He is not going to get impeached Conrad. He has played "it very safe" so that is not going happen. By nature, he is a very cautious man. That by Woodward and others.

But sometimes caution in the POUTS office means a lose of opportunity and just staying status quo. A Wilrow Wilson syndrome. All intellect and no common sense. No desire to really succeed.

He could have expanded the military, like his campaign promise. The surge in Afghanistan instead of 30K, could have been 50k or 60K. Could the Taliban survive that? Not with Petraus at the helm in AO and our new technologies in Stealth helo.

He could have ordered another 5 dozen stealth helo. Of both types. Think about that for a time. 60 stealth helo air lifting a 600+ man battalion to DZ deep within a country at night. To hit a target or compound complex? They don't know it untill the first boot is on the ground. That is serious stuff.

He could have fought for the F-35 program. The F-35 in three versions is heck of a program. They had 2000 ordered. That will all be cut back with the DoD cuts. The Navy and Marine Corp will be lucky to get 800-1000 F-35s.

It is clear...he does not want to control the air in combat or civilian operations. Ultimately that will cost allot of American lives.
I guess he needed high speed rail.....that they are still trying to find the ground breaking shovels for.

Yes that is all. That is pocket change to Obama and the agency heads in DC.

So far 20,000 FAA employees have gotten forlough.....and 70 Contractors employee have been laid off the 200 jobs.

Yet Obama and Washington are going to let this go on till the REP and DEM come back in Sept. Costing 300m per day till then.

Here the DEMs were going to give Obama article 14 powers to raise the debt ceiling by trillions. And they cannot find him 16m for the FAA crisis!

That is a indecisive and ineffective POTUS.... Maybe Obama should take a loan from Greece to get the FAA going again.......

I am not saying Obama is a dictator. I use my words more carefully than that. Saying that he is very liberal and likely a Socialist.
That he borrowed from Russia the post break up economic model of Putin/Medvedev. To? Make crisis. In fact he called....the debt crisis.....'a manufactured crisis.'

But he ain't investigating to find out who manufactured it, it he?

If Obama were oppressive dictator, NATO would be launching cruise missile strikes and bombing runs into the US. We all know how much NATO and Europe stands up for freedom. liberty and human rights. One just has to ask Libyans on that.

So since Obama has pasted the European smell test......he cannot be a oppressive dictator.

Think about it. What major economic thing did Putin and Company do?
They nationalize the Russian oil production an dindustry,yes? They arrested and convicted the major oil firms CEO for corruption charges and took control,yes?

What did Obama and company do? They took control of the auto industry by forcing out CEOs and buying up their stock with government loans.
Shut down the Gulf oil industry during the BP crisis. Took control of major banks in the stimulus buyouts.

What is the difference? It is the same model of government control. One by government force and legal actions....the other by government purchase and legal actions. The key here is "government legal actions".

Stalin's Russia was full of committees that executed 'government edicts' and made '5 year plans'....and then executed government "legal actions".

If living on 15K (the average per capitia in 2011 for a Russian) a pear is not major economic problem....

By the way, Russia has a flat tax and one of the lowest income tax rate in Europe. 2010 tax rate in Russia for individuals was 13%, 30% for non Russians. Corporate tax rate of 2% and local tax of no more 18%. No more than a total of 20%.

Russia is not trying to put a tax on the wealthiest 2% of the country.
And it is taxing the entire base the same.

Just maybe that is the reason Russia had a economic turn around? They made it profitable to work.

Only 4 quarters to go till the 2012 election, Conrad.

What do you think that those DoD contractors are going to this next year...knowing that President Obama has cut 600-800b from DoD budget over the next 10 years?

Lockheed just laid off 10,000. Most were union jobs.

But.........the other DoD Contractors know how to play politics and they know how to lobby Congress. Boeing, General Dynamic, Lockheed, Northrup Grumman, GE and a host of other DoD Contractors are going to wait till just before the election. Then in the next to the final quarter prior to the Election....lay off workers.

Western CA DEMs lead by Nancy Pelosi are going to be swamped with complaints to the Debt deal and the caused layoffs. All she can do is point to President Obama and the signed debt deal.

The water is coming into the ship now faster than the DoD Contractor made pumps can empty it out. Eventually those pumps are going to quit working.....on command from the bridge. LOL................they did not even do that on the Titanic.:-)

Why is the FAA falling a part under the Obama administration? FAA is going to lost 1.3b if the Chief Executive does not act before Sept.

With out of session, funding for the 200 FAA airport project has been cut. Now the lacking funding is also effecting other FAA operations.
Obama is pointing fingers at Congress. But Congress spent it time on the Debt deal. Now he has a blank check for all the new debt ceiling.

But he cannot make a executive office decision to resolve this issue?

Likely the reason Obama signed the debt deal......if the effect it has on the budget of DoD. He lost on all the other major parts...taxing rich was bumped out, a balanced budget admendment was placed in, only two years 2013 on a two step debt increase.

But he did clobber DoD spending from 600b to 800b over the next decade.

Meaning? He had already cut DoD in the past three years....twice. For about 100b each time. This time he got many of it long term development programs and its long term force restructering programs.

The DoD budget ...not related to the cost of wars....is the single biggest budget in Washington. But it is a big employer in the country.
Companies with long term DoD contracts are looking at if these contracts are going to continue.

Right now.....Lockheed just laid off. And many others DoD contractors will soon start. From there the ripple effect thru the country's unemployment will continue to bump up the 9.2 unemployment rate.
President Obama just signed away his 2012 hopes by signing this debt bill.

DEM will talk it of turning the economy around.....but it ain't going to happen without Defense jobs.

Like I said fellows.....we did not need to do a thing.....

Captian America is playing at the local theatre, Yes am going to go take it in and have some popcorn as the bad guys fall.

What got me....was in three countries.....Russia, China and another....they could not call the movie "Captain America". They, hollywood big wigs, still sent the movie out under s different name.
Suitible to the local market taste.

I say heck with that. If the Russians and Chinese cannot take a piece of Americana art with a American name on it. Then don't send it to them. Let them get the trailers of the movie off the net. Let them see a Captain America in their dreams.

I think with the Debt deal done....conservatives should sit back and watch how liberals treat the President. Why engage in the fray if the
opposition is attacking the President?

We can take the high road here. Defend the office and Democratic system. The Constitution and the country. While the liberal left that is seeing the President as mid road turn coat can do the slandering of him. Gesh they are being harder on Obama than on GWB.

Right at the time of the debt bill being signed......72 financial, gov't, DoD and UN secure severers were hacked into.

MacCafee....reported the intrusions to various governments around the globe. All indications is that the hacking come from .............. ..............................China.

Government investigators are looking into the data of the hacking at present. They are calling it...the biggest security breach of all time.

But why would China want to hack these sites just as the debt bill is being signed?

Likely officials in these site are getting details of the bill and it impact to their organizations. So China wants to know .....say if DoD
cuts are going to be a drastic and Penatta is saying. Or if IMP is going to continue to get US funding under the new debt bill. Were are those cut and were is the debt increase going.

China wants to know all that info. So...hey why not just ask? China does not like to ask or wait for public discloser. China wants the insider information. That is why WTO organization should consider placing new restriction on China.

Also China wants the internatiponal community in crisis mode. Having your inside information hacked when a big deal going down does that.
It causes lose of confidence in the financial markets. China wants that.

But this is why China is a bad risk to do business with or to allow to purchase government debt. Would you continue to email someone that is hacking your computer? Not if you like privacy. And not to have your computer contents spread on the internet.

China continued intrusion into the world's secure and financial sites has to be disconcerning to the Obama administration. Here a debt deal was done and the President got a another blank check to fill out. Now China wants to alter the zeros and the payee. The payee suddenly become Chinese middle man firms. The zero much bigger than the debt ceiling increase.

Doing little for stimulating the American economy. But doing everything to stimulate the Chinese economy.

China did not make that statement that the American economy was a ticking bomb to the world's economy without having some ways to shorten the fuse. Chinese hacking is one of them.

By the way....China is saying that the Pakistani government and country is chaotic as well. China does not like Chaotic. China may send troops in to solve Pakistani choatic nature. Maybe China will not buy the debt that approved under the debt bill. And that is a reason the markets are still falling.

Looks like China is not happy with the present US administration.

So what now? A little Chinese hokie pokie? Yes. Here is what happens. China has been buying the past us debt via China middle man investors. While the official position of the Chinese government is that it is divesting. Unless it gives order for them to halt trading, this is just geo political gaming on the Chinese part. So don't get your dander up. The Chinese will still buy the debt.

But for the second time.....China rating of US treasury note dropped again.

Dude...it just seems to me....that China wants the US to fail more than the REP do. REP signed on to the debt bill, remember?

So the Russians have us as a 'international pirrahna' and the Chinese have us as a'ticking time bomb' in the world of high finance. It is nice to be loved. With such stellar assessments of the United State, it is a wonder people give any credence to what the Chinese and Russian say.

Vinny very honestly. We have had intell post 911 of 1000s of attacks many were compromised and disrupted. It is a very real war. It will not end because of bin Laden raid. But if we had done nothing after 911, our entire society and country would be in total disruption today.

Personaly, I do see Anders Bieivik attack in Norway as terrorism. But I think it was for anarchist reasons. Manifesto or no manifesto, he has been espounsing a total change in European and Norgewian government according to his attroney. He made demands for such. But his not talking about a Christian revolution. And the law enforcement cannot find trace of his cells.

Breivik's manifesto was largely taken from unabomber's (Ted Kscyneski's) manifesto. The unabomber manifesto was not a Christian religious manifesto. So I think you are thin on saying it was Christian terrorism. But it certainly was anarchist terrorism.

Sheerrod is big Obama supporter. She goes to the NCAAP conference. Speaks and says some very condensing things towards whites. A journalist picks it up and reports it online.

Shirley Sherrod is removed from her job within 15 hours of that story breaking. Even thought the story was largely out of context. It was a assistant to the Department of Agriculture head that did the firing.
The assistant did that directly from the White House. Not the Department of Agri in DC.

So what I am saying?

Saying the Obama administration had the Assistant come to the White House so they would know that the firing had been done and how it had been done. Rob Emanuel or some other high WH staffers was standing in the room with the Assistant as the calls were made.

The decision to fire this woman...was made within the White House by a small group of people. It did not go thru a review process of the Depart of Agri.

Now go back to the definition of Socialism. A small group of people controlling the lives of people. Shirly Sherrod know what socialism is.

Today large banks in the US bull doze 100s of foreclosed homes. Frist Obama's socialism failed to end the foreclosers, yes? The bank bailouts. Then the banks faced with fiscal loses in having unoccupied homes....decides to bull dose them and end thier use as dwelling. When you have high unemployment and many living in car and on the street.
Eventually how owns the piece of property? The town or city does. To?
To make a small park or doggies walk with. Totally outside of its growth plan.

At least in Russia socialism eventually got people places to live. You might have 10 families on the same floor in the People's Apartment building. But it was dry and warm in the wintertime. There was a big park for play and walks nearby.

But that is not all. The FAA.....Federal Aviation Authority begins to lay off 1000s of air traffic controllers....as the agency 'has run out of money'. Let them sleep more on the job and pay them less.
But Obama's socialism cannot even get the agency funds for making the
payroll.

He can give 6 billion to global warming on a trip to Coopenhaggen.....but he cannot meet the payroll of the FAA? You tell me. I can breath easily today. But if I take a plane ride I might end up in a accident. And they are having accidents related to FAA staffing issues.

If it is not one crisis.....it is another. Even socialism can stop a crisis once in while when it gets lucky. But Obama's socialism is even failing and in crisis.

What is the matter with a balanced budget?

See here is what I think. I think that when you have a trillion+ dollar government...much of that trillion goes out the country. Never really stimulating this economy. Rather aiding, securing, feeding foreign parties. In other words a global kind of 'wealth redistribution.'

A very socialist and communistic concept from post WWII Russia and the WARSAW Pact. See with the debt ceiling....comes this massive foreign expenditure that President Obama hopes to make. Remember he authored the Millinium program for the UN. That surely was a global wealth redistribution.

It would be bad enough if the debt was all used here in the US. At least then you have American economic stimulus. But it will not be. Obama's wars in Afghanistan and Libya have to be paid for. Nation building in Iraq and Afghanistan. Global warning projects in China. Food and energy for NKorea. Payments interest and principle of the debt with China and Russia. On and on here...........

So much of this new debt will go over seas. Never really happening the economy here. The proof of that is...today's unemployment rate at 9.2%.

But then Communist China is not socialist either. It is just some sort of modern geo political experiment of a nice small group rule over the majority. That can have a Tiamemmen square massacre, because they were nice and benevolent to some protesters for democracy. But let us not call it socialism. Nancy Pelosi took a "Gutsy Position" on the debt vote in the House. That according sited article. Article went on to say that Nancy is no ideologue. She knew that she did not have the votes to stop the bill.

Well only 1/2 (95 votes) of the DEM voted for the bill. All the REP including the TEA Party voted for it. So what gives?

If you add 95 DEM (1/2 of the DEM caucus) with the 88 Tea Party at 183.
You short only 30 votes short of blockage. Had the Tea Party voted no, Nancy had the DEM in position to block the bill. After is was clear the Tea Party was block voting for the passage, she likely released them to vote for it.

But Nancy and liberal in Congress.....are unhappy. Unhappy that President Obama spends time with Boehener on the golf course and unhappy the President Obama gave position away to the REP. That he is not more sever with the REP.

Nancy delivered all the DEM needed for passage and not one more than she needed. They feel this debt bill is a REP win.

But the problem in Washington politics....the we vs they attitude instead of the WE, the People attitude.

Of Nancy's liberal caucus many come to public vote in 2012. 45-50 of the block on 95 that did vote nea on this bill will. A 2013 Congress with a new Tea Party and REP canidates filling those 45-50 seats, would sure make things easier for all concerned.

It is clear that these 95 don't support the President or the Country.
Even the Tea Party members eventually voted for the bill's passage for it was the right thing to do for the country. Rather they follow DEM dogma set out by Nancy Pelosi and other liberal thinkers.

Russian GNP rate in 1993................was -15.0%
it from there to a peak in 2000 of 10%


Russian unemployment in 2011............is 7.5%
Russian per cap income in 2011..........is $15.1K US
Russian GNP rate in 2011.................is 4%

Russia has done a slow 20 year turn around. Sluggish at times, at best. Do you think that President Obama is using Russia as his model for economic recovery?

Its GNP has risen dramatic in the last 10 years on petro dollars.

Do it the way FDR originally designed it. With trust accounts that doesn got into the Government General Fund. Once the FICA rev....are in the General Fund they are subject to paying government debts.

So they would make these loans that accummulated to being 4.2t.

So ....just cut the 835b that FICA pays in....send to trust accounts that bear interest. There it is safe from the Congress. And avialable to pay pit the monthly social security checks.

Here is what is going to happen. Obama is going to sell the first step of debt. China will buy 35% of it. That goes into the General Fund. From the General Fund....they pay the interest on the 4.2t and the monthly social security.

So really Social Security today is living off the benevolence of the Chinese. It does not stand on it own feet. China decides it does not want to be so kind hearted, what then? You got a lot of senior living on the streets and applying for food stamps.

We can start with fixing that pay Paul from Peters Social Security accounting the Jimmy Carter and the DEM have used to tap the SS for 4.2t.
That is a long term future problem that needs to be fixed. DEMs with a trillion dollar debt increase will use the Social Security Rev to pay for it.
