You were talking prosperity. As I said housing was only one criteria. Housing construction in the US is a major employer. It makes new jobs in construction and in manufacturing. A good share of our unemployment is accountable to the weak housing market. That is accountable still to the Frank decision.
Even though Barney Frank knocked down the price of housing....he did not find the personal income increases to afford even the lower cost housing. Equity is something that belongs to the home owner who has invested in and maintained his home. Not to the government. The way I see it, Frank did not have the 'right' to do what he did.
Barney Frank eroded a lot of sweat equity that American home owner had placed into their homes. Hence it was a real lost to their prosperity.
But some screwy House Finance Commmittee rules allowed him to make the re-appriasal. Am not even sure he acted on passed legislation.

I totally agree. They can tell you were the cheapest gas in town is. They give accurate changes back when breaking a $20, if you let them! They know the best diner in the city with the best prices. They know what roads need to be resurfaced and when the job begins and ends.

As the midwest goes thru the harshest drought in 40 years....with 2/3rd of the country in sever drought conditions....the President offer to aid ranchers, farmers with a government purchase plan of a measely 170m.
Basically stealing their herds and livestock that they have the choice to watch dieing to the drought conditions. Or selling to the Fed government at prices so low they likely cannot buy replacement herds and livestock after the drought ends.
The theft or purchase (depending on your view) of the beef and pigs is for government food give away programs for poor and homeless sheltered. Many are long time Obama supporters. In essence Obama is buying distressed cattle and hogs to give free food to his supporter just before the election.

Both cattle and hogs are up around 25% because of the solid foreign market demand. Obama does not need to spend the 170m to 'save' western herds and pigs farmers in the drought. His 170m is wasted Federal spending.
Can you give us a site to Bain Capitol using pension plans? Or are you just reciting DEM bullet points on Mitt Romney. See who controls the retirement and pension plans at most unionized businesses? The Union does. Or the management in non union businesses. So becareful when you check who stole the retirements.....you might just find it was a union.
Bain Capitol is only part of the management if the loan was a equity investment. Then it will be likely be less than a majority shareholder. So does not have 100% say in the retirement plans of a company. It is in the by law of most corporations.
Bain also made commercial loans and non equity investments. So of the 77 deals in which Romney was involved in at Bain....how many of them became equity? how many were non equity? how many commercial loans? Did the equity loan ....lose retirement and pension benefits? Because in the non equity and commercial loans....Romney is clean as a dove.
Qouting Herb Hoover might be impressive, if it was 1930s. But most of us live in 2012. Business and society has changed since then. Hoover knew absolutely nothing of our 15 trillion deficit. He would be flabberglass :) to see the country with it.

Say what you can about Ryan's Plan for Prosperity and its effects on seniors medicare...it was only a proposed plan that has not cut dollar one from medicare. Seniors know the difference between a proposed plan and actual budget cut.....they know the difference.
Whom ever this guy is....you got to feel somewhat bad for him. If he is CIA, he is looking at a trial and quick trip to either a wall or a long prison stay. If he is some retired Marine, just vacationing in the country, he is still looking at charges and some court sessions. If is some American that want to see the Aztec ruins in Venezuela. Am sorry, But I just had lunch with a retired Navy SEAL Lt Commander....the last person in the world ....you would think was a SoF type. What ever charges Chavez makes up for the guy. The International community needs to step up to the plate and call him to provide the evidence on them all. Not some kangeroo court, like the Chinese murder trial of Mrs Bo.....7 hours long and a guilty plea at the end. The guilty plea likely saved her life. That is how it works in China. And how it works in Chavez's country most of the time.
If this get to trial, will Preisdent Obama do what he did with the three lose packers in Iran? Deny that they were any part of the CIA...or were spies. Then get extorted to get him out? Like he was in Iran?

I do know this....Mr. Chavez has a small company in the US called CITGO....I can see a small rebellion coming at the CITGO stations real soon if this guy gets a kangeroo court sentence.
Until 2014, we have a privatized medical system anyways. That is when Obama ACA kicks in. That ACA that took 700b from those Florida senior medicare. Romney and Ryan are promising to strike the ACA and replace the 700b (some or all) back into medicare.
