True Beauty

Behold, for I had gazed on real true beauty
I had seen it with the dawn of inner sight
My minds soaring wingless flight
So deep, yet shone in the darkest of night

I look far beyond the protective thin layer
That captures many, like Satan’s slayer
Its depth cannot hide, like Icebergs flow
Not cold, like winters iced frozen snow

It radiated out every pore of ones being
All knowing and forever all seeing
It shines so brightly in compassioned eyes
Not concealed in false clothing wearing the Devils disguise

It has no need of self perceived vanity
It does not sap you, nor bleed your sanity
No cloak of deceit for it to wear
It lays its soul out to you, open, bare

If you do not see then surely you are blind
Your life spent in torment of the shallow kind
Seek far beneath that ageing outer shell
Your heart will not lie, it can always tell

For we are Legion

We march, for we are many legion
We care not for the pains of death or season
Our intent has but one single solitary mission
To bend you all to our inevitable submission

Do not dare to fight, or stand in our relentless path
We put out the coals in your life’s pathetic hearth
We are fearless, our quest never undiminished
For what we start we will surely always finish

We have no single mind for we are a collective
We have no friends we remain non selective
Our only aim is to secure our future young
We saviour your retreat once we have begun

We are not cruel we treat all the same
Death to everything that it is our only aim
Can you not hear us, feel our numbing sting
To us your cries of demise are a hollow ring

Do not dare resist in any way, to live, take flight
For you are mere fodder, we protect our right
We do not hear your deathly screams or rants
For we are legion, for we are soldier ants

The World had Bled

A part of me is always a part of you
But I have no ability to begin anew
I have bled my heart beyond repair
We have taken your body and left despair

The rolling thunder plagues my soul
Is it mad desire to bequeath a dust bowl?
I breathe within you and see with knowing eyes
What we have taken comes in false disguise

For we would breathe as seeming one
Forever taking, you would strive to render undone
I would gather your richness within my hand
That slipped through fingers as grains of sand

Your winds of defiance to us tried to speak
We took your beauty and made it ever bleak
As oceans stagnate and green forests fall
It is no passing phase as a nighttimes squall

The arctic winds no longer breathe an icy chill
Mankind will eventually swallow a bitter pill
Within our nature to do too little to late
We tear out your heart and serve it on our plate

You give us life; we bring you your death
Let us both enjoy our last single breath
Like I, a heart laid open emotionally bare
The world had bled, with thoughtless care

THE LITTLE GIRLS GRAVE

IN PASSING HERE ONE AUTUMN DAY,
YOUR HEADSTONE CAUGHT MY EYE,
A LITTLE GIRL OF 3 YEARS OLD,
METHINKS TOO YOUNG TO DIE.

A PATCH OF CLOVER, FOR YOUR LEGS,
SMALL THISTLES, ADORN YOUR BROW,
AND TANGLED WEEDS, FOR YOUR FINE HAIR,
YOUR ARMS, ARE BRAMBLES NOW.

THE SWIRLING WIND, ABOUT MY HEAD,
DRIED LEAVES, ARE DANCING NOW,
AS IF IN VAIN, TO MAKE YOU SMILE,
BY JINGLING, ROUND, AND ROUND.

HOW SAD FOR YOU, MY LITTLE ONE,
TO LEAVE IT ALL SO SOON,
DID YOU BRING DOLLS, IN INNONCENCE,
TO PLAY WITH IN YOUR TOMB.

YOUR BROKEN HEARTED PARENTS,
TO LOSE YOU, ALL TO SOON,
AND LAY YOU DOWN IN HEARTFELT GRIEF,
IN ANCIENT INISLOON.

BUT I WILL STOP BY HERE AGAIN,
WHEN I AM PASSING SOON,
AND PRAY FOR YOU,THE LITTLE ONE,
IN ANCIENT INISLOON, MY LOVE, IN ANCIENT INISLOON.

About this poem:
CAME ACROSS THIS LITTLE GIRLS GRAVE, WHILE DOING RESEARCH, IN THE ANCIENT GRAVEYARD AT INISLOON, FURTHER RESEARCH THREW UP THE FACT THAT HER MOTHER WENT QUIET INSANE WITH GRIEF AFTERWARDS, THE PROXIMITY OF THE HOUSE OVERLOOKING THE GRAVEYARD IN INISLOON, WAS TOO MUCH FOR HER TO BEAR, THE JAMESON FAMILY, MOVED AWAY TO DUBLIN, SHORTLY AFTERWARDS, IN THE MID 18 HUNDREDS. A QUAINT BUT BEAUTIFUL SPOT IS ANCIENT INISHLOON, AS THE RIVER MISTS SWIRL ABOUT IT, IN GHOST LIKE SHROUD.

INISLOON=RIVERSIDE MEADOW.

End of a Poets Day

Well, that's it then!
The end of my day,
Got some ideas for tomorrow,
But, that's a whole sleep away.
I'm sleepy and tired,
All poeted out with not much more to say.
So thank you one and all,
I hope I have pleased some of you,
Be you, handsome, sweet and short,
Or beautiful and tall.
Whether you're here or there, doesn't matter
Because all around the globe, in poetry, we natter,
So May your God go with you,
And bless you one and all!

YOUR QUEST

gold hidden 'neath the rugged earth
upon which lay your quest
yet murky and turbid is the dew
that is harvested in a cup of sand
your weakness never sets
over the parched and scorching heat
nor will your strength
ever laid to rest
until you will run out
of your sweats
you will want to know
deep within your heart
why all this land
is covered with blood
and as the world lay witness
and yet mightily unconcerned
to its naked plight

your mind will never fathom
why the rift is burning strong
so you will keep on digging
until you reach the bottom
hoping it will lay bare
all the reasons,
that this blood covered land
is a conflict no more
in the mighty difference
of white and black color
but the gap of those
who have and who don't

the question is...will man ever learn
how to vanish indifference?
give to those that have not
and even out the earth's wealth
so revolt will not explode?

perhaps nobody really cares...
you are alone, abandoned
on this quest..
buried
in a drifting sand
stained with ruthlessness
by the greed of human hand
glued forever
in human blood.

The Universal Poet ( A Challenge, Are u in? )

Embedded image from another site

I Dream of Angels but Live with Demons
Held by Fear within my Precious Bits Of Being
DISOWNED AND ALONE beside My Silent Cries
Inside of a Thunderstorm Somewhere Between The Lies
A Solitary Teardrop became a Countless Lake of tears
A never ending Vicious Cycle of Madness and DESPAIR!
Like Skyping with Satan beyond The Dark Room
To a Million Black Stars to The Poet & Her Muse
He has Magic for Sale, Dragons, and Defeated dreams
A Commitment of Love and Lust hidden with Mysterious Beauty
So shall I DARE TO DREAM amidst Colliding Galaxies
Many Love Well, but are Bowls of Cherries Scattering
But As The Day Arose Into Your Wild World
The Celtic Harp played a TUNE OF THE UNIVERSE
A Tango of Two Hearts in Erotic Shower of Rain
Where The Many Shades of love and Emerald Fire burn upon Your Face
Blowing away the Monster Ash deeply into its Beloved Grave
With my Warriors Journal of Viking Plunder you have written a new page
Kaleidoscoping Square Circles flaming colors unsymmetrical
Even the Grass Sizzles from the passion of a deeper integral
Morñing Wisdom yet revealed its glory by rejecting Scientific Proof
Its the Touching Treasure of Rainbow Highs that Im Fading Into You
Shy The Darkening Cloud of Melancholy oh faithful Winds Of The Night
Into The Song of Universal Poems where I Shall Know How To die
Silently into Your Wild World below your Starry Skies
Or deep into your precious flowers beneath the Liquid Sunset of your eyes

About this poem:
Ive been here a while and not only have I read from a lot of poets here but have made friends with you as well. So I put this together by using just your poem titles so technically you all wrote it. Every line holds one to three titles. It was fun so I thought maybe it would make a good challenge too, but you decide. For me its simply a dedication to you and a thanks for reading my many years of doom and gloom. It helped to "get it out there" as TruRob once said to me.. Many Thanks again, Cheers…Jesse
In the famous song of Legend Bob Marley
"One Love, One Heart,
Let's get together and feel all right…"cheers

I LOVE YOU

I love you

would there be a better way to live
than to love and be loved?

I love you

no pressure, just feeling free
no demands, no boundary

I love you

you give me your heart
your failures, success, trust

I love you

you can go anytime you want
but I know, you will stay

because, you love me, too
and this is our way

together

our connection, unrestrained
wrapped secured in your strong arms

you and I feel ourselves entwined
so at peace, yet so unbound

we love each other, with respect
trust we both share

I hope, to last forever.

I love you.

My pain is self chosen, but at least it all makes perfect sense
Some days my heart feels broken, but my love will never bend
In trivial pursuit of understanding what I'm doing here
Consequently dug the hole so deep I buried all my hopes with fear
Nearly every road I traveled is the remnant smell of a burning bridge
As the choking smoke began to strangle the beating flesh within my ribs
But I never claimed to be a saint nor holier than thou
I'm a man with many wrinkles that I'm not sure will ever iron out
But who I was or where I've been doesn't mean a thing today
I threw away that heavy armor and in naked flesh I will be brave
So that I may be honest with myself and others can see the truth
There I've found the courage to admit my wrongs to you
A deflating soul that learned sacrifice guided by a hardened will
Who have compassed my destruction will feel the cold edge of my steel
Then when our sun as old as time arises for us all to see another day
I'll choose to seize that moment until it forever shines down on my grave
