lay you love
on the softest blanket

Woven from golden strands
as the sun smiles
dazzling green magic fields
floating upon air
a fragrance
flaring within scent
of sweet smelling flowers
songbirds singing
in your delight

Butterflies they dance
in warm happiness
the waterfall
flows down
in a stream of luck
not believing such beauty exists
a dream embraced
by the fairy princess
this leprechaun
found his pot of gold
all his wishes were granted
in piping dreams
she is hot

senseless world

Bloodied pool of life
Nourished by forces of evil
In a senseless world
Where remorse is stacked
In a pile of dead emotions.

We are facing a war
Far deadlier than the brutalities
And mutilation
Guns and missiles can cause
It is our lack of strenght
To stand against such strangulation.

This is the indifference of the soul
The mind's submission to defeat
The heart blocked by the pains
Of desertions and abandonment
Hanging on our shoulders,
Dead cold and retreat.

There is a hope, a big one,
It can begin now!
Get up and unite, carry your courage
Join the many and seek more to make an impact
With determination and commitment
Step up in the front line and join hands.

We can do it. Senseless world no more
No one will do it for us. Are you kidding me?
The wealthy will buy our silence. Fast.
The cost? Your freedom. Yours and mine
So either you grab the money and run-

Or all of us, the poor and the lowly
Be united, be forceful, committed
For the clean up, our world badly needs.

Before it's too late.

when I love

When I love

I give it all

My whole mind, body and soul

And the only reason

Why I love only you?

Is because, no one

Has found me yet

To replace you

Maybe someday. Soon.

I can only wait.

THE LANGUAGE OF MY SOUL

The language of my soul
Unwritten, unspoken

It doesn't reverberate
In the halls of your fame

It wouldn't be displayed
In the walls with your name

Nor will it be heard
In your silence

It will lay dormant
Inside my heart

Content to be locked

MY SOUL BEYOND YOUR TOUCH.

Another Time Or Other Place

So often I still think of you
and I wonder if you sometimes do it too.
For the land you live in now
is way too far from here.
But it was you who drew the line;
that choice was never mine.

You’ve been gone for many years
and much too late now it is for tears.
Oh, if only I could know then
just half of what I know now,
I surely would have gone the other way
to crush this life’s wicked play.

Do you ever sit and wonder
about the times we spent back yonder?
Do you ever stare into empty space
to see how it might have been,
if you and I were born
in another time or other place.

Hi to ya all, this is my very first try at writing a poem, so if the structure and technique is not right, please don't shoot me.

It is dedicated to a girl I once loved. A young love so true, but forbidden by the circumstances of the time.

The American Dream

Have you bought, the scheme?
That keeps you in debt, to the 1%
The house, the car.
I want, I want, I want it all!!!
But first I have to pay off, this college Tution course.
25,00.00 in the hole.
I must get a job, to pay it all off.
Sadly there is no job in my field,
This was not apart, of the deal.
They told me to get a education
I would be at the top.
Right now I have to find a job,
If it means, pushing a mop.
One credit card left, I've paid off 3
These interest rates, are killing me.
I wish I took some time to think
Things through.
The white picket fence, if only I knew.
The American Dream, I had to pursue.
A mortgage seemed, so unreal at the time.
That old French word
Mort- dead
Gage- pledge
Plagues, the mind
What was I thinking, IM not free.
In debt, I will forever be.
I bought the dream, red, white & blue
Education, house, car & other things to.
Yes I bought the dream!!!
but they sold me a lie
The American dream, comes with a stiff price.
So before you want a piece of the pie
Remember in debt we trust, is the truth
Behind the lies...
