So is the US a AAA rated country.....that is what President Obama just said. He also said Washington was broken. And has been doing a little bit apology work in a few countries for the us.

How often we Americans, have defended American values and principles here on CS to others? My it is daily battle of words and history lessons. Of shout outs and line outs.

Do we even owe the world a explanation? I always felt that we did. Being the 500 pound gorilla in the world does carry some explanation. But seldom do we good explanations in return. Read a good explanation of why Assad or Qdaffi are killing their people?

Is the US of A triple AAA rated in the President's mind because some 46 different culture and 308m people in the US have managed a way to solve issues without rioting (e.g. London) and without government oppression to violence (Syria and Libya)?

Or is because those principles and values of America stand as a light for the world? Or they have in the past. 17m people a year relocate here legally. Yet does seem to be twinkling today, if you take the Chinese position....that a foreign regulation agency need to "watch the American dollar"

I will agree that America does need to be defined better. It needs to daily to make the best of things. That means American as individuals need to stand tall in what they do. Be responsible for it. No am not saying if your a crook, be the best crook possible. Saying being a good person.

So with the markets crumpling and the dollar floating in a whirlpool of doubt, can the country stave off the rocky shoals that this administration has the vessel heading to?

Sure it can. We put the motors in reverse. We bring the vessel to a stop. We send out a life raft to see what lies ahead. Huckabee suggested that is is time for the President to bring REP and Tea Party members into his cabinet. A pretty good idea.

You now have a joint government in the Executive branch. A near 50 50 spilt in the Senate. And a REP dominated House. IN other words, we bring the government to stop...not literally. Checks and payment would still be made. But we place REP and Tea Party directors into position to take agencies into new directions.

I submitted the idea of gold backing our treasury notes and bonds, near a week ago. Posting on it here at CS, help to define it better.


I think that the country has great untapped resource and potential.
I am bullish on America. But like all untapped resources...mis- management and errors in cultivation can occur.

The United States is a AAA rated country as long the freedom of ideas and the freedom of speech is respected. Huckabee might not get his REP or Tea party member in the Executive office. I might not get a gold back treasury note of bond. But we both exercized the right to communicate the ideas to government and to public. That alone makes the United States AAA rated.

The President just said the markets consider our rating AAA. Did he check the sticker line? My gosh...............

Following the bin Laden raid, those in the situation room ...made a "vowed not to give critical details" of the raid to the media and world. Within 24 hour the world knew exactly which of the 100s of US military unit had conducted the raid.

They knew this was highly sensitive and classified information in talking about SEAL TEAM 6. But they went ahead and did it anyways.

Then instead of the hunt for alQEada leaders by the US....the hunt for SEAL TEAM 6 began by the Taliban and alQeada. How can I say that? They live by the old testament eye for eye tooth for tooth law, Sky. They wanted SEAL TEAM 6 bad for the bin Laden raid.

Why does this sited US official speaking on 'annoymity' of the recent Chinook shoot down? In part to protect the ongoing investigation. The other part is to protect his unit, himself and family.

Sure as Palin putting a bullseye on the DEM leaders that were running for reelection made public criticism, the release of the classified and sensitive information of SEAL TEAM 6 should get public criticism.

The difference being....Palin gaff in political material did not get anyone killed. While the White House security gaff.....could very well have.

Sky respectfully...the DEM and REP jointly have had 90 years of running this country. Occassionally a third party emerges. Only to be bashed to ground by them both.

Obama ran on a 'broken Washington' campaign in 2008. His first two year were not even close to fixing it. So the country supported the Tea Party and placed those 88 into Congress.

Now they bash the Tea Party. It was the Tea Party fault that S and P devalued the bond....blah blah blah......it is just status quo hanging on to political power. Political power they see slipping away.

You know every well....that government has over 20 SEAL TEAMs...there was no reason back in May to divulge the name of the specific team that was on the bin laden raid. But to bump Obama failing ratings....they went on the Sunday talk shows and did the media thing.
'The Commander in Chief had knowledge of every detail of the raid'

Now they got burned. 32 men were killed. Men that had kept government secrets all of their lives. Like the secret of those stealthy helos.
Not a enlisted, a NCO, or Officer had ever gone public with the knowledge of our Stealthy helo program. Man that kept the secret of the coming bin laden raid for months while they trained for it.

But the White House cannot keep the secret of the SEAL TEAM that takes bin Laden down?

That is exactly why the American people don't trust REP or DEM at this point. They all play for personal gain and power. Why the public began to vote TEA Party in 2010. For they see in Palin and in Grinrich and in Cain....flawed men and women....but at least they can keep a secret when men's lives are at risk. Leaders that love the country and fellow Americans.

Americans that realize....'words really do matter'.

Black Hawk Down Solomia, Ray. bin Laden operatives trained the local militia to fire volleys of RPGs at low flying US Helos. They have used the tactic ever since.

The good thing is RGPs have a limited range. Helo can fly above them.

For all those that are big on 'transperncy'...and a 'need to know all' about what our Government does. I would like to return you to the days following the bin Laden raid of this last May.

It was then that the name "SEAL TEAM 6" become a publically known. Media made them the heros of Abbottsbad and the bin Laden raid. But it was the White House that put the name 'SEAL TEAM 6' into the media. It was the people inside the situation room that could not keep mission security following the bin Laden raid that talked about SEAL TEAM 6.

Every one had to know what had transpered in the Bin Laden compound. Media was frenzied for information. And the White House gave it to them.

Soon the members of SEAL TEAM 6 are requesting additional security for selves and families here in the US. The White House responds with a 'investigation into covert operation security and suspends all covert operations.'

But the leak is done....the SEAL TEAM that got bin Laden is known to the world.

Now you have 20 dead SEAL TEAM 6 members in coffins coming home from Afghanistan. Do you just think that leaking the name of unit to the world....might have made them a target? Do you think that alQeada now knowing the name of the team, placed a bounty of them? Do you think that alQEADa and the Taliban, knowing of a SEAL TEAM 6 unit presence in Afghanistan, might have choosen to pin down the US Ranger Reconn unit hoping to draw SEAL TEAM 6 out into a rescue effort? Do you think that just one of the AFghan learning of a SEAL TEAM 6 rescue mission, just might have made a phone call to his alQeada handler?

There are so many ways that the security of SEAL TEAM 6 could be compromised after the White House released the name to the media in May, it is surprising that a deadly attack on the TEAM did not happen earlier.

alQeada placed bounties on all American commanders in Iraq and AFghansitan. Placed bounties on even the civilian advisors sent to the AOs. alQeada was able to place a bounty on SEAL TEAM 6 because the White House had to broad cast it names in May to the media. All for a Obama bump in the polls.

alQeada has been able to slip Afhgan military turn coats into the CIA operation in the country for suceide bombings. alQeada used deception to send 19 air craft hi jacker into our country on 911. And this Administration wants full and complete transperency? Liberal and media want to know every about every thing that our miltiary does? Needs to braod cast the name of SEAL TEAM 6 to the world via the media and net?

It is like the White House pulled the triggers on the RPGs that dropped the Chinook to the ground and took the lives of American and
Afghan abroad.

There should be a Congressional investigation into the White House release of SEAL TEAM 6 name into the media. And that also should also be made public.

They were elected to do just what they did. Place a control on the rampant spending of the Obama administration. Now the Obama admsitration blames them for the S and P downgrade. The down grade came because it was not cut enough. And because Obama had made such a crisis and toxic environment in Washington that few could work with him and his liberals administration.

Why did Emanuel get the axe after the mid term? Because REP could work with good old Rob? They should have had the budget/debt issue on the table in the first 2 years of his administration. When the DEMs had full control of the government. Why did they wait to table it after the mid term?

Because the White House wanted another crisis. Well it got it. Now it is going to cost the world in stock market values, interest rates, and heart ache.

Pointing the finger at the Tea Party, The White House blamed the new 3th party for the S and P degrade today. No, it was not the petulance of the President, nor his walking from a meeting with Boehener, nor his spending over the last year years that caused S and P to see a political crisis in Washington.

The disconnect in the White House between fiscal reality and looney tunes finances is the cause of the debt crisis. The economic crisis. The unemployment crisis. And the S and P down grade.

The 26m Tea Party members and their 84 representative could not put together the prefect financial storm that is coming to the world. But the world's most powerful man could. We all know that is the POTUS.
One Barack Obama. He does have some help here. The entire cabinet. The 14m Fed government employees. And the very popular economic thinking of the most liberal business school in America....the University of Chicago.

It is not like his supporters are not profitting from this. Warren Buffet just place buy offer for Transocean. That is a big deal! Of Billions. Think Warren would be making a offer on Transocean, if the US bonds were collapsing? No, I don't think so. But Warren know good timing.

President Obama has a $38,000 per plate fund raiser...that he really does not want to make the media. What better way to cover his funding raising activities during American hard time, than to point at the Tea Party as the crisis maker?

See that is what Rob Emanuel meant by "never a bad crisis". You can always use it to cover your real activities in the press. It is why the White House went after FOX earlier. That is why we have had this political instability that has been causing crisis since Obama took office.

So now it is not FOX, but the Tea Party! Why not the Nation of Islam? Louis Farracon's group? Why not the Communist party of the former Soviet Union? Why not Emperial court of the Ming Dynasty? The White House blaming the Tea Party for S and P down grade ranks in the same logic here. But just maybe why not the White House?

Everyone gets lucky in war at some point. The investigation in the downing of the SEAL team helo is not complete. The Taliban claim responsibility. But I trust them about as far as I can spit. This could be a mechanical or weather related accident.

Perhaps you care to join the Taliban or alQeada in Afghanistan. I am sure your views will aid them sending more Americans home. I am sure that they will take you into thier ranks ....give you food ...training....and a good suiciede mission to complete. Just to trust your loyalty.

When was bin Laden or his two couriers ever innocent? They were the only three killed in the bin Laden raid. Bin Laden killed 3000 on 911.
His courrier were associated in the deaths of 100s more in Iraq and Afghanistan.....many who were Muslim.

The Muslims world can call bin Laden innocent, but in reality he had been tried and found guilty in various courts of the world in absentia. The evidence against him was overwelming to the many attacks that took innocent civilian lives.

The SEAL Team took 40 minute on the bin laden raid. IN and out. With 3 men down. All of the wives and children unhurt and left for the Paksitanti government to have. 17 associated member of bin Laden compound taken as prisoners.

Had that been a alAqeada raid....women and children would be dead. All the men killed. And no prisoners taken. How do we know that? There is only US prisoner alive today in the hands of the Taliban. All the rest have been summarily executed or tortured to death on the battle field.

Mr here has become a 911 truther with statement like these. He just happen to forget the events of 911 which preceeded the GWB actions on Afghanistan. Then he also forget that GWB action on Iraq had a Congressional approval. Meaning it a it is ligitmate nation state war.

As for 650,000 Iraqi dead....the Iraqi government came out with a report that say 182,000 perished.

What I think is that bad things happen in war. Bad things happen under cruel dictators like Sadam Hussien as well. Obviously you would not mind a Iraq today that was run by Sadam, or his two sons, or their children, or their children, or their children, or their children....

Which is the same problem you have in Libya today. Qdaffi has set in place a long list of family members that will take over after he dies or leaves office. So the NATO air operation are ineffective against that kind of government transition. But boots on the ground can change it.....and have proved that in Iraq.

It good politics to aid minority home ownership by either party. But when the gap between Fannie and Freddie lending and repayment grew later in the GWB years...GWB proposed the new regulation...these reg were proposed in Feb of 2006. They would have placed a new regualtion agency over Fannie and Freddie and would have cut 1.4b in lending.

That is two years prior to the housing bubble collapse

Mr Minor details? The US government only has two political parties running it. Either one if they have enough offices and power can block the other on legislation.

The question you need to ask.....is why did the DEM block the GWB proposed regulation on Fannie and Freddie?

Here is why.

Both are quazi government corporations. Meaning they have both a government side of management and a corporation. They were both controlled in the later GWB years by the DEM. The DEM did not want GWB regulation intruding in on their turf. They were using Fannie and Freddie for low doc and no inocme housing leases. You know those financial instruments that went bad in the houseing bubble.

Clinton's administration had gotten Congressional legislation for banking that would have to lend to to no doc and low incomes. GWB saw the problem coming in the housing bubble. But teh DEM blocked him from doing anything about it.

22 members of SEAL TEAM 6 were killed in a Helo accident or shoot down in Afghanistan yesterday. Reports of from 31 to 38 were killed as a Chinook crashed in Eastern Afghanistan.

The Taliban are taking credit for a shoot down. And the military is saying there was hostile action in the area. But it is unclear to the cause at this point.

7 of the dead were Afghan soldier and President Karzai is sending his condolences to President Obama for the American lost. No names of the Americna have been releases pending notice of families.

None of the 22 Seal Team 6 were part of the bin Laden raid. Seal teams have two or three mission groups. Seems that this was a different mission group. But unclear at thsi point, if a stealth helo was involved. For it was the same Army helo unit that lifted Seal Team 6 on the bin Laden raid.

Russia has a straight 13% income tax on individuals and 20% tax on corporations. If we are going to fail....we have a good model of economic recovery in Russia to use to recover with.

Since Russia dropped its tax rates....its unemployment dropped, it per capt income income increased, and it GNP rose.

Well Fitch and S and P both bond raters ....degraded the American bonds from AAA to AA. The Chinese bond rater did the same. Moody kept it at AAA but placed it under down grade advisement for the next 2 years.

Tom Geither and FED.....said S & P made a 2 TRILLION error in their evaluation. The last time you or I had a 2 TRILLION DOLLAR mistake was when?:-) I quote the FED "A judgement flawed by a 2 trillion dollar error speaks for itself." But Fitch made the same error? The Chinese bond rate made the same error? No I don't think so.

The Stock market reacted like a anchor to all this last week. When the final bell rang and they gladly decided to go home for the weekend. As they left the market, there was good business at the local Japanese Sword Store....Sepicu blades were very popular.

The European market was offering 9mms Berettas The Russian market was offering any digestive nuclear isotope other other poison that could be smuggled into the country. I listened to a couple economist....one said this was a adjustment. The other said double dip in 2013. To be honest, I don't think any of them know what is going on. Which falls to the Obama administration failure to explain it.

Tim Geither and the bond rating agencies have a 2 trillion dollar difference in the accounting here. Does anyone see miscommunication here anyplace? Or?

President Obama is asking Tim Geither to stay onboard his administration as FED director. Just what if the 2 trillion error is on Tim's calculator? Old Tim knows he got it wrong and he want to hop out of town on a fast plane? Old Tim knows that these bond agencies crunch numbers in programs and computers that are nearly fail safe.

To be honest then.....and to be gentle

I would say some of the US cause crisis were indirectly Obama fault. Some were directly his fault. I will go one by one with you and go slowly.

BP oil crisis. Indirectly extended by the Obama administration. It took them 91 days to put a cap on it. And the coordination of the clean up and the payment to gulf victims was less that stellar.

Air Force Fly over of the State of Liberty. 100% directly the Commander in Chief fault.

The Boomer surfacing off NKorea. 100% directly the Commander in Chief fault.

The Economic chaos caused by the Health care bill. 100% directly attributed to President Obama who spoke on it over 210 time while running for office in 2008.

The failure of the Stimulus Bill TARP II. 100% directly the fault of the President. He let Pelosi and Reid back door a economic recovery bill into legislation that failed to stimulate the economy. The President is also the chief party for legislation creation in our government.

The NASA crisis. 100% the President fault again. He cut the Shuttle and the Aries programs

The unemployment crisis. "No higher than 8%" was the quote and his words. Today we are still at 9.1%. The cause the failed economic stimulus package. But here I think it is a indirect relationship and cause to the President.

Qdaffi Libyan crisis. He unilatroally decided to join NATO in this without Congressional approval. 100% Obama.

The FAA crisis has been resolved. And here he does get a break. This was Congressionally caused.

Share the wealth crisis. Go back to his 2008 campaigning. Share the wealth comment with Joe the plummer. 100% Obamas.

The Paksitani/US crisis post bin Laden. How many different stories did the White House come out with? No photos to verify the death? The raid self was a bit of expert military operations. Ordered by the President.
But the following crisis that came was also the White House's.

China and US, T-Bill, BOP and Currency Issue. Here I cut him some slack. He is not the US consumer buying China made goods in the malls. While they have attempted to get the currency issue under control they have not done well it. And he can restrict the sale of government treasuries to China. That is one his calls as the President. So say 20% his fault.

REP had little to do with these. First two of his administration they were the minority party and out of office.

But like I said....why point fingers.....it is all good (fun) as they say in the south.

All I can say is...look at all the fun we have had since President Obama took office. Don't go into the crisis that were not of the countries making......the Japanese Earthquake, the Haiti earthquake, the New Zealand Earthquake, the China Earthquake, the Arab Spring, the Middle East Isreal & Palistine fight, the Greek fiscal crisis, the Irish fiscal crisis, the other EU fiscal crisis......

to be fair you have to say these were not US caused crisis.

But just look at the crisis that were the countries fault.....the BP oil crisis, the debt crisis, housing crisis, the healthcare debate crisis, the Libyan Qdaffi crisis, the maybe ICBM launched at China crisis, the NASA crisis, the unemployment crisis, the Boomer surfacing near NKorea crisis, the Statute of Liberty fly over crisis, the FAA crisis, the Tax hike crisis, the share the wealth crisis, the Pakistani/US crisis post bin Laden, the Chinese BOP and the Note crisis.......these and a few others were American caused crisis.

again to be fair.....we cannot blame President Obama for all these crisis. Clearly he had other things to do that were more important than to with his time in office than to plan these crisis. The question that the American people are asking, is what other things has he been doing?
